Hairnets have changed my life! My wet sets have been looking rather messy lately, but a hairnet gives it such a nice pulled together look. I used one every day at Viva this year. I love how you styled your hair in this video; thank you!
I love seeing vintage hair tutorials on more realistically fine hair and for hot humid weather (which seems to be lacking on UA-cam). Thank you so much! :)
I really appreciate wearing a hairnet on my sets on a windy day, especially here in the UK! Such a vital hair accessory for vintage styles. Great video. Xx
I guess I will be doing something with my Jaconet hair nets soon! I like the idea of using the hairnets to keep the curls in shape and in place especially in the PNW where the rain/drizzle is perennial! I guess the net could be an alternative to massive amounts of hair spray in hopes that the curls don't loosen up and fade so quickly! I got that calendar with the lady and the kitty cat! They are priceless and a treasure!
Amen to that! I live in Seattle and can't agree more: gotta get me some and see if these will hold up the curls in this awful windy, wet weather we are experiencing! 🌬️😘
I guess part of the reason I've been more snood than net is because I grew up with those clip in bows with the snood combo, but also because I have a lot of hair so I was always worried my hair would be "droopy" in just a hairnet.
I enjoyed your "roller series" and have been playing around with my 55 y.o. low density, fine hair. I think I will give the hair net a try at least as a way to preserve all the work. *Question* ? Would you sleep in the hair net with a satin bonnet over it? or remove the net all together?
Another possible suggestion for you: I bought a 3 pack of poly-satin sleeping bonnets (in various solid colors) on Amazon a few years back (for less than $20). They slip easily over my brushed-out & styled set, stay on well and are comfy while I sleep. They also have held up really well, despite the low price and frequent laundering. 😘
I love what you do with your hair. It's beautiful. Just a suggestion, please don't open your pins on your teeth. Years ago when I was a young teen I did this and one of my front teeth turned dark and had to be pulled and a bridge was added at my young age. You are a lovely lady.
Oh I absolutely love how it turned out. I’m so glad you tried this out. And thanks so much for the shout out 🥰
hairnet style is also one of my favorite vintage hairstyles even for summer that i cant style my hair down cause of heat

I love the idea of using hairnets instead of a snood! Much more subtle.
Why do i always forget about hairnets and suffer with flattened hair. Thanks for the reminder.
Never worn a hairnet. With our very unpredictable weather here in the uk it’s definitely something to try.

They’re remarkably strong. Try it!

I would remove it but maybe use a netted scarf over the top to preserve the curls

Haha. I will always do it. I like to live dangerously.
I'm looking for your Rockin the hairnet tutorial
It would be in the early days of my Lisa Freemont Street Channel
That would be hard for me to find
