Where Are We?!
Canada
Приєднався 6 вер 2022
Hello, and welcome to our channel!
Now, a little about us. We are Brandon (Canadian) and Anja (German)- an International traveling couple.
Despite being new to this UA-cam thing, we have actually been traveling on and off for the past 8 years! We have lived in 8 countries together, and have recently reached the 50th of our 50 country goal together.
During this time, we've been asked, "why don't you guys start a UA-cam or travel blog?", several times by friends and family. We finally looked at each other and said, "why not?!".
If you share a love of food, culture and adventure, we would absolutely love you to subscribe and join us on this journey.

"We're budget travelers." *laughs in Washington native* Bad choice my friends. Bad choice. At least the food is good.
We had a free place to stay, so it made up for it! We wouldn't have been able to go to Seattle otherwise. 😂
@@wherearewe-yt In all seriousness, I'm very glad you could go. But yeah, the cost of living up here is stupid high.
Lee's in my opinion is very overrated. There are places that are much better like Cartems, Mochido and Mello
We will have to try some of those next time! 😋
Duffins is amazing. Where else can you get fried chicken, bubble tea, a chili cheese dog and a donut in one place?
Right? Honestly, it's the perfect late night spot.
Interesting but u should have highlighted inside the market more or got some shrimp cocktail
What are you taking abut
A lot of things. This is a 30 minute video. 🤔
Home made versions will probably be less sweet
We've never had any homemade UK desserts yet. One day!
'Dick' is an old word cake and the 'spotted' describes the fruit
Interesting! Thanks for letting us know.
Terrible cousins ,just junk
Come back again we will do some day drinking !
We love day drinking! Hahaha.
Gospođice jesteli Ruskinja. Posto imate Ruske crtr lica.

37:18 The only food you guys missed that I can think of right now, is Pegasus Pizza, which is on Alki Point in West Seattle, across Elliott Bay from the downtown area you visited. Oh but apparently it moved to 4520 California Ave SW in West Seattle.
36:55 It's not a restaurant but there's a traditional dessert made in Washington state calle "Applets and Cotlets" similar to turkish delight. Apparently the manufacturer went defunct in 2021 but somehow you can still get them at local grocery stores.
28:50 Rainier is the best beer around. It's the original Seattle beer. I don't drink beer often. But when I do. It's Rainier Beer.
21:40 Yeah skip the pie if you come to Seattle.
17:21 Teriyaki actually became popular in Seattle in the 1980's and sushi in the 1990's. There is a new Japanese chain in the Seattle area called "Sumo all you can eat sushi" which is great. It's only $30 per person as of the date of this comment and you order food by using your smart phone and the food is delivered to you by robots. Actual robots. The menu has many traditional Japanese favorites as well as some Americanized Japanese foods like sushi rolls.
13:30 Ivar's is known for it's "Acres of Clams" but you have to go to the main restaurant on the pier to get it. They also make delicious bacon-wrapped halibut and their crab cakes are pretty good too.
In Clearwater, FL is an excellent Polish pierogi joint called "PIEROGI GRILL & DELI". And they have an option to cook in boiling lard and after they drop them in that boiling lard, they almost double in size. And its actually delicious, one time i was trying to do the same in my house, but failed miserably, its gotta be the dough they use to make them grow.
I❤ the krampus, they all look,badassssss 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Prices in Warsaw are ridiculous. 3 bucks for one pączek ? Its madness, i pay $0.75 at a local Polish pastry shop in NYC, where they make maximum 100 of them each day - first come, first served and that's it.
You can put krokiety in barszcz. You are in Poland! You Can doit everything!! this is not Italia :P
Polish restaurants don't serve tap water because the owners say it would lower their sales. It's ridiculous. After all, nobody goes to a restaurant primarily to drink water.
Ta very much. Home city summery looks . Good jobbing. 👍😉👏
Tichyliebe❤
Comparing, German to Polish food all the time is bit annoying, it is different. Please focus on the experience, do not compare all the time. Beside I enjoyed your both video, thank you!
I'm unfortunately German, and I therefore grew up eating mostly German food so that's naturally my experience when eating foreign foods. That can't be changed. Thanks for watching, though! 😊
Go to SERBIA
We have a whole Serbia series already!
Need to Hit Kensignton some good Mexican resteraunts, Inglewood Mission Atlas Pizza 17th Ave Se and Sw. Peters drive inn, Lloyds Jamaican.
Thanks for the suggestions! It will be awhile before we're back, but we do intend on returning some time. We didn't get to see nearly as much as we wanted to the first time around.
COWTOWN is canadia's hot gem. way better than TO with their problems and way better than hongcouver
I'm glad you liked the city, i live here for 16 years and I think I always will.
It's a great city! We could easily see ourselves living there.
Hello im British and i agree if you haven't tried weatherspoon then you should try it for the first time it's very good value for money
We've been back twice since! Great for cheap breakfast and a cheap drink.
Just watched ur videos about slovenia, going next month! Especially want to try the green beer!
@@anthonyeos23 That restaurant is worth a try, for sure! Everything was delicious. Even the horseradish on pizza. 😆 Enjoy!
Most people don't know this but I tend to avoid GREGGS as the owner Colin gregg is now serving a 13 an half year sentence for child molestation in 2017 and is still receiving all the revenue from all his branches!
@@realtalk9195 Gross! Didn't know that. I just knew people hated him. 🤢

