BLACK FRIDAY special! Parkside PWSA 20-Li D4 all inclusive angle grinder set, is it worth it?
I got the new grinder kit from Parkside. Battery, grinder and charger at €60. I usually use these green grinders for small jobs and at that price I thought it is best to get another. As them failing in my hands is just a matter of time these days.
I like the analogue controls which unfortunately Parkside Performance models no longer have. As this is a kit that will be a BLACK FRIDAY special in many Lidl stores across Europe I thought it best to make a video. So you can judge for yourselves if it is worth the investment. In the video I compare this against my beloved brushless D4 model from Parkside.

Is the Black & Decker ‘Reviva’ Drill Really Eco-Friendly? Here’s Why It’s a Scam!
Переглядів 5 тис.День тому
At its price point, it feels vastly overpriced for what it offers. To be honest, I can't help but think the "recycled" aspect is more of a marketing ploy to justify the high cost and appeal to eco-conscious consumers, rather than a genuine effort to create a sustainable, high-quality tool. If you're considering this drill, it's probably because you need something to assemble flat-pack furniture...

This afternoon I received my new screwdriver. Model D3. Made by OWIM. Before I finished screwing in the first test screw it died. Inside the case there are rattling parts or loose screws. I miss the quality of Grizzly and Kompernass.

I buy the B3 version and I'm asking if I have to buy the 4ah or 8ah smart battery ?
Both work but the 8Ah I find a bit too heavy for this tool. The 4Ah is fine for me. I have both 4Ah and 8ah batteries and I always go for the 4Ah when it is charged and ready to go. I reaxh for the 8Ah only when the 4Ah ones are not in the picture.
That said you will get a lot more runtime and a bit more power out of the 8Ah.
@@BrokeLifeEU I take note, thanks you !
@charlou9671 You are welcome! 😉
Our 300€+ Makita died at work i was thinking about picking this up but when i saw how hard it vibrates in your hands there is no way i could do that for few hours 😅. I'm stuck with 18v version that sucks while they fix my baby 😆.
Do a c3 vs b3 at 230 nm tighten wheel nut. Se if the c3 can go beyond the b3's max torque setting ;)
I will get to do something like that soon, but I will also include the new D4 😉
Great videos - the B3 just came on sale online (eu) - and you saved me from getting the C3 !!! Keep up the good work
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy the B3! I know I love mine!
love the modification!! However I don't think I am comfortable doing this. Cann you recommend a 1/4" Bit adapter for the 1/2" Wrench for a less permanent and fast option?
The adaptors for impact drivers from 1/4“ to 1/2“ are the ones that break. As for an adaptor for an impact wrench 1/2“ in to a 1/4“ I have never had any issues with any of them so whichever one you get I think you will be fine. Ideally one from Milwaukee, DeWalt or Makita.
I want to get laser weldinh machine but they are extremely expensive
They are indeed. What sort of jobs would you want a laser welder for if you don't mind me asking?
@@BrokeLifeEU For cylinders and metal jobs. But mainly on crankshafts on agricultural machines, They are solid steel. And due to angle and rpm of the engine they can twist like a paper ( which is they are solid tri-angle STEEL) it becomes nearly impossible to remove after that. We cutting it and welding it. But it takes a lots of time. And sometimes owner of the machines forgets to grease the joints of the cranshaft so metal becomes one with the hole. Heating , removing the rust etc...
I just bought a normal 20v driver at a discount in Lidl for 29.99e and It was the first power tool I ever bought, including the battery, charger and a set of bits and drill bits, Im a Milwaukee "fanboy" but for 30 euros there isnt anything better on the market for that price tag! In my opinion they are far from bad tools but they are not close to being best, they are for home owners who needs a power tool here and there, home owners wont trow 300e for a bare Milwaukee hammer drill (If you are not me)
My point exactly. No need to pay €300 for a Milwaukee if you use the tool for small projects once in a blue moon. On top of that the Parkside Performance range is really not bad at all. They have made some mistakes and the quality is sometimes questionable, however at that price you can‘t expect to have it all. I use my Parkside stuff often about once or twice a week I need to get something done and I am pleased with the performance. I started this channel, because I wanted to show this sort of stuff from the point of a strict DIY-er. I don‘t use any of these tools in my work but for my personal needs they are good enough.
If you watch this at 2x speed the background music is slightly less irritating
Sorry about that 🫣
Parkside performance, I never saw them in UK.
Not really a UK thing it seems, although quite popular in other countries. Should be available in the UK too as for they price they are really decent!
Please compare it with the 12V
I have already returned the drill from this video to its owner but I will see if I can arrange something! 😉
I bought B3 and it works fine :D for now x)
B3 is great! How long have you had it?
In Italy the priice with battery 4ah and charger is 40 euro. I think doesnt matter how is grinder. It is a good deal
Yes, at that price it looks like you pay for a battery & charger and get a free grinder 😅
great video, i am looking for green one with battery and charger.. for this price it worth it for hobby, in my opinion :)
Thank you! I think so as well, as long as you don‘t ask too much of it for too long. However the lack of grease in these bothers me…
Please test the Gisam 2800nm
I am working on making that video 😉
I have a question What blades are compatible with Parkside multi tools or do they only take Parkside branded ones
It is the basic type of blade, nothing specific to Parkside. All proprietary blades fit.
While we're on wishes from Parkside, I would like to see some Performance 12V and 20V bandsaws, with high quality and well thought out table base accessories. The 12V version should be at least 60-65mm capable of cutting, like the Milwaukee 12V Fuel bandsaw. Oh, and some band accessories of good quality metal too, of multiple TheadsPerInch (or whatever metric equivalent there is). Pretty please, Parkside.
Can‘t put well thought out and Parkside in the same sentance I am afraid 🫣 I bet you they find a place to stick membrane buttons on.
