hi is there a gyroscope inside or i must buy one
No gyroscope was used in the video. A gyroscope is not needed.
@@byebyeracing4277 ok thank you 👍
Even with the Drift tires?
@Polo_Bolo it is not possible to drift consistently with Mini-z RWD. You will need an aftermarket chassis like Atomic DRZ with gyroscope for drifting.
Hey. I can't ever post in that buy sell group on Facebook.
@@Ohio_Hobbies_Guy I'll look at your membership. Unsure why at this point. What's your FB name?
@@byebyeracing4277 i left and rejoined last night. It works now
Great video, nice track setup you have!
Great looking Lexus 😊
Looks super fun! where can you buy the trailers used from? and how does the mounting to chassis work?
We used heavy gauge wire and fixed it to the chassis or body however we could as long as it doesn't swing.
Here is the file for free to download with instructions to build it. www.thingiverse.com/thing:2044524
You can also check out these trailers for purchase- www.etsy.com/search?q=sleekrc&ref=search_bar
I feel like I need a college class just learning about mini Zs... just now getting into them and good lord. So much info and not a lot of resources out their explaining.
I've got the buggy version of the kyosho mini z and its a fun little car.
Pretty cool!
Is this still "a thing" yet?? Just got into the mini racing.
Yup- www.etsy.com/listing/1196098439/go-kart-conversion-kit-for-kyosho-mini-z?click_key=d99eeb5307b343753c82bf923c955caf0430691e%3A1196098439&click_sum=3daf4f11&ref=shop_home_recs_1&frs=1&crt=1
For 40 bucks it's worth buying five or six of these maybe 10 and have your own mini z track in your shop or man cave and that way you and your friends can all erase them not have to worry about a $200 mini z getting tore up
💪🙂👍
💪🙂👍
Thanks for the info. I’m just entering to the mini z platform. Tires info was a great help and even better to see the difference on the track.
I just ordered my first mini-z and feeling overwhelmed with this amount of information!! I don't really know if I will be able of manage so much!!! 🤦🏽♂️
Do you have a local club or track to practice and ask questions?
So what kinds of surface are the stock tires for?
Outside use. Use caution though as there is only a few mm clearance. The stock tires are harder than those used on RCP tracks as in the video. They are less prone to picking up dust because they are not soft. Coarse surfaces are good for the hardness of the stock tires.
@@byebyeracing4277 That's great info! What about hardwood? What would my best tire choice for hardwood be?
Thank you! Use a softer treaded tire for the back. You'll still pick up dust however. For the front tires I suggest a 30 or 40 low profile,@@SpinShoeGuru
Hi, My AWD shells are: Subaru Impreza 22b sti I installed 1 + 1 (Front) and 2 + 2 (Rear) ok? Honda civic type r I made 3 + 3 (front) and 4 + 4 (Rear) ok? Thanks For ma020, Thanks
This also works for buggy optima mid?
What kind of track is that? Looks cool
RCP Track. It's the best way to experience this scale.
@@byebyeracing4277 Great video...which # for the RCP track is this and do you have a link ?
@joe7406 this is a couple of Wide L tracks and the wide inside turn track rcptracks.com/products/rcp-tracks%E2%84%A2-50cm-sets rcptracks.com/products/rcp-tracks%E2%84%A2-50cm-large-radius-inside-turn Looks like you can get better deals through their authilorized resellers however.

Oh goodness...life happens. I think I need to give the people what they want! Thank you.
Hi Does the board still fry if you keep accelerating when the wheels can't move? I had mini z's many years ago and some friends burnt their board like that Kind regards
Possibly
Which chassis for a 94mm RWD? I want to use a Mitsubishi EVO on a RWD chassis but info is hard to find. MR-03 RM? Kyosho should really make this easier to figure out.
All of the chassis support 94mm RM. It's the furthest setting with the RM T-plate and RM motor mount.
amazing job on the video. is it possible to mount mr-01 bodies onto an mr-03 chassis?
Yes, however you have to consider that most MR-01 chassis was originally narrow. That said, bodies that are wide used wide offsets. Plan to purchase the associated motor mount and plan to switch to a narrow front end since MR-01 wheels are wider offset meant for a narrow chassis.