@@chefjen68 You're welcome! I imagine you're not the only one planning a move now. It's a beautiful city. I'm sure you'll love it! If it wasn't for our apartment, we would have stayed there a lot longer than we did.
Love that you guys came to visit our city! If you need suggestions or an afternoon tour, hit me up next time you're around :)
Sounds good! Though it'll likely be a while before we're back in Calgary. We're currently on our way towards SE Asia. 😁
Good vid but it should be named eating non stop in Edmonton
That's pretty much what we always do. 😂 Our channel is very much food focused because those are the parts most people want to see. It's also the reason we typically always have food in thumbnails. Food, compared to a lot of museums and attractions, has a far better retention. Thanks for watching! 🍻
My Auntie was from Vienna, a very beautiful country. European Christmas markets are the best. Far superior to anything America could offer
Very true! Growing up in Canada, our "Christmas Markets" were nothing compared to what most of Europe has. Anja was lucky to grow up with German Christmas Markets. The ones in Germany and Austria are at the top, for sure!
Out of every where to go for breakfast they go to blinkers 🤣🤣🤣🤣
And it was delicious! And cheap!
Please come next time to Lublin, eastern side of Poland, and try "cebularz". And many more estern dishes, this kitchen was diffrent from other polish kitchens.
That sounds great! Rzeszów is the furthest East we've been, and it was only a quick stopover during a train journey to Ukraine. We would love to visit more of the east in the future.
There is also the Christmas Museum in Szentendre. It's worth a visit.
Dear Brandon and Anja! As Hungarians, it was very interesting to see what you think about Hungarian food. You are very well informed and brave to try everything. Well, some Hungarian people have never eaten cock testicle stew or tripe stew in their life. Me neither. There is a food group that is a completely Hungarian specialty, but it was completely omitted. These are the " főzelékek": Condensed vegetable food. There is no proper English word for it.There are "főzelék" bar where almost only these are sold with some kind of meat topping. It's worth tasting! It can be made from all kinds of vegetables. :-) Here's what they look like: www.google.com/search?sca_esv=7f62e3115b109870&sxsrf=ADLYWIKfe2HhBn7oS-tYY4cPBgmP-vB_YQ:1732057377919&q=f%C5%91zel%C3%A9kek&udm=2&fbs=AEQNm0CRjlOtE433-CvsDZEksQ8zUchZAntv9lLo-e4ZT42ralptAFul-D5diXoQM33k0zskBA1wOn85IWaKc3TE_p9MBvZVAwcGZw0T1JZADHUUdvHwEmN-ViMMgBMqqpksB1ZEexhk72NO8zRIkGaKr91gWtgVnAQXwmY-3fZKsQrKH_ehQtD7zViN2w86HgMiP_eDljH5&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=2ahUKEwii7PbFwOmJAxU0FBAIHYaENloQtKgLegQIDxAB&biw=1366&bih=679&dpr=1
1. Do not mix hot and cold rakia in the same day 2. Do not drink fast 3. Try to find "domaća" rakia any type ask someone for "20 grades" 👌 And for good you try only 1% what Serbia have Cheers
A buddy of mine that lives in the UK basically described to me that Wetherspoons is the Denny's of the UK. It's not somewhere you go but somewhere you end up. Like you're out drinking with the boys and while walking home you all see one and figure "why not?".
That seems like a pretty accurate description. Hahaha. It's a great place for cheap drinks and late night eats. Or early morning hangover breakfast! 😂
Try beef Tatar with vodka ( or without ) :)
It was on our list of things we wanted to try, but we missed out this time. Next visit, for sure!
I haven't tried Kam Wai, but there are killer baozi (steamed buns) at Sunfresh Bakery in Chinatown. As good as what you'd find in Taiwan or Mainland China. And Richmond is a goldmine for.....well, everything Chinese food-related.
We would love to return and make a video completely in Richmond next time. I had so many places marked there, but we had such a small amount of time! Next trip, for sure. We are headed back to Asia in January, so there will be plenty of delicious baozi to come. 😋
Dont take it as criticism because you are trying really good traditional dishes that people recommend for very good reason but from hundreds of videos i watched on YT of people trying Polish food i never once seen anyone try typical grochowka wojskowa. Next time please look for a place outside of city that has military style trailer kitchen and does grochowka. Its absolutely phenomenal and you will be first on YT to try it
Where were you when I made my reddit post! Hahaha. I was actually trying to ask locals what they would like to see in a video-- but more specifically, favorite dishes that are shown less often. That would have been great to try! We love to show dishes that most others don't. We will have to try that in a future video when we return. I actually straight up just want to make a Polish soup video because there are so many good ones. 🍲
@wherearewe-yt ye im always late to the party 🤣
Yummy... looks delicious!
Everything was so good!
I reseearched this : "Bratäpfel, in Germany, are apples filled with cinnamon, nuts, raisins, and German marzipan. A crumble is like a streusel, it sometimes contains oats or nuts where a crumb topping typically does not."
I definitely prefer apple crumble! Anja prefers the bratäpfel.
@wherearewe-yt I love crumble aka streusel, made my own too, but never tried Bratäpfel yet. Might give it a go for christmas 🎄
Wroclaw is absolutely beautiful and should not be missed when you come to Poland! What is your favourite Polish city? Thanks for watching as always! Stay tuned for our next video where we'll be taste testing a million polish snacks and sweets! Spoiler alert: Polish snacks are amazing! 😊 - Brandon & Anja
Try SERBIAN FOOD
It is a "vegetarian lard" made from beans. It is an appetizer they serve everybody and you can buy a small set of different flavors to eat while you wait.
I knew it! Haha. This was the first time we had ever been given this as an appetizer. It was really good! And free! 😁
