Now that's how you enjoy your summer nights! A.G.
Go bears
The Alamodome in San Antonio needs to be on this list. It has no major tenant, and it sits idle most of the year.
OH MY GOSH ITS PEN ISLAND!!!
Pen Island real???!!!
no spaces all caps 💀
I’m glad this channel isn’t dead. Bring back the minor league ballpark videos!
RSL's stadium is bad......really bad. Placing is probably OK but could be lower. Only people that haven't been there, or are RSL fans, rate it higher.
Come on you Loons! Allianz is really a great venue, especially with the Wonderwall.
Looks like Phoenix Raceway
BOK still has both Oilers teams, ECHL and IFL. We also bring in major sporting events like Thunder and Stars pre-season games, WWE and now AEW events, and concerts from many, many popular music artists. Been there tons of times as I'm about 30 minutes away from the arena, and it's 100% one of the nicest arenas that I've been to, next to the American Airlines Center in Dallas, T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and the Paycom Center in OKC. Always a go-to arena for us whenever there's something or someone coming to Tulsa.
Why did the CFL go Woke? The Toronto Argos even had a Gay Pride parade. Many people I know gave up going to the games as they do not support transgenderism.
I believe some 40,000 of those bears were raising by a young girl and her charity.
Michelle flick I absolutely love you too the moon and back baby girl you are the best wife ever baby loves 💖🌎✨🌟❤️💋💙🌍💜💫🤩💓😍💟😘🤟🥰💯
I've been an seen the Estadio José Ortega Martínez in person, as I'm a neighbor from Naucalpan. It's inside the UVM (University of the Valley of México), and it is the stadium for the UVM Linces, from the college league here in Mexico. It's nice to see you stumbled upon my hometown and this curious stadium.
I was enjoying this video, then you mentioned that some of the bears are donated to an autism charity and the waterworks started. My son has autism and he has a stuffed penguin that goes EVERYWHERE with him. He cannot sleep without his massive pile of plushies on his bed. For a kid who has trouble with sensory processing, those stuffed toys are a godsend. It helps with regulation and coming down off of sensory overload, which happens with autism quite a bit. Hats off to the Hershey Bears and their fans. ❤
Much love :) Thank you for sharing!
A nice perk of Children's Mercy Park is that it is right next to The Legends, a massive shopping center. Traffic can get a little funky for that reason and heaven forbid there is a NASCAR race scheduled the same day as Kansas Speedway is right across the street as well.
I'm a Washington Capitals fan! The Hershey Bears are the minor league affiliate for the Caps. I can't tell you how happy I am when I hear they break their own record every year!!!
Someone send this video to Real Betis Balompie FC and Feijenoord Rotterdam. They have this tradition too.
thats my home team!
WHOA WHOA WHOA. Hersey is nowhere near the "outskirts" of Philadephia. it is however 30 minutes from Harrisburg. stop thinking everything east of the Appalachian is close to Philadelphia.
Well Hersey doesn't exist
13th January Michael Bond, the children's writer was born on this day in 1926. The inspiration behind his most famous creation came from his encounter with a small bear as he took shelter in Selfridge's toy department on a snowy Christmas Eve. He took him home and named him Paddington, after the railway station. Later, while sitting in front of a blank sheet of paper, he felt the bear's hard stare upon him, and Bond began to imagine what would happen if a real bear had found himself at Paddington Station, friendless, alone, with a label around his neck, like a refugee in the war. And if that was to happen now, what would come next? How the story unfolds tells us a lot about who we are, and the place where we now live. Please Bear in Mind that the Department of Visas and Immigration claim he has ideas above his station having arrived into this Great Nation without the proper documentation. But what they fail to understand is that this isn't the life that he had planned. He could no longer stay in his homeland. He's just looking for a helping hand. He wellies are red, his duffle coat blue. He wears a wide-brimmed had from Darkest Peru. If you should see him then here's what to do: Please look after him. That's all. Thank you. I mention this because Paddington was also involved in a Teddy Toss. When Queen Elisabeth died, thousands of Paddington's were tossed in Buckingham Palace in tribute.
