Is femc worth it? Rhetorical question
Hiya, have you finished the remake's Answer? I'm wondering what you think. I'm planning on playing FES but I'm wondering if it's best to "save" the experience for Reload which I've heard is just better overall.
So it seems like portable is, kind of, similar to smt iv? As far as the cutscenes and dialogue and stuff? and movemnt outside of dungeons being done through a menu instead of 3d movement
The real question should be: "Is Persona 3 Worth Playing?" To which is the answer is: Absolutely.
He would win americas got talent for sure
No.
Ive played fes like 3 or 4 times and was never able to finish for a verity of reasons. I recently bought the portable version on the switch, and while the game being turned into a visual novel is annoying and uninteresting, ive found a video of all the fes story stuff to watch while i explore explore tartarus. Overall thoughts and feels: unless you need to see your guy moving and the extra chapter, portable is fine. Still plan on getting a ps3 for the Full fes experience and maybe the chapter later
Only reason to play P3P is for the FemC route or if its the only version you can play. Reload's better but so is FES. If you really need direct commands use a modded iso on a emulator or use a cheat code on emulator or cheat device like a gameshark.
At first, neither FES nor Portable clicked for me, but after playing through Reload it's kind of fun to play FeMC in P3P, it's like playing a demake in an alternate dimension :D So that would be my subjective recommendation currently ^^
Sadly Femc did not return in the persona 3 reload
❤
I prefer p3p. Having the option to play as a female character just puts it above for me. I could care no less about graphics and whatnot.
Same. I'm used to visual novels thanks to Ace Attorney. I loved my time with Persona 3 Portable, my first time playing Persona 3. I played as Fem MC and adored it.
I didn't know persona 3 had different versions and I played the portable version on switch and hated it. Not being able to walk around during daytime threw me off
I played P3P only because I didn’t have the console 😂
Also P3P was a PSP handheld game (at the time I played it, I could be wrong) which is why they couldn’t do the 3D environment.
I’m just… not gonna play Persona 3. It seems like no version has all the stuff I want to experience in one (FeMC and The Answer). So I’m just gonna stick with Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal as the Persona games I’ll play
😜 *Promosm*
欣賞你的用心製作
P3 is massively flawed and overated imo
Great overall summary, looking forward to the gameplay!
Its the Best Classic Bomberman Game! 10/10 in Multiplayer
I played both, and i like more portable tbh
Love them
One button special is trash but wtf ever!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nice video! I hope your channel grow. It reminds me a LOT of core-a gaming.
Good luck with your channel Street fighter and fighting games at evo this year are popping off! So many 3-2 neck and neck matches and comebacks! Aki and the tmnt collab also got announced! Super wicked
What is smash bros?
I find that the biggest problem with fighting games for the longest time is that they just don't teach or explain things well enough for the layman to understand. They were initially designed to be social games between two or more people in an arcade setting, and thus devs mostly left the teaching of the genre to the community, encouraging mingling and socializing between players. But that all changed when video games turned more into a home entertainment. Suddenly, a training mode is needed, then a proper tutorial, then a functioning online, etc, etc, and the list goes on. Fighting game devs took a really long adjustment period compared to other genres. Riot Games recently released a "How to Play Project L" video that details how to play the game, explaining its system and controls. The amount of non-FG people in the comments being surprised and excited at the "simplicity" of the game is lowkey amusing, because almost all the things detailed in the video are basic fighting game stuffs, and anyone with experience in fighting games could tell from all the gameplay footage of Project L that the game is extremely complex and demanding in execution. The Cannon brothers and the dev team basically made Project L seem "simple" in the eyes of the average gamer by properly explaining stuffs to them. It's both groundbreaking and asinine for how straightforward their solution is, lol...
