I'm an addict myself. I lost my child in 2020 due to a car accident. That me and my wife was involved in We were already struggling with a place to stay at that point in time. We got into the accident and lost our child. And things took a drastic turn for the worse for us. We were homeless living in and out of motels. No vehicle, no jobs, no income. With addictions Today we can say we are almost two years clean. We rent our own home and own our vehicle and atv we have pets also but Through god, hard work and determination We made it through it together and are living a very happy, healthy life. Today we do miss our child We extremely miss her We do know she would not want us to give up and would want us to keep pushing and living the best life. We can with the help of the good Lord. Through him, all things are possible.I pray you guys find your peace

What pisses me off is when people with homes turn up there nose and tell homeless people to get a job and stop being bums but look it’s hard enough to get a good job when you have a home. When you’re homeless and can’t shower, brush your hair, teeth, have clean clothes etc it makes it super SUPER hard to get any job much less a good one.

Totally agree with you! And part of the reason we do these interviews is so that people can get a better understanding of what people are really dealing with and hopefully they can have more compassion and get a better sense of how hard it really is, not just for the people dealing with hardships but regular people who are one mistake or bad decision away from being in the same situation