The old Hersheypark Arena is where Wilt Chamberlain had his 100 point game. It's still there, though I doubt it can hold 100,000 bears like its replacement. Time for Five to use this stadium channel to go through every minor league hockey facility. Probably ten years of videos right there. 😁
3:19 im taking away 5 points for not saying toronno
Huh, didn’t know you had a second channel till today.
The Everett Silvertips of the WHL always have a great teddy bear toss night. This year, 8200 people threw 16,946 bears, a franchise record.
And they're gonna 3peat this year
My local USHL team does one, even a highschool basketball team has started one.
That's so.. sweet of them.
Hershey itself has under 14,000 residents, but they are just a few miles up the road from Harrisburg, the state capital (over 50,000). They also draw a fair number from the surrounding counties and a handful from further south since they are affiliated with Washington. Just for the record, the "sweet, cuddly mayhem" line was uttered by radio/TV play-by-play guy Zack Fisch.
I was at the bears game the night before…
We do it every year for the AHL Abbotsford Canucks (Vancouver Canucks farm team), and it's the event of the year
That is awesome!!!!!
Everybody wins in this competition for the biggest bear toss record.
Hershey Bears > Chicago Bears
Teddy bear toss at massmutual center was ELECTRIC
My Green Bay Gamblers do this too, but not to this extreme level!
The Bears are the Montreal Canadiens of the AHL and are the defending Back-2-Back Calder Cup Championships beating the Coachella Valley Firebirds and the Bears having 13 Cups; the most of the AHL
they’re also both some of the oldest teams in their leagues (hershey’s the 2nd oldest in the ahl i believe, montreal’s the oldest in the nhl)
@toxiccakeee yeah Hershey is the 2nd oldest, Hartford is the oldest. Hartford debuted in 1926 to 1976 as the Providence Reds, next in 1976-77 as the Rhode Island Reds, later its 20 years in Binghamton 1977-80 Binghamton Dusters 1980-90 Binghamton Whalers 1990-96 Binghamton Rangers then in 1997 as the Hartford Wolfpack til 2010 to 2013 as the Connecticut Whale, then BACK to the Wolfpack since of 2013 to today
this is probably the best video i've ever seen on this channel. amazing story
Wow, thank you!
@@FivePointsStadiums I've been watching your videos for years and they're great, especially the quirky stadium stuff. but this video struck a different chord, it's heartwarming to see fans come together and do something good. you don't see that much in sports, so when ya do, it's awesome. keep it up, love the channel!
Fun fact: the Calgary Hitmen were named for pro wrestler Bret “The Hitman” Hart
Bret was also part-owner of the club, until the Calgary Flames bought out Hart and and his fellow investors in 1997. Also, Hart's wrestling attire was the inspiration for the team's color scheme. (edited for clarity)
Generally they use the time for cleaning up the bears as the intermission break, then when the "actual" intermission hits they take like a 2 minute break then switch sides
I have been to four or five of them and only saw that once, in 2011. I think it depends on how close to the intermission they are when the game is paused due to the cleanup efforts.
I've been to a couple teddy bear games. and a ton more bears games. Always a great atmosphere
Some of those bears are big - as someone in the front row, no matter how soft and fluffy they are, I wouldn't like to get beaned by a big one. Also a hundred thousand toys and a twelve thousand attendance means that the average fan is bringing eight per, which seems like kind of a lot.
I was at the Cleveland Monsters Teddy Bear toss game for this season, they broke their own record by 5000 this year. But this has basically become something that every AHL team does now.
I went to a few of the Teddy Bear Tosses with the Hitmen as a kid. One of the times we were sitting in the corner, right where the second throw was needed to get around the net, it did indeed mean a lot of tossing 😅
Beautiful
.....Hershey is in the center of Pennsylvania and is actually close to Pittsburgh than Philly
no it is not.
I grew up in the area. Hershey is much closer to Philly than Pittsburgh.
According to which map?
@@gingercat7925going by google maps, Hershey to Philly is 95 miles. Hershey to Pittsburgh is 215
You should see the throwing of stuffed animals in Betis Southern Spain
WHL oil kings have been doing this for years too! Greatest thing to do!
This is so cool ❤