@BrokeLifeEU many of their products are well thought out, though maybe not originally by them, but with well executed designs. I suppose those designs had to undergo several generations of iterative improvements though, so there's that to suffer.
You do make a good point there!
Great video - and in Denmark I got it at 33€ - Black something At that price it's a WIN!
€33 is that with a battery and charger 😲
Yep a 4 amp battery and a 4,5 amp charger
No matter how bad the grinder is at €33 can‘t pass that offer up!
Interesting to see these head-to-head! Any recommendations for grease? I wonder if I could simply add in some ball bearing grease to my green grinder, or if I would have to wash out the head and not mix two different greases?
Give me a couple of days and I will let you know! That is my plan, some high temerature bering grease and we‘ll see what happens. But the grease that Parkside put in there is just a joke, no more than 5ml at best… I will remove all the original Parkside grease beforehand. It might be alright, but I just don‘t like mixing grease, oil, antifreeze etc. I either add the same or just replace it altogether.
@@BrokeLifeEU sound advice thanks!
@@Failsafeman100 It is not much but I will let you know how it goes after I fill mine up with some grease.
The Performance version is not only good for doing heavier tasks, but will also outlive the cheaper versions from what I'm seeing. Just wtf is that type of corner-cutting with the grease lmao. I'm also down to see a Performance version with the standard buttons instead of the membrane ones. God forbid those membrane buttons fail while you're using the tool, there's so many things that could go wrong....otherwise if the price difference is ~40-50 euros at most between these two tools then I'd definitely go for the Performance. Quality over quantity!
The Performance stuff with Parkside has an Achilles heel though, the control boards for the brushless motors fail. That said that does not happen often, however I get the feeling it happens more often with the newer ones. A cordless angle grinder is a tricky tool to get right and Parkside are trying their best to get it wrong in all possible sorts of ways. But I just got this combo kit, because I need something for a bit of work with a flap disc so I hope it lasts, but even if not at the Black Friday price it is essentially a free grinder for the price of a battery and charger so that's nice. But I hope that one of these days they release a Performance angle grinder with normal buttons...
Excellent content! For me I think the green is enough for small work with good discs. For big jobs I use the cord. But like you I don't want the Performance I also hate the membranes.
Thank you! Yes, the membrane stuff is making me question my sanity!
Sooo, I just checked the prices for dem flexes and found that the 40V big booyy model is being sold for 60€ in Germany. Thing is... People don't like the push button control because apparently they used a crappy switch inside that's not protected against dust and the thing stops working after a few minutes of usage. "Stops working", can also mean that it isn't turning off.
They could have just used a better switch 🤔 but the membrane stuff is also eqsier and cheaper to manufacture I think. Or at least make the membrane buttons larger. I don‘t have cocktail sticks for fingers! The big chunky 230mm boy has a nice type of switch on it. I don‘t need one but I am considering it at €60 😁 and with the 12Ah batteries that I will need to test on something…
Obligatory comment. :) I like how you let the sparks fly into the camera 😂 Also: Oh noooo! No fancy foil buttons! How am I gonna use this? I love my performance flathead angle grinder, but the buttons really grind my gears. It's so annoying and unsafe - and it's stupid that you have to explain the use to anyone who wants to borrow your machine for a minute.
Thank you! Might not sound like much but apparently the obligatory comment pleases the algorithm 😁 the sparks cost me my case and protector but it was a sacrifice I was willing to make at the time. 😁 but at least next time there is a chance they won‘t ask to borrow it! Parkside, helping you not put your tools in the hands of others! Parkside, a brand that cares! 😁
I bought that thing. The charger is an absolute shit, but the tool is fine. I use it mostly for changing the wheels summer/winter. It needs some time for undoing the bolts tightened by tire shops, but after several seconds of hammering it succeds. Maybe swapping the battery for a genuine one would give it some more juice. For roughly 30-40 bucks, I aint gonna complain.
The charger is complete garbage, the battery is of low quality however they both can get the job done. The body itself though is surprising and with a decent battery there are some performance gains there to be had. I bought just the bare tool last night for like €10 which I could not believe 😂
La D4 performance! ❤
The best 💯
Another great video 📹
Thank you so much! You are too kind! 😌
Don't buy China garbage
To be completely fair, many name brands also produce their tools there.
@BrokeLifeEU Yes, but that's the main difference between a European company or a Chinese one. iPhones are also made in China, but Xiaomi is Xiaomi.
@@y_ra83 Fair! Can‘t argue with that!
if you use a disk from the known brands i think even the green one cuts better and much faster. I once got parkside disks and it took me 3 disks and 20 min to make 6 cuts. the same cuts with bosch disk 5 minutes and no wear to the disk.
Can confirm that Parkside cutting discs are some of the worst I have ever used. I love the Bosch ones, unfortunately the only two identical ones I had were these Total ones. As for the grinding discs Parkside ones are fine for that.
I used the green with dewalt ceramic 1,1 mm disc, absolute pleasure for cutting angle iron and disc wear is very low. If pressing it will stop anyway but the disc make a lot of difference.

I had a very early version of the green version that was faulty in 20 minutes. I bought raider pro, modified in 20 min to fit the Parkside battery. It was a win, there are 4 years of use of the raider, too bad they don't make them anymore.
I bought a green C3 with defective brushes, that was an easy fix. Used if for some time and at that point both the brushes and motor failed COMPLETELY! I got the F4. Failed in exactly the same way. I get the feeling this will be the same, although I will be a lot more careful third time around. I have to look at Raider, I have never had one of their tools, are they any good apart from the grinder you have?
