Awesome!
🤙
why almost all photography documentaries have always use awful cheesy music?
The sucesss came too fast and heavy to him constant in additon to his ego and he had a mental breakdown. Im sure he still shoots maybe more in a private manner. I saw he still got his cameras and even some new ones like the s9.
2:56 I believe so too. I can’t decide between the HDF and Street model I would love the effect that the HDF would bring but I LOVE the look of the street edition …. Tough one but I feel the same way like you said If you like the look, you’ll eventually bring it out more often and take more photos, which result in better photos in a way …
I got my zine internationally. Yes, it took some time. Yes, at some point I thought it wasn’t going to arrive. But it got here and it’s beautiful, and I’m happy I’ve been patient. Trevor’s photos are of course beautiful, the captions are brilliant and the quality of the paper is high. All in all a great product and artwork. They probably just weren’t expecting the handling of this many orders to be so complex and this has caused delays and communication difficulties, These are artists, not experts in logistics of shipping stuff. I don’t think Trevor and his friend will watch this video, but should they end up here, I would recommend to ignore. People are always going to hate.
It seems like most photographers when they take pictures for their own enjoyment is focusing on the hunt for at good picture as the most interesting on the process. It’s about feeling alive. It forces most of them to get out and meet other people and places. But as soon as the picture is taken they turn their back and go hunting for the next one. I think there’s two problems with that; one they see the world in about few inches ( the screen on The Phone or camera) and two: they don’t stay in the moment and suck in the moment. It’s a fragmented world. I have admitted to myself that I take pictures to get the feeling of being alive. Being observant and aware of what is going on around me. And next; I will with pleasure stay around when the picture have been taken. The moment might still be there.
This guy is hating damn
$50? You can get a taschen book for less
AI is AI (and what it will turn out to be eventually, we will just have to see, same as with Photoshop), but dont'compare it to SP or Documentary Photography. It just two different things. A lot of negative reactions come out of being scared. Scared of loosing your own thing. I think think the possibilty of generating AI images, the fact that you can produce whatever you want from your room, makes "Old school" SP even more special.
Great one ☝️
🤘 ❤️
Sam uses the exact same settings as me...unfortunately that's where any similarity with our work ends!
🤣 🤣 it’s ok. Hopefully you can now find the light and progress with your work. Same with me
Excellent Street Photography doumentary, both myself and wife loved it. Inspiring and motivating.

Awesome video, thanks Tim! 😎👍

Great video.

Loved this! Thanks man, also a big fan of your documentary! Thanks for everything!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Eric Kim's path is very shocking to me. As a beginner, I just found Eric Kim's channel a couple weeks ago, and was going through his videos which were really good teaching videos, getting very excited to see what he was up to nowadays. I was shocked to see how unhinged he appears now. Nothing about photography and it's all about Bitcoins, alpha male talks, demigod talk, all very odd and the polar opposite of what he was just 3-4 years ago. This video definitely helped put some context behind it. Seems like what might happen if you live off of posting content every single day. It probably consumes you - in an unhealthy way. Some of the odd things I saw on his website, the $5000 workshops and $500 camera straps but also giving away a lot for free completely makes sense now after reading his 'how he made 200k in photography' blog. He actually says exactly why he does that. Anyways I think he's a GREAT teacher and photographer, and I hope he somehow shifts his content back to that - but if he doesn't, I understand that too
The next Winogrand?? Lmao. What are y'all smoking?
Wow, I thoroughly enjoyed this !
Glad you enjoyed it!

