Born and raised in Canada. Grew up believing anyone could do well here if you apply yourself as an average person. Household income was higher then the USA and for the most part 'middle class life' was pretty attainable. Now I've had some bumps along the way that has nothing to do with this to set me back, but today I look at the 'make a life market' and the opportunities are none. You either own a home and are doing well, or your a renter going backwards every year because of inflation and the brain drain. Entrepreneurs have left the country. We as a country have not done much since the 1980's. We stagnated in The Boomers success and never made a future for their children. Then in the past few years, we have rampant immigration to add to the fire. Canada, for a lack of words is a Dumpster Fire. DON'T MOVE HERE!
6:12 This is exactly what happened when I was in Canada. I don't think it is an unknown thing to the government. They know they need people to work in service jobs anyway, you slaving away your first years in Canada in Tim Hortons is exactly the outcome they want. Regardless, I moved back to my country because of the amount of the normalized toxicity in Canadian society. Coming back was the best decision I have ever made. I have met more toxic people in Canada in 7 years than I would have in a lifetime outside Canada. Those guys really need to figure out their generational trauma. Begin with teaching young adults about toxic personality traits and how to unlearn them. Honestly, the only normal people I met in Canada were immigrants. I am not sure if toxic personality traits are normalized or glorified to a point. If you are a patronizing, infantilizing, manipulative, selfish, dehumanizing ahole with a sprinkle of megalomania and a hero complex, Canadian society is the place for you...
Whatever you mentioned in this video is the consequences of your job & the cliche things that happen in all workplace. The difference is, that other 'workplace' doesn't pay them to have high salary & allow them to experience luxurious lifestyle in multiple countries. Flight attendant nowadays complain about their job consequences which they should have considered before applying for it. No surprise & no sympathy 😒👎
Anyone who has a slightly better option is leaving... low quality immigrants and fake asylum seekers, horrible immigration policies allowing scammers get their way, horrible liberal policies turned Canada into a tax heavy, low income, impossible-to-own-anything country just like the UK ans Australia. US, however, is way smarter than Canada by putting strict quotas for certain countries. It's too late for Canada. Damage is done.
Go back to Singapore. Don't bother with America, we are at maximum capacity
PEOPLE ARE NOT LEAVING CANADA 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Please do not leave us alone with Brampton!!!
If people are leaving, that's great. That will drive wages up.
Mass migration to Canada will make its way to the US, stay out!
Canadians and your mass migration stay away from the US!!!!
Where are the destination countries that those Canada immigrants moved to? You did not tell the whole story. The audience may think that those people are leaving Canada to US. 1. Among five eyes countries, Canada is the easiest country for people to migrate to. For example Australia skill migrant program does not accept the flight attendant as the required talent. There is very slim chance that the flight attendant can get the PR through the skill migrant program in Australia. Canada is now getting into the trouble similar to the sub-prime crisis in US 15 years ago: too many people who are not the qualified immigrants arrived to Canada in past 2 years. They are leaving because the minimal hourly wages cannot support their living in the big cities like Toronto and Vancouver. 2. High income tax ? In UK the top tax bucket is well over 40%. In Australia you need to pay 45% income tax plus 2% medical Levy surcharge 3. High cost of living? I think the cost of living in London of UK and Sydney of Australia are also exceptionally high. The cost of living affordability depends on the income of the migrants. Low income working class will feel the cost of living and housing pressure. But this applies to all countries, including SF of US, Toronto of Canada, Sydney of Australia, London of UK 4. Rise in crime: I do not understand this logic as the migrants left Canada to US - the city of LA, New York, Seattle and Chicago are far worse than in Canada 5. Limited Career opportunities: the only country that has better career opportunities is US. What are the main reasons for those who are not migrating to US? In summary, all the above points are not the main reasons. The main reason is the liberal government. Canada had taken a large number of wrong low end migrants in wrong time. When the economic downturn turn comes these are the most vulnerable group of people that should leave Canada. Many Canadian found that they resolved some of the problems by relocating from city to city ie moved from Vancouver to Calgary. Cheaper house price and cost of living, lower crime rate, etc
They are not leaving! No where to go.
As long as Trudeau is in power everyone will want to leave. No one wants to live in a dictatorship where your rights are taken away. You are taxed to death. You can't afford to eat, have shelter, utilities or transportation. People in North Korea are better of than Canadians.
Hahahaha jokes on u, canada has been going down since years
Will time to change your life style and become an American we are No more Canadian.
I have a parent and adult kids. I have not own a car for the last 30 years. I just take the subway, bus and occasionally the taxi. What would i need a car for? I dont want my family members to drive everywhere they go and add to the pollution
Lack of loyalty on your part, what makes someone desert their place of birth. You are a disgrace. This woman has moved for monetary reasons.Greed no sympathy for you.
Where are all the Canadians going? USA?
