Best Budget Camera Microphone Under $50!
The Movo VXR10 camera microphone is an ideal choice for an external microphone on a budget. Coming in at around $40 you get a lightweight microphone with shock mount, a wind filter, two TRS and TRRS cables, and a carrying case, making this a great deal!

Is This $1000 4K Camcorder Still Worth It In 2022/2023?
Переглядів 53 тис.2 роки тому
In this video, I talk about my Canon Vixia HF G50 and how I think it could be "cinematic" enough for your next film project or UA-cam video in 2022/2023! Camcorders aren't being talked about enough in the videography community because most people are using DSLR's or mirrorless cameras for their superior specs. I don't think specs are always important and this camera shows that you can still get...

it's good until you get the zoom broken like on other videos here of the HFG30. the mechanical buttons break and you have to buy a new part from canon just to fix it. however, depending on the model, it may or may not be available.
I'm trying to master a C100 mk2 at the moment and interesting as it is to use, the XA40 I used to own was MUCH easier to operate, easier to transport and theres not much to tell between the image quality in good light. I also miss too many opportunities in uncontrolled situations with this camera and DSLRs. Seriously thinking of going back to a Camcorder...
but does it have good night vision?
Is the onboard mic omnidirectional ? Another way of saying is the onboard Mic sufficient 🤔
Can we pair it with another model? For example mini 2?
Would this work as a little improvement to a home office in terms of working as s little speaker phone
Well the g70 is out at this point so I guess you'll have to buy that one and do a review
good
Thanks for the positive review of the Canon HF G50 I'm having an issue with my Canon XA60B. My videos look fantastic on smaller screens like phones and laptops, but they appear overly stretched and grainy when played on larger TVs (55 inches and up). I'm wondering if there's a camera setting causing this. Can you help me troubleshoot?
I have the HF G40, HD camcorder. I've made a few videos about it and I still use it from time to time even though I have other cameras including a Panasonic GH5s, which is incredible by the way. I definitely would like a newer camcorder. I was thinking maybe the HF G60, but a G50 might do as well it seems.... Great video though, thanks. Oh, one draw back that keeps me from using these cameras more is the dynamic range. And also the smaller bit rate makes it harder to adjust colours and such. So I just find you really have to make sure you nail it in camera.
Im debating this or the g60 since g60 has larger sensor
Thanks for the review!
Of course! Thank you for making a quality product 😎👍
Gotta say, I’m with you on this. My HF G70 is the best looking video I’ve ever seen personally. I have one pointer for you. Roll with the 4K. It’s much better than the 1080p mode for like… no reason at all. Also, messing with custom picture profiles is tricky, but doesn’t take long to figure out what’s going on. Colour matrix adjustments are tricky, but try going +15, +15, +10, +15, +10, +15 for a slightly “kodachromy” look, and then adjust the knee slope up by 10, lower the point to 85, it looks pretty neat.
I would have used 4K more often if I didn't care about bigger file sizes lol. That's why I mostly used 1080p but I totally understand your point, if you have the storage and the hardware to handle 4K footage definitely use it with the G50/G70 cuz there's no crop!
What external microphones do you recommend?
I'm thinking about making a video on this topic very soon!
24 or 23.98 fps?
The latter
Camera has good colour.
Just what I was looking for
I love camcorders. They are the best option to run n gun filmmaking. I just love them. I've got the Canon Legria HF S21 and HF G25. They both, to me, are indie filmmaking beasts!! They provide a lot of pro features for limitless filmmaking. I really love them. And yes, a camcorder can give bokeh too!!
I think they are worth it for that price; I just got the Canon HF Vixia G70 and I'm happy with it.
I’ll shoot Canon XF405 and i love it !!!
I just ordered this @ $27 few hours ago 😊 i can't wait to have it in my hand
great video. camcorders are amazing. I shot 4 fiction features with them and received great responses from critics and theaters for them. super easy to use image making gear. great for indie fiction feature filmmakers.
This camcorder takes beautiful film. I am obsessed with it. - Chris
i have used mine for more than a year. but recently the power button wouldn't turn on. Do you know how to fix this?
