I had gauchos, patchwork jeans, a (girl's) blue satin baseball jacket, wedge sandals, dittos, etc. I don't care for seeing some of current pictures of vintage fashion, mixed in these videos though, women never had tattoos on their arms in the 70s. I'm sure there are enough photos and clips available from the era.

Hated the GACHOS and the knickerbockers and my mom thought they were great. I destroyed many pair by sitting on the cement steps and rubbing my bum back and forth to wear the material. I loved the clogs and hip huggers and neon in the early 80’s. Let me tell you the high school halls were really loud between periods because of all the clogs. I made a Jean skirt out of a pair of my elephant leg jeans. 😂

Clogs were a lot of fun. In summer, I wouldn't go out without them..😃..I used love the sound they made when walking on cobblestones on the streets of Europe where I grew up.

Loved! I don't remember knickerbockers, but I was born in 1964, so I may have been too young if they were popular in the early decade. I NEVER stopped wearing clogs, although as I've aged, the heels and souls have gotten lower to the ground. Gravity and all that. Man, happy memories!

I miss some of these things. Everything was quality made as well. So well some things still around. if remade in these times they'd be so cheaply made and over priced like everything else. haha they are selling a sweat suit and calling it good for Angxiety due to the material. I got one lol it's actually the material that would have been used back in the day. no one knows better anymore. I just want a time machine and just go back in general.

Maybe Guys wont remember what they were called, but they remember seeing us Girls wearing our "GUNNE SAX" Dresses! We wore them to Proms, Dances, special events, etc. They were probably inspired by the 70's tv show; "Little House On The Prairie." Even for the 70s they were pricey($100-$200 a piece), They sere made of Cotton, Satin Bows, & some lace overlay. They were gorgeous!

Patchwork print fabrics were popular too. Printed patterned polyester shirts and pullover shirts with partial zippers were common. I didn't like scratchy polyester. Satin hot pants sure didn't have any stretch to them. Kids now probably wouldn't be allowed to wear them to school like we did, LOL.

Betsy Johnson hot pants were all the fad, my Aunt had a bunch of Betsy's hot pants she would wear them in the summer time, she looked like Serena from Bewitched just stylish and beautiful, RIP Aunt Joan 🙏🏼🌹🕊️❤

You forgot knee length plaid wool skirts with long boots. I wore that while layering several shirts. First a cowl necked shirt with a body suit over it. Then add a light jacket and I was good to go. Of course, everything had to be earthy colors.

Mood rings!! Had one back then, and I bought some for the kids when they came back! Had stick pins too!

Dittos...best pair of pants i ever owned. Had 5 pairs in my favorite colors. A must for your nite out in the 70s.

I am horrified to see the denim/leather patch short jean jacket. Only because I STILL OWN THAT JACKET. It’s been in my wardrobe for 50 some odd years old now. My kids would wear it on throwback days at their school. The horrifying part is my kids are now turning 40ish. Yikes that makes me and that jacket like 100 yrs old 😂😂😂😊😊❤❤❤

I had those Dr. Scholl’s wooden sandals. I can’t believe that I could keep them on my feet. Now that I am 76, very few shoes feel that great to wear.😊

Bye bye gauchos and bell bottoms. Wide leg pants came in for awhile when my kids were growing up in the 90s, but they weren't really bell bottoms.

Hot pants: Too many fat people to bring them back. In the 70s, most people weren't obese like they are now.

dr. Scholls sandals are back at $120 a pair. Ridiculous and they’re also painful.

Some of these I remember & wore. Huraches, yo-yo shoes, Charlie Brown shoes. Blue Jean bags, hip hugger jeans…miss those days…& being a size 3!😂

Too young for hot pants but my sister had a nice pair. I wanted them. When i got big enough to wear the, they didn’t fit. Wish i had my wine colored clogs. They were the best. Wedges…. I am late 70’s early 80’s girl. Had knock off dr scholls. Loved them.

My first job as a 16 year old was at an all girl car wash where we were required to wear hot pants!