This documentary has truly opened my eyes to street photography in a different and inspiring way. As someone still learning about this art, I found it incredibly insightful and valuable. I recently joined a Facebook group called Street Photography, and while the community has talented photographers, I’ve noticed some members can have very high, rigid standards-many of the photographers featured in this documentary might not even ‘pass’ by their criteria. Watching this has reminded me that street photography is about creativity and storytelling, not just following strict rules. I’m glad I watched this-it’s a step in the right direction for my learning journey. Thank you for this video! I just subscribed!
I do my commercial work with two 8 year old camera bodies. They have plenty resolution, still work well. For street I use something older and worse with less resolution. No client has ever asked me about gear.
I've been following Trevor's work for about a year. Every hipster on instagram post-covid seems to be slinging an M6 and doing street photography in NYC, and as someone who has been doing street for 20 years, I haven't seen anyone with truly a new style or process. I ordered the book a while back, maybe 6 months ago, then forgot about it. I remember it maybe a few weeks ago and messaged him, and he responded and got me the book in about a week. My take on this whole thing is Trevor is a good dude, original art is hard, and being a full time artist is damn near impossible. This is his first zine, and sure its slow. Just message him if you havent gotten it yet. I dont think speculating over all this stuff is productive. Now what I will share is the Zine is great. Its good quality stock, and man, his work is just so good. Even the small details of the throw back design choices and the JPG file names as the titles of each image. I support the guy, it's killer work. Send the corrective message to remind him of the order, and he'll respond and get it out to you.
It’s amazing how an AI can be so observant of social situations and notices things I didn’t even notice (though it’s not like I am a master of observation). I have been playing with different versions of ChatGPT and depending on how I ask the question the same picture could get a 4.5 in one version and a 3 in another. So it’s definitely not objective… it has the same problems than with jurors where you can get rejected in a show and score high or even win in another. And the fact that even ChatGPT is inconsistent is a good thing!
That’s good the different ai apps are inconsistent. I think everyone just need to take this with a grain of salt and have fun or not 😅
Photography is by definition a biased representation of the world: someone (the photographer) has consciously chosen to capture a moment within a set frame. Photography has NEVER been objective.
I, Critic? They’re all fives, stupid robots. That said, rejected by the street comps, you’ve moved on to robots for validation, it’s quite sad😉. Actually the interpretation was very interesting and perceptive. I’ve never noticed the dog in your orange shot, nor the chickens amongst the pigeons.
😂 you know life is getting pretty sad when robot have to fill the void
Of course, the wife isn't happy about something while on vacation. And the husband looks like he is thinking about his life decisions.
Looks and sounds all too real 😅
I just tried it out with my best work (in my opinion). Can't get over 3.5/5... RIP haha
🤣 🤣 💀
Thanks for this. Gotta give this a try. I've had GPT critique some of my writing, and it does throw out some good points and bad. In fairness, I think you may have got a 5, if you didn't specifically ask for a roasting. 😂
🤣 maybe that was it. The future looks bright 😃
Wow I screwed up on the upload. Usually I do a Premiere LIVe so everyone gets notified 😅 but it didn’t. I worked long hours on this. Please like and share. Also I want to know what ChatGPT says about your photos. 🥂
BE NICE TO CHATGPT HE’S MY BESTIE AND THERAPIST
Trevor reached out to me via Instagram and I finally got my zine including a print. I am really happy everything worked out fine in the end ❤
Got my zine (in Australia) and love it. Purchasing of the zine was to support an artist I like. Trevor is gracious and has a dynamic personality. This guy misjudges.
This is grubby content.
Got my zine and love it. Purchasing of the zine was to support an artist I like. Rather than being jealous of other peoples success and/or ponuncing on them like vulutres if they falter slightly. How about we support each other as artists? Trevor is gracious and has a dynamic personality. You misjudge.
Good job, Tim. A very worthy set of pics, and tough to argue with your ranking. Looking forward to next year!
Thanks for watching 🙏
Leicas are for Novice.
You said it not me 🙃
I did get my zine, it took a while to get to me but it eventually did. Trevor did write to apologize for the inconvenience with the timing.
The simplest camera to use is usually the best choice within image quality considerations. A good old film cameras with depth of field markings for focus bracketing is my choice.
For clarity sake, Im writing this, because Trevor asked me to leave my honest experience with him on this Video, everything I write are my own words and he didn't dictate anything I should say. I ordered the Zine in August of last year, got ghosted by the Instagram account and never received my copy. After venting my disappointment in his DM's (and his Instagram comments) I've made my peace with my financial loss and moved on with my life, until one day. Trevor himself reached out to me directly and said that the he send the Zine out to me and that he had no idea, that many of the copies didn't made it to the buyers, especially the international ones (im from Germany) he also explained, that his partners, two other people, fucked him over and he was alone with all the problems that came up. He further said, that some bad things happened in his personal life wich made dealing with all this even harder. (he didn't elaborate further but I didn't pushed him on this, that would've been shitty) we talked for a bit and he, at least to my believe, clearly made an effort to do things right with the people he wronged. I've said to him, that he MUST do an update video or post of some sorts, explaining what happened (as much as he is comfortable to say in regards to his personal life) and he said he would post a video on his UA-cam Channel were he will explain what he feels comfortable sharing to the public. He held his word and I received my Zine without having to pay anything more. I totally get the people that would still be angry with him after all the radio silence and maybe you think he just buttered me up and im one of a few people he send the zine to but please remember that he is also a human and apparently had a really hard time. I for one am no one to hold a grudge against someone who tries to make the things right he fucked up, and I really had the feeling while talking to him, that he is trying to do just that. what you do with all that information is you own choice, but I feel like he deserves to be heard in all of this.
I'm from Mexico and bought a zine back in the day, it took a while for it to arrive, but It finally did. Trevor did contact me to apologize about the delay and explained what happened. Like everyone else who bought a Zine , I did it because I like his work and I'm glad I got to support him.
That camera specs part, I feel it so hard. I actually said the same thing in my latest video upload lol
Really? I’ll check it out this week 🤙
