Sunday Funday. When the weather is perfect to go out for a ride, I jump at the opportunity. Today was one of those day. Had a trip out to Dorking to hit Ryka's Cafe where bikes meet come rain or shine every Sunday. In my research, it’s only ec approved with the CAT installed
itd crazy none of the peopel i watch take these out use a dremmel with a diamond bur, to take the weld off. takes two seconds....

Never considered that to be fair 😂. Hardly ever see those bikes around me. However, my bike was stolen, so somebody else has a bike that “looks like a CBR500R” now
Removing the db killer, does it cause the bike to run lean? Would you need to remap it, given the exhaust specs say it auto tunes
Hello man! Is the hole you want to drill welded?
Yes, there are tac welds holding the DB Killer in place. The idea is drill through the tac weld and then you are able to begin removing it as per the video.

Hi! Thank you for this video, well explained. I just have one question: I bought the bike with the Arrow exhaust already on (without the catalyst converter), do I need to reprogram the bike if I put the original exhaust back on as it has a cat and lambda sensor might get confused and make the bike have a lean air/fuel ratio? Thanks!
I would say that is wise. The bikes maps may correct themselves, but the bike may have been remapped when the Arrow Exhaust was fitted. It may be an unknown, but I would always advise having the map checked
Really respect the work . But think arak seems quite same as stock . Unfortunately Austin racing did not make full system for this bike
It’s night and day man… the stock exhaust sounds like a scooter 4000 rpm and below. This is throaty and full sounding bottom to top

way to loud..if you live out on the country, fine. But when you drive around town it is going to annoy a lot of people. Time for loud pipes are ending for a reason. Im an CB650R owner my self btw.

Do you or Does anyone know an easy way to use this dbkiller as putting on/off easier, without removing the silencer out of the bike, or even without removing the carbon cover. I’m thinking of a way to modify the dbkiller such a way that it’d be on/off easier without removing anything. Any ideas? Thanks.
I appreciate that you actually give it a decent rev for the sound check. I can't stand it when someone goes out of their way to make a "sound check" video, only to rev it to like 4,000rpm. Bike sounds fantastic mate.

Did you have to cut the ends for the mirrors ?
No, the bar end mirrors fit / bolt into the end of the handle (replacing where the weighted ends usually sit).
There's also Termigoni that goes under the bike
How much did you shaving the throttle tube plastic to fit it on?
It only requires you to remove the notched / raised parts. So long as the plastic surface is smooth and they have been removed you should be able to slide the grip on fairly easily.

Is there a gap between your grip and switch gear on throttle side?
Only a small gap. The same gap the bike comes with as standard. There needs to be enough gap for the throttle to twist without rubbing the switch gear body.
will this fit the cb650r 2023 model too?
To be honest I am not sure. I am not sure what has changed spec wise on the new bike, so it would be worth checking on the Akrapovic website or emailing them.
It's nice you have a CO2 sensor on your bike. I wouldn't want to pass out from carbon dioxide poisoning. Of course, if you have an O2 sensor onboard, the oxygen will bring you back to life! Just sayin!

Looks and sounds amazing. Why didn't you get the CAT and what's your plan to pass the MOT? (I presume you are riding it on UK roads)?
I am on UK roads, that’s correct. I didn’t get the CAT it’s less restrictive and allows the bike to ‘breathe’ (plus it sounds incredible). I have friends that do not have CATs and they haven’t had issues. I just need to find out what I need to do
I looked into this a bit more and I think you’re fine as the MOT doesn’t include an emissions test currently. They only check for ‘reasonable’ noise which I guess is ok with baffle in. Also the CAT looks like another £500!
With the baffle in, does it still sound better than stock? Also, I am confused about passing the MOT. Does this lovely titanium system still have a catalytic converter in / would the bike still pass a standard UK MOT?
To be honest I don’t know. As you can see from my other video I removed the baffle before I fitted the exhaust, so I do not have a comparison, but I am sure it will on on YT somewhere. My exhaust is not fitted with the CAT, but you can spec my model exhaust from the factory with a CAT fitted and you will have no trouble with the MOT. Mine is due it’s first MOT this year, so I will find out
Heyy man i‘ve drilled the weld with up to a 8 mm because my weld is very big. But i still cant tap it out… What should i do?
Hey, that’s really strange the weld seems to be that big. The are just a tac weld, so shouldn’t be any bigger than 8mm. You may see in the video, it did need a fair amount of persuasion to remove mine. It’s heat fitted, so you will need some force to remove it.

i try to find an exhaust with a F1 sound like "acute" you say in english but i really dont know thats hard to say in videos ^-^
What kind og drill did you use? Metal or aluminium
so the model with carbon tip just like yours is homologated but no cat fit in unless you purchase a cat separately, and the cheaper one without carbon tip cannot fit cat at all
That’s correct. The exhaust I have is the only option to fit a Cat (when purchased new), whereas the AFT (non carbon tip model) cannot have a Cat fitted and is sold as a Race only. I am unsure if a Cat can be fitted in my version (HEGEHT) after purchase from Akrapovic.

No need to remove it. The clutch side is 10 times easier than the throttle side, as it doesn’t have the factory ribbing
We can read on akrap official site that S-H6R14-HEGEHT fit only 2019 , its true ? I need one for 2023 and i want homologation.

Hi thanks for this. Just did mine now but engine light came on. Any idea what could cause this?
What year is your bike? I would check the lambda sensor first and ensure it is secure and tight at the exhaust end and also that the connector end is secure. Failing that, it may need a remap / flash. The fuel mixture might have changed due to the exhaust system (usually makes it run lean) and if it’s outside of the bikes ECU parameters it may bring up a fault code. Those are my thoughts, but I would recommend having a look on forums or speak to your Honda dealer 👍🏻

That carbon tip is so fake, I'd run with the other model for sure.
What do you mean when you say fake? It’s perfectly real Carbon and is used as a heat shield, as well as aesthetics.

Yes mate bike looks lovely, Im torn between this and the mt-07 I was wondering how this one does on fuel? Ive heard that the cbr may drink quiet a bit I was wondering if its as bad as they make out? Do you know what you average for mpg?
Thank you. I can’t comment on fuel comparison to the MT-07, however, I would say the CBR is pretty good. Round town I get about 45mpg (depending on riding style) and on the motorway, I have had as much as 72mpg just cruising along at a steady speed.
