Raw emotion my friend! Many of us Nightwish devotees have been in your place, many times. Nightwish has no compare in so many levels and one often overlooked is the lyrics, the storytelling, pulling our raw emotions to daylight! Tuomas is an absolute genius! Nightwish/Floor make grown men cry, crying is part of Floorgasms and that is OK!

Before FLOOR..I liked NIGHTWISH. But..when She joined..My appreciation went to a new level. Floor's Voice is Glorious and she's capable of Everything. Floor's my Favorite Female Singer.. Breathtaking. GHOST now belongs to FLOOR'S.

Seen 30 or 40 of this video and your in the top two reactions . The other one was again remembered the old vocalist like you and the couple were in tears same as you . Ive never heard Nightwish before my watching reactions , and easerly my fave live performance ever , beating my previous fave Led Zep Stairway to Heaven live from madison square gardens . I have seen floor before seeing nightwish and that was doing Phantom of the opera with henrick poort in a TV studio . But singing in a rock band WOW

I started to listen to Nightwish during the Tarja era and thought they would never find anyone that came close either. But Floor is on par with Tarjas operatic voice, and has much more versatility with her voice than Tarja had. I agree whole heartedly with you, Floor is the best vocalist that's been in Nightwish. Her stage presence shouldn't be forgotten either, they way she leads the crowd is just top notch showmanship.

I have heard a lt of this song and it's reactions, and I still wonder - Does Tarya realise that this song is somehow a tribute to her, and does she appreciate the work and emotions behind it? Does she realise that Floor, the new singer, gives a tribute to her and her legacy in Nightwish in this song? If I was her, I would've cried during all this, realising how much pain I caused to my friends, my band, and also the small tears of yelousy, realising that Floor IS Nightwish just as I was before, and that they're thriving without me...?.....................................

Hey douglesby. Thanks for uploading this video. This is exactly the emotion I get EVERY TIME I watch this nightwish video. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. This performance is just breath taking. One of my absolute favorite songs.

I've noticed, Tarja does better in operettic vioce, it has more volume, so in some songs, e.g. Stargazers, or Phantom of the opera (especially phantom!) I like Tarja's voice, but in this particular song and in metal at all, Floor is more than awesome, also her stage presents, her ability to fluently choose the voice technique to express what she wants is awesome. so they are not comparable, they just different

Floor is such a versatile singer, I said it many times she is the best female vocalist I've ever heard and I've heard a lot of them.. she has that capability to basically sing in any band or genre of music and succeed, easily might I add.

Floor replaced Anette who replaced Tarja(man that skipping is getting on our nerves). Floor is 6' 1" she's taller than all the guys. Her husband Hannes van Dahl is 6'7" and plays drums for the Swedish thrash metal band Sabaton. We call her our Valkyrie Goddess of Metal. We call Tuomas the Metal Mozart. From what I hear, Floor changed the ending(the last three notes) from Tarja's GLC. Yes Dutch, pronounced Floor like what you stand on. Last name is pronounced Yansen or Yahnsen. One of her early fans bought a yellow 'WET FLOOR' sign and gave it to her before a concert. They all had a big laugh over that. :-D She carried it around for awhile but I saw it in her studio earlier this year during one of her cover songs(because pandemic). I liked subscribed and rang the black bell. Glad to have you back with us! I live in Dallas Tx and am 77 years old.

There is no Tarja vs Floor - this is high end musicianship, not a hockey game. They are both magnificent in their individual ways. The band, and the songs, have also evolved between the two eras. The GLS featuring Tarja video and this one with Floor are things I can go back and forth between and really admire. Nuances: the use of the choir vocal tracks were more up-front in the early Tarja version to the point where they almost competed for attention with her. Now, in later days, they are more integrated as part of the soundscape behind the lead vocalist - personally I think they could be amped up just a tiny bit but it's entirely a matter of taste - still there but Floor shines through them and the instruments. Both sound great - as I said, I'll slide back and forth between them according to mood and be happy. Anette Olzon - she tried but didn't really fit either metal or classic as she was more poppy. Great in studio productions but didn't hold her own in live performances the way Tarja and, especially, Floor can do - she has stage presence to burn. I think it was the Tarja-Anette changeover that caused so many to lose interest. Floor has reversed that trend bigtime. Something to try out as well is the "Ghost Love Score - Instrumental" from the "Once" album. Had to watch this reaction again. Probably one of the most honest reactions I have seen. We ALL cry at this section. We aren't strangers, we are the Nightwish Army, and you are one of us.

You need to listen to Floor sing with her sister Irene. You will have to search for it. Also with Simone from Epica, on Retrospect/ Sanata Terra. Amazing. To my thinking, the Greatest Show On Earth, is a whole nuther step beyond even this. If you understand that it is describing the entirety of the creation of everything. Bring Kleenex. Never more true. Greater than even the sum of its parts, Nightwish. You will notice that both Marko and Emppu are over with Tuomas at the end for support. Music is emotion, it's only right to react accordingly.
