I have an hourglass shape but I’m very soft and fleshy which makes my stomach lumpy. The issue I’ve had with shape wear is, while it does smooth me, it makes me look significantly wider and I lose my hourglass shape. I’m assuming it’s because they squish my fat sideways. I also have a short torso with a high hip shelf so I don’t have much room to play with. Do you know of any shape wear that might be able to smooth my stomach without making me wider that’s not a waist cincher or corset? Appreciate your video! It’s super informative!

Very cool! I’m growing my hair out, it’s shoulder length now. It’s also straight and slick. The only way I’ve been able to do any kind of an up-do was with a claw clip. Not vintage and not all that attractive. I’ll give these a try! (PS:Your hair is really gorgeous 😍)

Sadly, Retrospec'd appears to have moved their manufacturing offshore to India. I hope this does not mean a decline in quality. Already, one of the dresses does not have the signature self-lined bodice.

These are great tips. I would add that as someone with extremely damaged, dry but fine/flyaway curly hair, I absolutely must use a conditioner or my hair will be nothing but frizz. The solution I have come up with is to use an apple cider vinegar rinse to smooth the cuticle of my hair and to clarify or remove any heavy waxes from the conditioner. I have also rinsed my hair with the purified water from our kitchen sink, which has a built-in filter. That has helped with hard water issues as well.

All my Rockin’ Rollers came in just one size. I’m not sure why my pack didn’t contain the smaller ones.

I'm 60 which has barely missed learning the secrets of wetsuits and classic cosmetics from my mom and my much older sister. Farrah Fawcett straight, feathered, blow-dried hair was de rigueur when I was in junior high. It never suited my extremely curly hair and clumsy hands. I'm glad you're doing a vintage channel for those of us who are of a certain vintage!
