BMI is outdated, better to look at body fat , easiest way is to pinch an inch of flesh on your arm, general rule of thumb is if you cal roll it you body fat percentage is higher than 5.

M in BMI stands for mass... It makes a big difference for the health whether this mass consists of muscles or of fat.

I haven't checked my BMI in years, but I remember about 15 years ago I started hitting the gym. I did a BMI calculation and an actual body fat calculation. My BMI was 42%, but my body fat calculation was a 29.2. Still not good, but BMI is misleading for sure.

BMI is trash. By itself it tells you NOTHING.

And yet the military uses bmi specifically for recruiting purposes.
