Thank you, sir. Two of mine were 500k and 22.5k. Both need replacing I'm guessing.
What an excellent video , was going to struggle the hard way . Its going to be far more pleasant doing it the proper way and only 30mins . Thankyou
Glad you found it helpful
Top man I own a garage been mechanic all my days but learning daily many thanks 👍
Thank you for the reply ,I was going to buy one but needs a turbo ,£800 2010 van price
How much does that cost? Or for a turbo to get changed? Average price please sir if you can?
It all depends what the labour rate of the garage , ot would be about 1 hours labour for front end removal, turbo replacement is about 4 hours
Thanks, great help 👍
I'm grateful to have found this video as I'm tinkering with my Nissan Kubistar 2008 (a model which pretty much is a Nissan-badged Kangoo). I have to ask you who seems to be a good mechanic and might know this. What is that drawn out beeping sound in the background?...if you go to 0:52 into the video it is clearly heard in the background, but it also sounds while you are talking about the relay. I have the same background noise on my car, and wonder where it is coming from. Do you think it is normal or is there something wrong when that sound is heard? The reason I ask is that the car can't seem to get rid of error code P0670 despite new glow plugs, im clearing the code but it comes back, and I'm starting to wonder if the noise has anything to do with the error.
Hi I’ve 380/670 and I’ve a solid immon light on dash I’ve no glow plug light / service light proper scratching my head I’ve had 3 auto electricians on it done earth checked wiring replaced fps doing regulator Monday but any hints would be appreciated .. also replaced glow plug relay from my other running vehicle cheers buddy
Tbh I'm not sure without having a look. I wouldn't want to send you down a blind alley. Good luck with it.
Great pair of videos. Some really fab advice. Defo helped to realise what has to be done.
Hello, are the wires of injectors coming from ECU to injectors positive or positive and negative electrodes? It has nothing to do with the negative (ground) motor pole. I have a Hino with a J07E 5-cylinder engine, I think the type of injector is from Denso, the engine does not work because the injectors do not secrete diesel (electric problem)
Hi Martin. Ive just got a vauxhall vivaro 2012 with 140k on the clock. The service history says the oil was changed evey 20k miles. I keep seeing videos of others saying rebew the timing chain. Others say is shoukd be fine. So do i get it changed or wait till i start hearing a rattle or poor engine power? Cheers
I'd say the concensus of opinion goes to change it every 100k miles irrelevant of oil changes.
What will.melt in the sun?
Thanks mate mines a 16 plate I'll keep watching your videos you class brother 👍
What year is that van brother class video my friend
They are the same from 2000 to 2014
Is there any way of taking the actual bonnet off? For repairing/repraying purposes?
Yes you can undo the two bolts on the hinges.
Thanks for this - just sealed mine prior to replacing MAF as had water ingress into my air filter box which I can other assume has caused P1010 MAF fault. Did notice rust around injectors but am hoping as they have been done recently they wont be an issues for a while yet.
Really helpful video thanks for posting it. Any advice on checking whether injectors are badly rusted from water ingress prior to purchasing a Vivaro? Going to look at 2008 with 119k. Thanks
Alright butti, changed plugs, changed relay, changed relay in fuze box still not working and light on on dash ?????
First things first, do you have power going to the glowplug relay
I have same faults but in addition engine is not starting. Is it possible that it is not starting because of those faults?
Can all your injectors go out at once?. I did what was shown here, and they all fall to zero.. what would cause your injectors to all go out at the same time?.. or is the testing procedure here wrong?.
The testing procedure is just a guide for piezo, if you're testing solenoid injectors then turn your meter up to its highest sensitivity
@@southwestinjectorremovals8932ok I'll try that.. I'm trying to diagnose why injector is not energizing?. Or no pulse signal?. also what are the two wire terminals on my Bosch solenoid injector. Two fat red wires!. Constant 12v & pulse? Negative and positive?. Reason I ask is because there is continuity between the two terminals your showing
The video is for piezo injectors.solenoid injectors work at lower electrical pulses, lower resistance readings.
Hi have you done a video on getting out the rusted injector clamp bolt!!
No sorry, I just do the videos that the average DIYer would have a go at
Genius
Is this the same for the mk1 2003 model bud?
Yes it is
Excellent video my no4 cylinder misfiring now due to water ingress will be doing this straight away
Thank you for sharing with us.
