I was 7 when this happened, living safely in NZ. I remember not fully understanding what happened just knowing something really bad happened in the states. My dad had a news paper with a full page picture of the towers burning. I remember kids at school who had families in the states had parents show up and take them out of school,a lot of them left the country to go be with family.

There is no way you're Gen z and haven't seen 9/11 footage before. In school they would force us to watch 9/11 documentaries almost every year starting in 3rd grade

Never forgot it was George Bush that did this. This was used to take most of our rights away. With trump being shot, that was shooting to be to take away every right and dona military lockdown.

The terror was indescribable. I worked in a medical clinic 30 minutes away from where I lived. My kids were in our hometown, while I was stuck working at the clinic. We didn't cancel the day. We kept working. I didn't know what was going on with my kids. I live in Kansas. That day affected every person in the nation.

I was a senior in high school. I will never forget the feeling when the 2nd plane hit. That sudden switch in our collective minds from "tragic accident" to " under attack". That will never leave me.

I am from Germany and was 11 years old when it happened and I still remember the day exactly quite well. I had been in the cinema with my school class (I still remember what movie it was) and when I got out and my mom picked me up, I was so thrilled by the movie and wanted to talk about it, but my mother shut me down the moment I entered the car and said to listen to the radio. When we arrived home, my mother hurried to turn on the TV and told us to watch. At first I hadn't understand what happened and why all of the sudden my mom was acting like that until I saw what had happend. We were all shocked. And just by watching those moments again, I can't stop crying. It is horribel what humans are capable of and what damage just a small number can create. That's why it is so important to watch out for each other and stand in unity. The day after, there was no other topic and no thinking of continuing the classes as if nothing had happened.

I'm not sure I can watch this again. It's hard to describe the shock and horror. I was lounging in bed when someone was suddenly pounding on my front door. I hurry upstairs to see my sister there in shock. "A plane just flew into the World Trade Center." I couldn't believe my ears. We were glued to the tv and yet life still went on in a way as we had to go to work. Information came out slowly, no real facts, a lot of guessing, with all the stations trying to keep reporting with nothing to share. I didn't see most of live but what I saw was devastating. It's been 23 years and I still get emotional thinking about it.

2 events that are etched in my brain forever are The day JFK was shot, and 9/11

I remember that day I was in high school..😢 we were all pulled into the cafeteria. I remember teachers pulling students away telling them something, and they the students breaking down crying. Later I found out that a family member had passed away.

I was in middle school in the 7th grade when the planes hit. They stopped all teaching and turned on the T.V. We all saw it happen live when the second plane hit. My teacher was in sheer panic because her brothers worked at the Pentagon. I remember her immediately going to the phone next to our class room door on the wall and just start calling manically. No one could get through. Phone lines were flooded. We all, children and adults, watched and cried.

I'm Australian. I was playing online bingo at around 11pm Australian time when the chat blew up about what was happening. I ran to switch on my TV. After a few minutes of watching, I went and woke up my husband, "You need to come and see this." I told him. We both sat and watched as the second building was hit, and all through the night we watched, both of us crying for the terrible loss of life. I visited NY in 2019 and the monument built there for the victims of this tragedy, still hard to believe how and why it happened.

Sorry for not adding Nigeria. I actually lived in Nigeria as a child and still know people there and have a soft spot for Nigeria. Too many countries to choose from is my only excuse.

On this day when the video showed the first plane hit one of the towers, I knew we were under attack. Problem is a lot of info was left out . First people jumping from the towers to their deaths. The people evacuated by boats. Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania. The people on that flight found out they were heading to Washington DC. The passengers decided to fight back. They tried to break into the cockpit. The terrorists rather than be stopped pointed the plane to the ground and crashed in Pennsylvania. Also, what was not mentioned was two US Airforce jets were launched to take out flight 93 by crashing into hit. Flight 93 crashed before the Airforce planes were in visual contact. The fact that so many things occurred that day. Including the Death of Father Mychal Judge the priest of the Fire Dept. He was killed while giving last rites to a Firefighter at ground zero. Firefighters sat his body in a chair and carried him to a church and laid his body on the altar.

My best friend of 20+ years lived in NYC when it happened. I was in California. For days I tried to call her but all communication was out. I was just in long-term shock. I held it together until I finally heard her voice. Then ALL the emotions came pouring out; the relief that she was safe, the trauma of watching everything happen in real time, the gut-wrenching sorrow for all who were killed, the realization that the safety and freedom I had felt in this country was now under attack... I have never regained that sense of safety or freedom. The mindset of everyone who witnessed 9/11 has been forever changed.

The reactions of this young lady are similar to the reactions of we "Oldies" when we heard and saw these two consummate artists of comedy way back in the 1950s. Genuine amusement coming from just a play on words. I am so ,pleased that maybe now more of the younger generation will get to see and enjoy what we laughed at when we were young.

I remember that day clearly... I was feeling crappy and called in to work saying I'd be maybe an hour late... Was just about finished getting dressed (after coffee & a late shower) with the news when they broke in with the first plane hitting, I watched a few more minutes and was just about to leave when the 2nd hit, immediately called my coworker and told her to turn on the TV in the break room. (She almost didn't believe me). By the time I got I to the office literally everyone was in our break room or in the cafeteria watching the big TV there. You're talking a building with 800+ employees, and I'd say little got done for a few hours.

what it didn't show, was the videos of people jumping to avoid burning to death. There were videos of firefighters crying in the lobby as they heard bodies hit the ground and awnings. Absolutely horrific day.

I remember that day. I was only 11 but they turned the news on in my advisory class and learned about what happened. I was in 6th grade. What a devastating day.... 9-11 never forget. To the thousands of people who lost loved ones, im so sorry for any people affected by that horrible terrible day

I was in Midtown Manhattan at work that day. I have tears streaming down my face even though I've seen these clips many times over the years. It's just as heartbreaking as if it happened today.

We watched for 3 hours and I was shaking for the rest of the day❗️

My dad called me after the 1st tower was struck. He told me to turn on a TV. I started watching, then the 2nd plane flew into the 2nd tower. I could not pull myself away from watching all day long. My husband was working out of town & he didn't know that these attacks had taken place until he got home. We still know where we were and what we were doing when that evil event happened on our shores. We are still reminded to pray for those families affected by this day's events. I still say and pray "GOD Bless The USA" and "USA, Bless GOD".

To think our government could of played a part of this sickens me to my soul and I pray it not be true but the depth of evil in this world never ceases to shock my to my being. Forgive us Jesus.

I will never forget the woman who jumped to her death holding down her skirt for modesty. All those people, I can cry now. It's like God removed his protection from the United States and it hasn't been the same since. We need to turn back to God before worse comes to this country.
