Being an Evo X owner myself This guy Sounds more like a hater of Evo's Most of these complaints. Are And inaccurate Let's start with some of his complaints,#1 The intercooler piping really? Have you seen the subaru Engine bay lately? It looks like an octopus lives in there The Intercooler piping of an Evo is very easy to get out of the way if you happen to be working on your Engine And that's if it's in the way. Plus if you want to add color to your engine bay, you can powder Coat it Wrinkle finish it or Chrome it In different colors.. #2 Next was the rear part of the car. Now I don't know about you but I see a lot of function in the back of that vehicle. For one, if you've noticed, the trunk is very flat to add down force to the rear side of the vehicle And if you want, you can take off the wing and just add a gurney, flap looks great and functional. As for the lights, there's plenty of options that make the car look completely different and functional That can do dare I say better performance than the original o e m ones Keeping the car from not looking old, Ask for the wing it's Not too big, but not too small, and When you put a gurney flap on top of the wing looks 🔥 But all he sees is a big rear end Not seeing the vision of the mitsubishi Racing engineers Vision That by making a wide rear end Gives you A Very wide stance And then you add some big Boxy flares on all 4 sides And it makes it have more functionality by making it more wide But you know what you get out of that Functionality Wider tires!! Just look at the stockwheels 18x81/2 Enkei's That's pretty good, but if you want more well. You can rock Wheels that are 18x9 1/2 Or if you want that super aggressive look 18 x10 1/2 With a little Roll and pull on some fenders And bam, you got it With no rubbing., And With no need of wide body kit Needed. something that the Evo 8 and 9 Dream about but can't do It without installing a wide body kit This increases handling Which means functional and don't tell me that, The diffuser wasn't copied by a lot of cars, and Don't tell me. that the varis rear bumper on that Evo x doesn't look sexy With that extra diffuser adaptation. And if here in the states, we would have been able to get. the FQ 400 We are bumper With center exhaustion system Yes you heard it right center OEM exhaust!!! Is that to me is just the chef's kiss 😘 And if you want to know how wide Of wheels You can put in a evo with that wide body Varis kit. I've heard it can go up to 19x12 1/2 in the front!!!!! Now that's crazy!! And let me tell you It looks like stock Fitment , And it makes them look like a rocket ship.🤩 #3 Interior now I don't know about you. But how many times do we have to say it? Evo owners don't care about interior!!! If you did go by yourself a golf R That goes for $48,000 That are super heavy,They have excellent interiors That they can see all day , but you know what golf R Are used to seeing All day as well? my Evo X tail lights!! So when we stop At a gas station to talk About how I took them to Gapplebee's They'll usually say something like Your EVO is fast!! What did you do to it? I'll just say. It's not the fastest But it's quick, But Look at Your car, it has a great interior!!!! Anybody that likes time attack knows that all they need Is a good pair of seats which the Evo Has Recaro seats , Easy to see gages And the rest of the money that the Mitsubishi engineers would have used to make the interior more Luxurious I rather Them put that Extra money into the suspension or the AYC or the motor Or breaks , So putting all this extra luxury parts like heated Seats and Soft touch leather, that's just gonna add weight to the car. And it's already heavy as it is So that's my opinion on that Thank you, mitsubishi racing engineers for doing the wise choice And keeping the evolution Race-inspired And also releasing the Evo 8 RS model With An impressive power to weight ratio. #4 Complaining about the transmission now, This is something that took me by surprise. Because everybody knows that the 5 speed gearbox for the Evo Is the best And strongest transmission to chose, why? Because it can hold the most power Which is what everybody wants eventually, unlike the 6 speed mr. That really can't hold the power unless modified Or just Swap out the 6 speed for a 5 speed Do two better internals, And we're talking 600 horsepower and up. As far as long distance driving, the car was never made for that The kind of car seats the car comes with tells you that right off the bat. I don't know if you've ever noticed, But WRC tracks are not really long, And that's what the car was based on. It's more for Mountain roads With a lot of Twisty turns,small back roads driving And maybe some city driving depending how close you are to your job. And yes, you can drive the Evo in the city. I live in LA And my Evo Gsr is my daily So I know how bad it can get in traffic ,And if it's really that serious, you can change the gear ratios From the transmission to the diff,That way you can now have a tall, 4th, and 5th gear. That's why Evo's are now are good at role races.🤫😊 #5 Sound system now this is another one. If you notice, he upgraded his radio and it didn't cost a lot $200 to $300 bucks? You can go that route but But don't complain if you chose bad Components and didn't get the Desired sound Quality that you wanted, That's his bad, not mitsubishi Or like he likes to say it's a lancer thing.As far as the speaker's My Evo came with A Rockford Radio with 7 Fosgate speakers And a Rocksford Fosgate amp under the driver seat. Two mid speakers On top of the doors. And 4 speakers on the bottom of the doors and one boom box in the trunk And the MR came with 2 mid speakers on the rear doors on the top of each door. Making it making it 9 speakers in all.. What more do you want? And if not, then just upgrade like everybody else, does no biggie. #6 Suspension this was another one that puzzled me considering the Evo It's considered one of the best handling Stock cars of all time Maybe it's because they come equipped with Eibach springs and Bilstein struts. Or it came with the KYB Springs and struts, Now Those suspension is not bad Especially the Bilstein one's , but if you wanna go track racing hardcore Then no Stock suspension setup has too much body roll In high speeds But for average driving. And a little spirited driving in the street More then Good enough.But nothing that a pear of Springs or swaybar Or decently priced coilovers can't fix, and if you have the money like he did And you want to go Semi hardcore at the track Or street. You buy OHLIN'S suspension Which will make your car Have a softer Ride than the stock suspension but Stiff enough to be awesome at the track, And if not Stiff enough Give it 2 more clicks and your car will become a go cart Rock hard. But this guy says it's not good enough!!! I don't know what Mexico Baja Rock trails Hes going in, but dammm🤔 And Just in case people want to know,Yes, My Gsr has Ohlin's installed And I love them 😍 alongside my white line Adjustable sway bars & Bushings And other goodies Cough" cough "complete Cusco bottom Front ,center and rear stiffening bracing in matching blue 😙🎶🎵 #7 And last but not least the Name, Really? Do you know how many cool cars have evolution right next to it?let me give you some examples 1995 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione II ,2020 Ferrari 488 GT3 Evolution, 1990 Champion car. The AMG Mercedes 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II I have more examples but you know what I mean. From old to new, the name is iconic. And if you think the name Evolution X MR or GSR Is too long Here's the solution Take out 8 letters and you have this. Evo X MR But in my personal experience, I prefer it to have the letters. Since everybody likes to debadge their cars. Nobody knows what it is. I can't count how many times they ask me if mine is A GSR Until they see the stick shift. So it doesn't bother me Because I purchased A GSR badge that I can put on my front grill. And it looks fantastic.👍 And for all you Evo GSR owners. I highly recommend it comes in multiple colors, great quality. Look for It in eBay You're welcome. So I hope this helped a lot of people Out there that want to purchase an Eov X To not be discouraged because there's plenty of after market for this car. Best Bang for the buck, in my opinion. And I'm pretty sure the car sold fast. Hey, won't care about the things he didn't like about the EvoX And it's amazing that after all this time since the release of the Evo x, how the prices have been going up. Looks like they don't care about those complaints either. Because the car is just straight fire🔥🔥 and he will miss it guaranteed. 😭💭 All these cars that I thought would be better than the Evo cost so much $50-70K.😭💭 I know I shouldn't have sold the Evo!!