Hi I have the 2016 1.6 traffic with the engine light on and the code reader is saying glow plug circuit A I’ve replaced the plugs and changed the relay but the engine light still comes on have you got any ideas please
Have you checked if there is power coming from the relay to the glowplugs
I’m told these newer models don’t always show a voltage at the plugs but there isn’t a voltage showing also I’ve replaced the glow plug relay and the main terminal in relay is showing battery voltage
If you put a test light or a voltmeter on the end of the glowplug connector and the engine isn't warm it should show voltage
Just done mine today using this video, thanks for the help. Something I didn’t notice until I got into it is that the air box is already off in this video. You can do the scuttle seal with the air box still on but there’s 1 more 10mm bolt to undo between the air box and scuttle not shown here and you’ll also have less room to work and get the wiper motor out.
Took your advice and went to a recommended garage with diagnostic gizmo.seemingly glow plug relay i put in (new) was faulty. e bay special! Replaced it with a proper one for a dacia duster a lot more expensive but was worth it no more limp mode or lights oon dashboard .once again thankyou.
Great step by step video. I shall be doing mine soon 👍
Great video, my 2.0 vivaro with Renault engine has been getting a glow plug and spanner light coming on. Fault code reader says it's a turbo fault and this fault comes on with low revs, for instance driving in 6th gear just under 2000 revs. If i keep the revs high then the fault doesn't come up. So it sounds to me that the turbo fans are struggling to spin at low rpm. Any advice would be great.
What’s a peejo?
I have a 2006 Renault Master 2.5 CDI, with an intermittent glow plug problem, I have changed the relay, I also noticed the light would come on when cold, but not when hot. The temperature gauge is not showing a hot temperature, when you turn on the ignition when the engine is hot, but the fuel gauge works. I changed the temperature sender, again, fine when cold, and temperature gauge reads fine once hot, but as soon as you turn off the ignition, and try to restart a hot engine, the gauge is not showing a temperature , glow plug light / relay won't work, if I unplug the hot sensor and plug in a cold sensor, it will work, any ideas please ?
Do you know is there any way to test the control unit? Thanks
Yes put a multimeter to where the glowplug attaches and turn on the ignition, if there's no reading there's no power and your control unit is broken.
@@southwestinjectorremovals8932 great thank you
Excellent video, not a mechanic myself but I stripped down my Vivaro with ease following this video. I have another problem you my be able to advise on if you don't mind. My exhaust is smoking a little more than I think it should and is Smelly, I have just changed the oil and filter but no change, Any advice?
Awesome video. Thank you. I have this issue but wanting to have the relay before i start. If it is the cable I will re-solder it now also.
Is it easy to Access the relay on an F15 2015 Nissan juke? Is it just a case of remove the battery and tray? Or is there a better way to do it? Thanks, in advance. Just trying to find a handy guide rather than learn on the job as it is a friend’s car.
Another great video. Thanks. I replaced all my top hat nuts and the bolts with stainless, also used riv nuts and stainless bolts. Makes life much easier at the next strip down.
How about bleed the fuel / injectors ? Pls
Many thanks for this info . . .Finally sorted a 'P2149' issue with the Vivaro that it would cut out after a couple of seconds. . . Disconnected the injector 4 connector and the car started and ran on 3 cylinders . . Eureka!! Then tested the 'new' injector connections. . only 15kohms and connection to earth . .!! . . bad injector!! . . .Great info.
Hi I have a 2008 2.0 vivaro p0380 code, glow plug resistance is 0.4ohms is this to low? Module seems to be working
Hi I got a Renault traffic with the p0380 code van won’t even turn over I’m based in cardiff is this something you could help me with many thanks james
What voltage should be coming out to the glow plugs?
Great video cheers. Is it worth putting some wd40 or something on the Rocker cover to lube the injectors up for the future? Cheers
No that won't work. Put grease when outting in new injectors, but if the injectors are already in, there's nothing I've found that will help to release them.
Thank you very much for your help!
A great advert for your services while also helping us owners. Thank you. 👍
Thanks for this. Now that I've done this, is there anything else I can do to make the injectors easier to remove in the future? Any sort of oil that I can soak on top of the injectors? I don't need them out now but thinking of the future
very thank your information and time
Very informative🎉. Does this test method applicable to all injectors please?
It's only for piezo injectors
Thanks for the response. I am having challenge with testing the resistance reading after watching this video repeatedly. My readings as always been 0.00😢. What am I not getting right please? (1) What does a zero resistance value mean, 2) what is the acceptable resistance value for a good diesel injection and 3) what is the right ohms position to set on my multimeter? Thank you
Awesome, clear and easy explanation.
I subscribe twice.