You know the 90s happened right? Fighting games WERE mainstream. They were the dominant genre of most of the 90s. It wasnt always the "odd uncle" and if you're going to do a video like this you shouldnt misinform people. Not that this is you're fault but I am sick and tired of young people telling me that my past is a lie. Take it from someone who was there, fighting games were everything. You think Hollywood spent millions making a terrible Street Fighter movie because it was niche? Then fighting games died. Then they came back in 2009 and have been around ever since. Will they ever achieve the level of fame and notoriety of the SF2 or SF4 days? No. Not currently because fighting games are still a thing, they would have to die to be born again like SF4. And people are weirdly afraid of picking up fighting games. Theres an incredible amount of misinformation about fighting games and their difficulty and what is necessary for them to become fun. People believe you need to be Daigo to have fun playing and that simply isnt true. Fighting games needs a huge cultural facelift if they're to become mainstream again. The general public need to know that pressing buttons and watching cool stuff happen is the fun part, not necessarily learning framedata and matchups. Tier lists also need to gtfo. Just pick who you think is cool and go. Stop worrying about the meta when you're not at that level. This is just aimed at anyone generally, though the first part is directed at you.
your opinion is great and warranted. i very much loved seeing this, even if it came off a tiny bit jaded. my own personal criteria for the idea of "mainstream" is simply, if you were to hand a game within a genre to any person who tries to qualifies themself as a "mainstream gamer', would they be able to display a decent understanding of what they're playing? they'll probably display basic aim abilities to play shooters, movement third person action games, probably even MOBAs, but are most likely are completely missing any sort of deeper knowledge of fighting games other than "hit opponent til they're dead." they play it like they're playing final fight. mortal kombat had a undoubtable impact around the 90s. king of fighters is still massive to this day around latin america and south east asia. blazblue put a lot of eyes on anime fighters when it dropped, smash is undoubtably something most gamers have, and SF4 is.. well, it was SF4. but yeah, you said it best yourself. fighting games are plagued with misinformation and toxicity. it only takes a few seconds of scrolling through comments of any sort of fighting content to see that the majority of people who might think of themselves as part of a fighting game community don't actually even play, let alone understand anything, but will happily complain about the most surface level things. negativity like that will just turn off anyone who's looking to give these games a try. that's more or less why this video exists. i'm not here to give a history lesson on fighting games, i want the "mainstream crowd" to put hands on the game, on the genre, and actually understand what they're playing. the "hit things for cool stuff" is the necessary hook to get people into things, but staying power relies on the mechanical depth behind the scenes that people rarely even attempt learn. i legitimately want to see this genre reach the level of mainstream that valorent, league, fortnite, and whatever people play today. and i think SF6 might have that spark. also, your past is very real. i've watched one a many bar stools/ashtrays tossed over one too many throws in any matches of ST. universally in the americas, and in asia. people took that stuff real seriously, man.
@@2ndOpReviews Honestly I needed to rant and you happened to be who i directed it at. And then i ended up on a tangent. I just love fighting games haha. It's just so bizarre how they've been around for so long and theres all this misinformation surrounding them. You hear a lot of "fighting games need to get with the times" instead of "hey, the foundation of fighting games hasnt changed in 30 years, that goes to show how solid SF2s foundation actually is". And now the games are more accessible than they ever were and you have people too anxious to start playing against real people. Whereas back in the day it was your only option in a crowded arcade. I miss those days tbh. Also I'm from the UK here, another thing that bothers me is you never hear about European video game history. It's always America or Japan. Granted we had shitty 50hz versions of games for home consoles but arcades were huge in Europe. SEGA themselves invested in arcades across Europe because it was largely ignored by Nintendo in those days. We grew up over here with japanese candy cabs and arcades with 40ft images of Sonic (japanese artwork) on the side of the building. Now most of them are closed and the ones that are left open are a shadow of their former selves. I understand why, it just sucks having grown up around that culture.
With the rise of rampant hacking and cheating in online gaming and the Developers themselves being directly involved and partially responsible, I believe that fighting games WILL make a mainstream comeback do to the non-online nature of them. Games with campaign and story modes will also make a comeback.
As a complete newbie to these kind of fighting games, sf6 has felt really accessible. Each character is fun to play as and it feels really encouraging learning new combos and strategies.
No cutscenes on portable is a bummer..but that’s what I’ll play first. Then I’ll play the remake when it comes
Not with disappointing games like SF6. Capcom gotta do a better job than this.
please be less vague
What’s wrong with sf6 ? My last fighting game was MK9 And the last SF game was sf2.