Awesome 👌 explanation thank you
Great video. When purchasing a Mini-Z MR03 does it come with the required motor mounts etc to make all of the different configs? I am thinking of buying a couple of these to mount under 1/24 scale model cars or diecasts,
My local shop uses these for the amateur track so me and my son are looking into them. Great review with good coverage of different parts.
If the radio uses FHSS 2.4ghz protocol, am I able to bind this to my Futaba T3PV radio?
Unfortunately, no. MXO Racing makes an aftermarket receiver for SFHSS that is compatible with the EVO series of Mini-z chassis.
Cool video im looking to get a mini z just for some fun on garage or inside laminate floor is the 2wd harder to drift compared to awd
Yes.
@@toffe777 thanks for the reply saved me some money 👍
Could you put all your mini z for beginners in a playlist?
Is is possible to communicate with you? I am about to buy my first mini RC and have questions.
byebyeracing.com, byebyeracing@gmail.com or you can ask at the mini-z buy/sell/trade group on FB.
How do I pair this transmitter I did the steps in the video but nothing happened when I turn the wheel or hit the gas
After placing the chassis in pair mode you must turn the radio off then on again.
👍👍👍
I got a mini-z a couple weeks ago and was disappointed by the speed. I didn't realize that there were two modes. I can't wait to get home and try it in normal mode. Can you link the different tires that you show in the video please. Thanks!

@@byebyeracing4277 Thank you!
These things are awesome
10'000 kv is a bit of an overkill when for most drivers I know 5'000 kv is high. You can always dial it down, but an extremely high kv will make you lose torque / low end acceleration. So unless the track consists only of very long straights, while it has amazing top speed, it shouldn't actually be quick around the circuit. For reference: at the moment I drive a 2500kv (which is a bit more powerful than a standard Mini-Z) on a carpet track and even then need to be really soft on the throttle not have the wheels spin on me.
Класс спасибо
Very good introduction video - I’ve just purchased my first mini z - a RWD. I was running it on polished timber flooring and it was sliding and almost uncontrollable with the stock tyres. Would the tyres you suggest make much of a difference on this surface ?
It's hard to pin down a specific set of tires. The softer the better for grip but you also need to prep the surface by sweeping and mopping. Even then you can't get everything.
Whats the fastest configuration around the track?
102mm is very stable and typically wider. 98mm is the most common and covers the range of classes from stock to open class.
Subscribed! I'm a newb. ;) Awesome stuff here Chris! Thanks!
A Mini-Z World Champ a NewB? lol
Holy i thought mine was already fast
Did you do anything to the differential? Since they are not locked differential my car slips every way around because one tire has more power. I’m also just using it on my kitchen floor and maybe too dusty for the tires? Compared to your tracks grip . Specifically in left turns. But all in all how was your experience with the differential?
The diff in this video was dry. Adding a heavy grease will lock it up somewhat but that may not be the solution. At this scale the power easily overcomes grip on slick surfaces. you could run a ball differential and adjust it so that it slips slightly. However, even with the stickiest tires you're not going to achieve the grip levels you would where both surfaces are rubber.
I watched this video and just ordered a mini Z, thanks for the good content
Are there still parts available for a mini mr03 ve? I have the opportunity to get one fairly cheap
Yes. Pretty much everything that is available for the MR-03 can be used with the VE with the exception of some Kyosho specific EVO front end parts.
What would be the fastest mini z to buy?
kyoshoamerica.com/rccar/mini-z-racer-mr-03evo-chassis-set-w-mm-8500kv-32799.html
I put it into regular mode and my steering works but my motor doesn’t work. Can some one help me
That's odd. Typically, when you have steering but no motor it's either low batteries or yhe motor tabs need to be tightened.
@@byebyeracing4277 I figured it out one of my wires got pulled out so I soldered it back on to the terminal
@@dinkmaster9284 glad to hear. That can happen as well.
Wish you would have talked about how it effects the driving of these different frames.
You did everything by yourself
Just the red parts. The other parts like the motor mount and the wheels and differential are from Kyosho or Mini-z parts.
How do I change my mini z wide mm to lm I want to fit the Toyota gt one body on it any help would be appreciated
You will need the LM motor mount MZ305 , LM differential MZ302 and various parts that already come with the MM kit like the T-plate and the rear shock set.
Even your explanation does not clearly identify which is which.
My man.
Thank you 🙏
