Triple what? 32 or 27”?

I have the formula v2.5x and the thumb encoders are god awful, plus you will accidentally hit them multiple times in a race so it will distract you, just on that alone I would recommend not getting this wheel and just going with the McLaren GT3 wheel.

Triples driving your own car, VR is driving a fake car. VR looks good but after a while the novelty wears off because none of the controls match your own controls and racing you’re looking straight ahead, you’re not moving your head sightseeing like in flight. For flight and FPS VR is the way to go, for racing if you have expensive gear and triples that’s the way to go. I have a Pimax crystal and 4090 and still prefer triple for racing

What qr2 version you using?

Goated wheelbase for sure. Also the cs dd variant with the f1 wheel is only 899 now. Dd+ bundle didnt come down but still. Either choice js great. Dd+ for 850 or dd and the f1 wheel for 899.

what seat brackets did you end up using? Does the TR160S come with the sliders?

I was really looking to pick up the DD+ for cheaper than 1000 dollars, not sure if I'm ready to drop that much. Upgrading from the old CSL elite 6nm wheelbase

Buy once, cry once....... save wait and patience is hard to come by - but worth it. My blue/red TR 160S will be delivered in 2 days, the 55" curved ARK 2(Best Buy sale) is sitting in my living room and the Logitech Pro wheel/pedals(on sale) and PS5 Pro are just waiting for final assembly. As I saved for years the tech improved, MoMo partnered with Logitec and their wheel went to a second gen, 3d printing parts became common - then many items went on sale last week - just in time for me to hit black Friday early. I can't wait to get my chassis, Sparco seat and everything else assembled after years of saving(nothing purchased on credit). Watching vids like this are just helping to keep me from going crazy before the chassis arrives. Thanks for the great video

The TC/ABS dials on the Mclaren GT3 wheel can outputs a specific button signal for each position, just need to set it to 'pulse mode' in the driver.

How’s the weight comparison. Is the hub really that much heavier?

Vr is better but is uncomfortable for a long period of time or if you wanna play every day.

I am using the McLaren GT3 V2 since three years now and still love it. Driving GT4 and GT3 in iRacing is a fanatstic feeling with this wheel. Save your money for 500$+ wheels and get better pedals, rig or base.

I bought this rig but it's aimed at my chest. The wheel I mean, it's not aimed up like how usually it's aimed up like how most people have it but idk what I should do differently? Any advice? And how tall are you if you don't mind me asking? I'm 5'7

Very well said. I went from monitor to vr. The immersion is not comparable but the draw backs you stated are there. Find myself trying to hit buttons and missing them with my headset, but man, that immersion is worth those little things.

Do you always race in ACC using VR? If yes then what's your pc specs and what's the app you use to connect to your pc. For the life of my i cannot drive in ACC in VR, it just looks terrible and the fps are not great even though i have a 4080, I've tried many sims like iRacing ac and ams2 and the VR in those sims are very good.

I have had the pico 4 for almost a year, and the thing is perfect, way more comfortable than the Quest 2

Almost all of my best lap times have been posted in VR. The sense of depth you get in VR helps tremendously with judging speed and distance.

I really wanna use my pico 4 but getting racing games to look good 5 meters ahead of you is neigh impossible

Are you running 27" or 32" monitors? I did search around your channel a bit but I didn't see the info.

My only problem with VR is the discomfort in the face and how I lose my surroundings. I thought it would make me nauseous before I tried it, but in sim racing it fortunately never did. And everything else is actually more practical than triples, which turned my room into a mess when I had them for my setup.

so you are aware that that CSL elite box you showed us is not one of the original high-performance "+" boxes 7Nm PlayStation certified not just compatible and it will have blue raised CSL elite stickers on the right hand side of the face,Fanatec as long been known for the way they manipulate products and names. The original boxes with the raised blue logos are the only original CSL elite dual built drive 7 N meter boxes that were PlayStation certified and will always work with every generation of PlayStation. The internal of this box were superior to the standard non "+" boxes. I bought three of these originals. I still have one in a box upstairs because I understand what fanatic does with their products. They don't get better overtime. They just figure out how to make them cheaper.

Probably because csl dd has linear output of torque while elite might not be linear but making the low output higher in cost weaker high output

I have the Q3 and triple 27" I find if I wanna lock in and do short style races on my motion platform the immersion is incomparable. But if I want a longer lap intense race and be able to pay attention to my real world (the wife) 😂 monitors are my go too. I find also it's much easier with my 4th screen to trail brake and notice the other drivers on the inside blind spots
