Disintegration is my favorite Cure album. Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me got me hooked on the Cure back in 1987. Also, "Plainsong" is on the Marie Antoinette (2006) soundtrack. Awesome movie with one of the best soundtracks (IMO).

I know she tried to experiment something different with her voice but it doesn’t do it this time for me. I can’t deal with this kind of « out of breath » voices… that creeps me. I own all her records but this one is not for me. I was delighted with her last « Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd ». ❤

'we both know that it's not fashionable to love me' -- opening line to 2015's 'honeymoon' album. big, big love. i remember in 2020 there were talks going around about new lana album being called 'white hot forever', and this title stuck with me for some reason, so poetic in its' wording. but then covid happened, 'question for the culture' controversy happened, wearing mesh mask in public and all that stuff. and when a year later 'chemtrails' the album came out, i thought that 'white hot forever' was scrapped due to all the scandals happening at that time. i read that some people could interpret that title as some white supremacy stuff (which is...?) so lana decided to play it safe and not release it. only years later i realized that white hot forever is, in fact, the original album title of 'chemtrails'. and 'tulsa jesus freak' being the original title track. just a beautiful observation about this album, which, i think, is one of the most under-appreciated in lana's catalogue. love this album. and love a lana freak. we should stay real close to jesus

eusexua the album is really close in it's sonic path to the works of bjork, the icelandic art-pop pioneer, specifically 'vespertine' and 'homogenic' by her. also 'ray of light' by madonna is heavily influenced by this electro-dream-pop sound that you dig. if you want more pop but still fresh and experimental club techno music, 'brat' by charli xcx will be a pleasure for you to dive into. fka's 2019 album MAGDALENE is an essential listening experience if you enjoyed eusexua. deep in religious mother-mary-esque symbolism with insane vocal production. not as pop as eusexua, but still incredible. north west is actually the one singing japanese parts in childlike things, although the 'japanese' in question is basically 'my name is north, im from tokyo' etc. this vocal refrain you were curious about at the end of 'room of fools' might be something traditional. my first thought when hearing this was tibet music, monk music, traditional asian or something among the lines. but still not sure exactly what this could be. it's really a common practice to put ethnic sounds and vocals into edm\dance\club genres, like traditional and artificial unite for the sake of good music. i love it.

(So far he's seen Halestorm, The Warning, I Prevail, Godsmack, Nothing More, Flogging Molly, and his first show was Spiritbox and Mastodon opening for Ghost. Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me is another great Cure album but it’s pretty different, goes more playful and pop but still quintessential Cure.

I really enjoyed vibing with you and going on this journey. This album and every single piece of music Sleep Token has touched means so much for me. But this album is just perfection. It's so hard to pick a favorite. I've seen them live 3 times now and they just keep on getting better. Vessel is so good live and the emotion you can just feel. But the others too. The concerts are being called rituals and it truly is a spiritual experience. Hope you will check out the other albums. Worship!

You definitely need to check out her whole discography. All of her music is as beautiful and heart breaking as Preachers Daughter in my opinion

This album literally changed my life, it was a before and after listening to it for the first time, without exaggerating anything, it changed my life, the power of music is that incredibly powerful... I love Disintegration, but Pornography is for me The Cure's Top 1, a unique album, dark and oppressive like few others, but brilliant... Love your reaction, it feels like my first time listening it, I was shocked, but crazy with joy, I was listening at the right moment to what I felt and needed to hear... After almost 16 years of (studio) silence, The Cure came with one of their best albums, I can't stop to hearing this album, is so great, touching, sincere, heartbreaking, in my personal Top 5... And this year comes another new album, and at the end of the year or at the beginning of 2026 another one... Luckily after so many years of waiting we are going to have 3 new albums from The Cure, and if they have this very high level, the wait was well worth it

A rare Lingua Ignota reaction, always an exquisite surprise! I appreciate whenever people react to works of art that veer far from the mainstream (though ofc while she isn't a household name, she is highly acclaimed within her circles of music). A small correction, Sinner Get Ready is the final release under her now retired Lingua Ignota project, but isn't the artist's latest as she now releases music under the moniker Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter, her latest album was SAVED! from 2023. (Lingua Ignota was a project for her through which she worked through her trauma, and ultimately wanted to move on from it rather than be perpetually tied to and relive it) But yes I'd definitely recommend Caligula by her, it's my favourite album from her, even more brutal and frightening than this one! But I honestly love almost everything she has released. As far as other artists, when it comes to dark, brutal music akin to this, Uboa's music also holds a special place in my heart (if anyone wants to check her out, I'd recommend her album The Origin of My Depression). Not a reaction request, just happy to share the gospel of some of my favourite artists! 🖤 That was a lot but all in all, great, enjoyable reaction, it's been a while since i listened to this album in full and it was enjoyable to listen to it alongside you experiencing it for the first time! :)

How beautiful it is when someone likes something that you do too, it's also good to have differences and debate about music, but when someone hears something that I love for the first time, it fills my heart...