Very helpful, thank you. What is the main difference between the G50 and the G70? I see the G70 for about the same price as the G50 was when this video was made.
Is there any other high zoom cameras other than the Panasonic intelligent 90x? Looking for a better one
which one is better? Canon Vixia HF G70 or Panasonic HC-X1500GC
iTS A GRATE CAMERA, I HAVE FILMED MOSTLY MY FILMS ON THAT CAMERA.
I still use camcorders I used a Panosonic Hc v
Just use a phone. Camcorder doesn't go wide adequately. 16mm is needed. 26mm is too tight for a walk and talk. Stabilization also sucks. The zoom is cool. Was cool in 1970 as well. It's a dead look. Nobody wants to watch smash zoom retro visuals.
This camera, apart from recording in 1080p and 4k, does not record in 2k (1440)????
Yep some of us been using digicams going back 20+ years. We all switched from film back then because you can spend $2000 on film and processing really quickly if you did a lot of shooting. These days I think the resurgence is due to the same thing, people went back to film and quickly found out how expensive film is, saw another video where the film was $2 per shot, 1000 shots is $2000, yikes. So much like we went digital back then, I think people have moved to the next best thing "film like" ccd sensors. As long as more people are shooting and having fun that's all that matters.
FINALLY found someone else who also believes in camcorders, besides me! Coincidentally, also have this same model!
I have the requirement to document an extended road trip in Africa focusing on nature and wildlife photography where the end goal will be the creation of a sequence of UA-cam videos to be edited on a desktop PC. I have looked at many options and a prosumer camcorder fits the bill as the one instrument with a wide range of functionality with ease of use operation. Based on affordability and availability my options are the Sony FDR-AX43 and Canon XA60B where my preference is biased to the Sony.
great video, almost pulling the trigger on a g50, but does it have Canon Log or Wide Dr? And the ND filter is only after F4.0 automatically right?
I purchased this model for my church when we went to online services during Covid. We still use it for our livestream. Great camera for our purposes!
Check out my test on my Canon XA50: ua-cam.com/video/r2N4LoCS3kg/v-deo.html
I have the Canon XA50. I love it!
Love this review. Also wanted to comment on your video clips -- very well done, great composition!
Images are really great 👍 i have a camcorder (Sony fdr-Ax 53). Thanks for shining some light on this camcorder. New sub btw 👍🏽
I'm a 16 year videographer & photographer, good video!
Dude great review! I've seen a few and you covered exactly what I was looking for. Good luck with your projects!💪🏼
I just bought mine last week.
A new term for something that is harder to use than people think. Haha
Crazy! A camera review that focuses on image quality.
Do you think it's worth spending a little more for the A53?
It depends on what specs you're looking for honestly. The A53 is only slightly better and also doesn't have a headphone jack but the A23 does. That was a deal breaker for me but might not be for you.
I decided to go with the A23.
📌 Nice video dude and nice shots. You are still a little awkward in front of the camera, but you are doing very well. It's ridiculous that there is so much focus on DSLR when it comes to filming when these cameras are primarily made for stills and quickly get hot while shooting video. We have recently started using the Canon XA70 here, which is fairly comparable in terms of body to the Canon HF G50. The specs are of course higher, but the price is also more than 2 times higher. We look forward to the next videos shot with your Canon HF G50. Very wise to use 24 frames instead of the 60 hype. It does indeed look cinematic with beautiful colors and razor-sharp images. The camcorder should receive much more attention for filming, because the DSLR is still less suitable for this. Our compliments for having the courage to bring this to your attention. Well done.
Thank you I appreciate the feedback!
They kept the headphone jack but got rid of the FM Radio and home screen looping.🤦🏽♂️ BUT they put in a bunch of unnecessary bells and whistles, a.k.a. crap, I don't have a use for. I've used LG mostly, Motorola, HTC, Umidigi, Nokia Windows phone and Samsung is the only one that wants you to make an account on their website when using their product.
Hey I'll give you that, the extra Samsung apps do take up a bunch of space when you get the phone but for this price point it's still a reasonable purchase.
What do you eat Matthew 🧟? Go raw vegan man
Nice unboxing. Does it have an FM radio?
