The bronze thing could be like a crucible for melting lead or a lead mould and more likely bronze age in my opinion think you got a realy good field to detect glhh

@Daftdetectorist no just 50% but at least there not toasty, found my first silver Roman at the start of the year, just need to find a bronze axe head now

Well done on the axe head mate!.. I dug one exactly like that and only just had it back from the flo after having had it 3 years n two months! ( one flo covering two counties) .. so your talking 1800 -1500 bc or 3,500 - 3,800 years old! at least!.. I'm pleased for you :)

Great find gerry and do you know what's crazy about it? TT will only give you £120 for it , been there with a flat axe . But it's a buzz finding it and I guess that's what's it all about .

Fantastic axe head. Learn from your other declared axe head. 4 years? There’s absolutely no need to declare this axe head other than to add to history in the area it was found. It is yours and the land owners with absolutely no obligation to declare it whatsoever because of the following….. a single find and contains no precious metal. 😁👍

Well done on the axe head congratulations you dhould go back and scour that area for more bronze age stuff could be a hoard or burial you never know but 2 item close by i do it inch by inch good luck get out there 👍
@richardalmond2328 Totally agree buddy. They were about 50 yards apart. The toggle I found could well be bronze also and was in the same field!
