Getting your feelings hurt so often kills all motivation to improve your current situation. These people need support and compassion and definitely not judgement

The thing about being ostracized, being made fun of, being so harshly judged by too many people in the way he is talking about, is that it actually threatens our survival. People say words don't actually hurt, that only physical things hurt. But the problem is that when people are ostracized they are actually and in reality being outcasted. We are social beings. We need each other to survive. The chances of us getting help when we need it is drastically lowered when we are outcasted. The chances of finding a group to watch each other's backs (like family or true friends etc.) is drastically lowered. Our very lives are in more danger. Just living alone puts us in more actual danger, especially the elderly or people with health issues. The less you are accepted by the group, the less chance you have to be safe. That's why it hurt so much emotionally. We may not be aware of the connection, but our emotions are telling us we are outcast, abandoned, and unsafe. Tears for this man, and all the others....

I've been there done that on and off for years. Ill just never understand why people choose to remain in the big fd up cities, go to a smaller city and things change, most cities give out vouchers for the greyhound. Big cities are only going to get worse and more expensive.💯. Take care man. stay safe.

There are some resources in this city, but most people don’t like the process

This is why I always smile and wave, say hello to the homeless. Everytime I go to Vegas my wife wants to smoke but only smoke like 2 of them. So I will go around and give them out. A lot of times they’re abrasive, on guard from people being mean to them. They think I’m just pranking them. I’ve even had some ask me oh so I’m homeless you assume I smoke?! They take them anyways lol. I let them know I’m just giving them out if they wanna sell or trade them for something that’s fine. The smokes would end up in the trash otherwise so I figure may as well see if anyone wants some

It’s because if people aren’t addicted to a substance bf ending up on the streets, they end up doing drugs just to cope with being out there

Not a single word about work and money. Money fixes almost every homeless problem.
Youll still be homeless but youll be more clean, have money, and can put that twards things.
These stories of the homeless are that they spent their entire lives doing jack shit or fucked up shit because they are. Thats why they are homeless. Dude gets a psycho ssdi check. He gets like 1300 a month. I have zero sympathy. He out there talking bout killing people. I woulda helped him out all right

Some people need more advice, encouragement, & direction than others. I do agree with you, but I understand why motivation and encouragement is necessary, some people just don’t know how to figure certain things out on their own

Right, you're not wrong but it comes down to this then: We are bad people for giving him a 1300 SSDI Psycho payday every month then letting him be 'Free' to obviously wreck himself and others around him.
Instead, he should have no choice but to be admitted to a perfectly nice long-term mental asylum where we're safe but he's then safe from himself. The 1300 a month can go to the Asylum and everybody wins.

Where did he say he was getting 1300 a month? And yes, unless you didn't hear, he did say he worked a job as a chef at the 2:50 mark. He had a tragedy where he lost his brother and mother, which is how he became the way he is. Not everyone deals with depression similarly. Yes, he made a foolish mistake inflicting violence, but not everyone copes easily with trauma and stress. And even if he was getting 1300 a month, that's barely enough to pay for the cost of living and food combined. He also worked as a chef, why wouldn't he be entitled to SSDI money? It's like you NEED someone to complain about 🙄
