It doesn't matter if the mainstream media boycotts it or not, this is the album of the year without a doubt. Best comeback I've seen, given the circumstances. Love it, thanks for the review!
It’s a 10/10 for me. Lifelong fan. I was loving the singles and hoping the rest of the tracks lived up to them. So surprised my 3 favorites weren’t singles. My top song at the moment is No Funeral Without Applause. The Pale Emperor returns triumphant!
I think the story of the album is: (First: most of the time MM talks to himself one part is MM and the other is the original person not the "character") 1- In the first song talks a MM that already saw what will happend and just present it or resume it. 2- i think this is how MM born as a way to cope with life. And brian embrace this side of him but it comes with self destruccion and bad habits. "No funeral without applouse" would mean that the new him is happy to leave his old self behind and live a new life. 3- this would be the new MM showcasing his aversion of the world. Is very antichrist superstar. And look at yourself for someone to blame is very the man that you fear. 4- brian comes back and realize that the bad habits must be stopped. And try to do so. Also finds out that MM is not a mask that can take out and leave behind when the funcion ends but a part of him. 5- MM returns from the attempt of brian to leave him behind. And takes control. 6- more internal struggle betwen both sides of him but is more a calm conversation than a fight. Each part explain itself to the other. 7- both sides make peace and get along. And prepare for the enemies that could come from the outside. 8- the attack comes and the MM part takes control and fight. When he say "i wont accept your surrender" is talking to himslef i think. 9- the other part is just pragmatic and acept what is about to happend. his assasination. And thats is chapter 1 in the 2 chapter we will see what will happed. :D
Cool to see a reaction of someone who hasn't heard the three singles. And Marilyn Manson and Lana Del Rey are two of my favorite artists, so I dig that you raised that Lana flag behind you!
I cannot think of another artist from Mansons era who hit catastrophic, grease barrel rock bottom and then somehow totally reformed, conquered addiction and horrible health and then returned with a masterpiece after 30 years in the game It’s insane. As a fan since 1997, I haven’t been more proud of him than right now
This one grew on me with time. At first I didnt dig. But now I find that this is one of his absolute best. Also, I think that comparisons to previous albums are just so pedestrian. Like, "Its mechanical animals muxed with holy wood! Yay!". I think this is again a new reinterpretation of 70s/80s vintage art-rock, more leaning towards dark-wave, classy heavier guitars and stuff. Pretty unique blend. And songs are very different. Cool. P.s. great review!
Marilyn manson isnt from this world ❤ this album its a masterpiece. Love him.. he is the best! His melodys.. his voice.. his screams.. so darkness and deepness.. sacrifice of the mass is unreal mate..😅 really really he is god i guess 😅
Great reaction! You should check out albums by Depeche mode, black celebration, music for the masses, songs of faith and devotion, violater or memento Mori
@@SunManMoon I understand. We are Chaos as the album is called is a pretty unique album in his catalogue in both sound and approach....So of course it splits the sea a bit in the Manson "community".
'The Pale Emperor' was the peak of his musical genius. This new album is boring. Sounds like what you'd come up with if you've been depressed and on downers for years. Oh wait, thanks to that Amber Heard wannabe, that's probably exactly why this sounds so tired.
@PROGROCK-tr9hw I know what you mean. The effects didn't bug me though, it added to the freshness of the record. Your username however is making me want to listen to some Prog Rock 😂 I feel like there's tons of Prog Rock records I haven't listened to yet.
Rock album of 2024
I agree! Thanks for tuning in 🦾
The best album ive heard in years 😮

It's his best album since Holy Wood and ONE OF HIS BEST. What a comeback! Manson is utterly rejuvenated and at another career peak!
For me i still like The Pale Emperor , but yeah OAUG is really good!

Manson definitely pulled all aces with this record. Easily his strongest album in years. Hail to the King!

Addicted to the album! So happy he's back and in great shape 🖤
This album is SOOOOO damn good. Not only the best of three albums he's made with Tyler Bates, but it's right there among his very best early albums.

To test MMs pallet please listen to his last album before this one
I haven't listened to that one at all! Last one I listened to fully was The Pale Emperor which I really liked! Thanks for the recommendation 🦾
@@SunManMoon I understand. We are Chaos as the album is called is a pretty unique album in his catalogue in both sound and approach....So of course it splits the sea a bit in the Manson "community".
Every time I hear Death is Not a Costume, I also hear 3 Doors Down:

Not digging the auto tune effect on the vocals
Is it actually auto-tune? He's always used vocal effects.
@@trenty22-l3p It's vocal effect. Which he's always used