Sf6 is so well made and balanced especially for only being out for a few months wth are you talking about
a disappointing game that made millions
I'm also a fighting games enjoyer and I gotta say most of the modern releases in the genre have been disappointing to say the least. but sf6 finally delivers, like you sad it yourself, most games make an effort to hide important information to gameplay while sf6 makes that very clear and by playint the single player content, trials, practice, tour mode you'll learn all you need while having fun. For why I like it in specific it's for the amount of option you always have, most fighting games it feels like you're forced to block forever and the first to block loses, bu sf6 gives you a lot of defensive measures with the drive impact, parry and drive reversal, while also giving all characters a fully invincible super, it always feels like you could make a come back, you could win if things went down another way, and most others fighting games, like the newest gulty gear for example, whenever I lose a round all I can think about is "well wtf was I supposed to do?". I'm not that good at street fighter, I can have plat with 5 characters but I can't for the life of me get diamond with anyone but still I'm having a blast, and as icing on top as to why anyone should buy this game, we need to talk about not just the amazing net code but also the bigger playerbase and crossplay, and while most games falls in active players substantially whitin a mounth, sf6 has been maintaining a far bigger and more stable player base, and it bodes well for the game's longevity. Sry for the wall of text, I love the genre and have a lot to say about it and please disregard any gramatic and sintax mistakes as english is not my main language (i'm brazilian).
big apologies for the massive wait in videos. we had a hard drive go down with hours of footage between different games, so between attempted recovery, remaking assets, and straight up re-recording, i didn't have the time to actually edit this out for release. until now. on the bright side, there's now some pretty interesting indie releases that are pending a video, and they should come out far more rapidly. probably.
Sorry my dude I like your content but these kids are smarter then us. Why dumbing down something that is decades old. Theses kids are using smart phones fresh out the whom. It's kids on UA-cam and TikTok are making Thousands. It the lack of imagination. Don't get me wrong the game is good but lacks that it factor. DragonBall, Tekken, and Mortal kombat are very technical games. But there are more kids playing these games and are pretty good. The problem is ppl being stuck in there own box too long. Generations Evolve there not digressing. Move forward. It's the mind... no one stays the same. Later. Love your page!!$$
Well i think people should just wait until persona 3 reload comea out intead of playing p3p
Currently playing Portable. I was really hyped to play this game and even though I'm having fun... I don't know. I feel like I'm more and more playing the game just because? I don't know. Really mixed feeling. All those 3d animations missing really make everyday go by really really quickly. And it's hard to really get in the story when everything is told through a PowerPoint. And to make things worst. The remake persona 3 reload just got announced and now I'm pretty sure that if I had known that before. I'd probably wouldn't have spend 20 euro on p3p. Everytime I see fes gameplay, just moving around in town. Seeing character move while talking. It looks like so much more fun. I'm probably gonna finish p3p but, i don't know if I'm playing it cause I want. Or cause I feel obligated to
Same feeling. But I’ll definitely finish Portable and get the 100%. When Reload comes, I’ll be playing it too
I feel you
I haven't played Saturn Bombemran in a long while, but I remember the two things that made me check it out were the Master mode (which I never really played but thought it was cool to have that challenge mode with Bomberman wearing a gi as if it was a martial arts movie), and of course the 10-player widescreen mode that had me forever dreaming about playing with that many people at once. Closest I got was a 7-8 player Bomberman Blast game, which was undeniably awesome of course, and playing Power Bomberman online with 6-7 players (that fangame is def worth talking about with how it might as well be a "Smash Ultimate" of Bomberman games with all the references, powerups, and mainly that it also features a 12-player wide field mode a la Saturn Bomberman...there's a lot of stuff that is clearly based off it in there). There's also Atomic Bomberman which would be funny to check out for you; I hold a level of nostalgia for it and it is certainly the fastest official game with how everyone moves so fast from second 1, and can be either hilarious or annoying to have all the voiced taunts and 90s CGI while playing. But I remember that the second reason for little me to try that one out was because of being the only other official game outside of Sat (and the currently unaccessible, unemulated Hi-Ten Bomberman) that could handle 10 players, even though unfortunately capped at max 5 connected PCs online (technically could still do 10 if there were 2 players in each PC. That was crazy to watch though with the pace AND fields *not being made bigger to accomodate*.
