out of all the unrelease boingo songs, i think this specific version might be one of the best honestly. the original version is already fantastic, but theres something so addicting and unique about this specific take of it. its got that upbeat yet slightly threatening vibe that i feel is so essential to oingo, not to mention already standing out in their library for having the slower tempo. it also has those distinct key shifts ob loved to play around with. its insane to me how danny didnt release this one. you can hear the people in the crowd going ballistic for it. you can even somehow sense a bit of danny’s theatrical taste in here, its a very grandiose arrangement. as a side note but still something worth mentioning, i think this recording might be in a slightly lower pitch than what it actually sounded like? the two other recordings from this forum event, nothing to fear and why’d we come, are both in slightly lower pitches than their final version. which is strange considering how other pre-ntf live recordings from this time period are all in their correct pitch, such as insects and private life. i pitched up the nothing to fear recording from this event to match its final, and pitched this one up the same amount. it somehow sounds even better, if you ask me. just something i thought was worth mentioning, i know this channel is kinda dead lol.