To Canada from Singapore? That's insane! What were you thinking?
that Canadian experience requirement is bullshit
To many people move there No longer Canada Hmmm
Those Singapore HDB flats aren't filled with crackheads and gang hideouts like they are in NYC. So they are perfectly fine for families.
Here is the TLDR answer: Are you a multi millionaire? yes? then it is. Do you want to lose all that wealth? then then the answer is also yes. If no, or any other answer, the answer is also no.
Let me save eveyone time... Third world immigration has turned Canada into New Jersey.
1) obtrusive government 2) annoying women 3) weather The end.
Hi Febby, ❤ May I ask, from step 1 to step 7, how long will be the whole duration? A few weeks or a month? Does any of the steps/interviews happen on the same day?
The US is having similar issues (I live in California). I have noticed that the housing crisis has become a worldwide problem sadly
100% all of these comments pretty much sum up what everyone in every country in the world is complaining about right now. The only ones not are poor countries... Canada still has great education, is relatively safe, and many other things Americans and others still dream about. Those things aren't free though...
You are the problem
I was born and raised in Canada and last august I left to move to the Czech Republic. If you’ve ever been there you’ll know it’s not the cheapest country and I live in the most expensive city. I still am able to afford to live off my not so high salary of an English teacher. I wouldn’t be able to afford living away from my parents in Canada, I’m not saying it’s been easy or cheap, I have 6 roommates and my rent is over 50% of my monthly salary. I had to take out a loan from my parents to afford all the visa fees and hidden costs of moving to another country. However if I had stayed in Canada I would have been earning less because I couldn’t find a job in my field. I am filled with rage about the governments decisions to mess up the country like they have. And yes we have an immigration problem but they are not the problem, it’s the government. My mother was an immigrant to Canada, and yes she’s doing okay right now but things have changed a lot since she immigrated and how Canada is now.
Hey Febby, How you doing? I love you and thank you for presenting this.
I wish this was true. Canada is now india.
Thank you for this evidence-based, data-driven presentation. Very helpful.
Really!!!! Almost 20 people I know are moving to Canada from Singapore......
I left Canada in 2023 for the same reasons plus the lack of decent health care. Best decision I ever made.
People from third world leave when really they should try and help their own country
Probably a good idea. Canada went crazy on the immigration without thinking about housing availability. Then Canada decided to increase taxes, among other ideas.
Hello I want to now about Singapore airlines hired Uzbekistan people?
I was definitely like you when I was new. I had my senior cabin crew with whom I used to fly a lot. She had some issues with me but never said what! So during my flight she used to scold me or try to take me down each time she could, during our briefing I was the center of her briefing where she used to ask all the questions to me. I cried 2 times because of her during my flights. Being new i never understood what was happening to me. At the end I told her she can talk with me if she has any problems. I shared this experience with my pilot friend and he told me what to do next it this shit happens again. In the end i changed my roster, because we have a fixed roster and just went to her opposite ones. Now I'm a cabin supervisor and whenever I hear such stories similar to my own experience without hesitation I tell them what to do and that it they need me I will go with them to the office. I try to keep a very friendly environment during my flights and respect the newest cabin crew members. It is not easy when you become a cabin crew and meeting such horrible people makes us feel just way worse. I hope one day all this to be gone for good and just enjoy our flights because in aviation unfortunately meeting people most of the time is, temporary meeting. ❤️
Yessssssss!! my EX is going to get married there, fuck Canada
Febby, would you recommend not to immigrate to canada from germany? because what you told us in your video scares me a little bit
This is terrible i'm from chile in a moment of My life i thinking to travel to Canadá but, there a Lot of videos on UA-cam that said Canadá is not the same country political and economic problems very scary thanks for the information
What now? Is it EVRYBODY or is it IMMIGRANTS? FUCK man! it can't be both! Be fucking clear in your speech.
Because smart people had realized they were actually living in India, and there are plenty better places to live in the world
Maybe when Piere Polievre becomes Prime Minister and makes Canada great again will be worthy again
Not only flight attendant , i was waiter before ,senior bullied me because i am junior .but how i overcome this situation , i being asertif , when they did something not right i warning them report to management. Then they stop bully me
could you make a video about how training was like ?
If people are leaving Canada why is the population increasing?
I thought Toronto was a shit hole. Visited NHL Hockey hall of fame. Which mostly Canada hall of fame. My car got broken into in the parking garage the hotel told me to park in. Almost got into a fight at a hockey game. Some dumbass would run out of his section to my section and yell in my face. Especially at the end of the game. Security cut in front of me for his safety. Never going back. That town hates Americans
Sympathizing, and to a larger extent putting your trust and faith into a government making wild promises about your future, that simultaneously has thrown its local population overboard, is peak ignorance.
Access to dope is shocking, fentanyl, opiates, marajuana. Canadian politicians are full of wind and honey.
I am very glad to live in even UK.
