Philipp Fürhofer is a visual artist and stage designer. For the exhibition ‘ECCENTRIC. Aesthetics of Freedom’ exhibition, he designed the “Eccentric Design Lounge” together with Peter Buchberger. Translucent, ceiling-high voiles, printed with associative image collages, give rhythm to the central space of the exhibition. Objects by international designers are arranged in between. ‘The individual detail is quite normal, we know that, but the combination of the whole, that is the new and the unusual and the unheard of’ - for him, this is a central aspect of eccentric artworks and also of his own work.

Philipp Fürhofer ist bildender Künstler und Bühnenbildner. Für die Ausstellung "ECCENTRIC. Ästhetik der Freiheit" gestaltete er gemeinsam mit Peter Buchberger die "Eccentric Design Lounge" Durchscheinende, deckenhohe Voiles, bedruckt mit assoziativen Bildcollagen, rhythmisieren den zentralen Raum der Ausstellung.Dazwischen sind Objekte internationaler Designer arrangiert. "Das einzelne Detail ist ganz normal, das kennen wir, aber die Kombinatorik des Ganzen, das ist das Neue und das Ungewöhnliche und das Unerhörte" - das ist für ein zentraler Aspekt exzentrischer Kunstwerke und auch seiner eignen Arbeit.