Some precideraly generated encounters would acin to the hooded figures or that doc workers questline in little marrow, I had the idea of mermaids and sirens you would encounter out at sea, the mermaids would be a randomly generated version of the hooded figures quest but with a reward of gems and jewelry instead of a book most of the time and sirens would "ask" you a riddle in exchange for safe passage and elderage gold and jewels. However I think they would need more than the fallout method to make post campaign/side guest play. The vulnerability in dialogue Windows would probably be a big problem for most forms of talking at sea like with the hooded figure quest and bombs.
Is the artwork on the right side of the thumbnail official or fanart
here because of the p3 reload news 😂
And now there’s another.
Good quality, honest review. Content was scripted thoughtfully and the supporting video clips were apropos.
You should change the end title of the Video to "or JUST TERRIFYING?" for it to make sense imo. I rarely pay for games, but this is going to be my next purchase, as I've really enjoyed the gameplay that I've watched on UA-cam - a Second Opinion is always welcome - so I thank you for that :)
didn't even notice i typo'd. but screw it, we're committed. my sanity is too low to english.
How is that average exactly? Is everything that bad?
it might be worth stressing the point i made at 12:20. "bad" is too strong a word for redfall. there's some truly terrible games out there that this doesn't quality as. redfall is simply just untoasted white bread, $70 white bread ignoring game pass in an market full of great $10/$15/$30/FREE sandwiches you could be enjoying instead. there's no reason that this game should have released in this state, and doesn't help that it's awfully buggy white bread at current time.
this was a great video :)
I honestly only played Persona 3 Portable for the FeMc, Kotone, because I'd beaten P3FES a few times before and really wanted to have a new perspective (as advertised) and I was not disappointed. It was one of the best Persona experiences I've ever had, I'm stuck between P3 and P4 being my favorite Persona games.
I am currently playing dredge and I live the feel of it. Cosy ocean fishing game with a side of Lovecraftian spookiness. My favourite parts would have to be: 1. The inventory system where more valuable = bigger size. 2. How pretty the game looks. 3. The upgrading systems. Things I didn't really like: 1. Dredging the materials was too easy, you could max out an entire tier of boat upgrades before buying any of them. 2.5. I think they were also too small, as upgrading your ship is very important I think they should be bigger. 3. The storage I felt was too big, you could store a lot of upgrade materials as well as the space on your boat and fill a lot of upgrade slots easily. 4. Research parts was a little too easy to find, as well as being able to buy them outright. 5. The "bring me x fish" quests could be better, or heck, even have them randomized so they were always available. (Limited by current fishing gear on board and/or the local area maybe.)
i just got through a playthrough of modded FES, and i've played P3P (but not the remaster), and i think it is the best version for me. i also beat vanilla FES and fought through the party AI, so it has a special place in my heart. i think FES is better overall for me, as i do enjoy things that fight me but work well once you've mastered the mechanics (i drive a stick rather than automatic, so take what i say with a grain of salt lol). the main difference to me seems that P3P and even modded FES lean towards a well rounded party where you can rely on other characters to support the MC, much like P4 and P5 BUT FES is more of a showing in how strong you can be to lead the party. there are quite a few situations in FES where your best bet is going it alone and outright leaving your party members, which can be off putting to some players. i won't spoil too much here, but it's possible this was an intentional design choice given the themes of the game and its ending, even the inception of the MC makes him special and stronger, so i didn't mind this role. i also see the other side with this being a burden though, as it does seem counter-intuitive to have, let's say, a character who is proficient in physical attacks and fire ;) who is less reliable than separate personas like Surt and Su'sanoo for the MC which fulfill those roles. like i mentioned earlier, it can sort of make your party obsolete, which goes against one of the main gameplay mechanics of having a team lol. FES requires solid resource management, both in and out of combat. in combat, since there is no SP restoration like newer games unless you return to the base floor of Tartarus (which has the drawback of instantly sending home tired or sick party members), there will be times when all you have is your items to bring your resources back without calling it a day (where it's arguably better to just rest up until you get to Good condition, especially on Hard difficulty), but you only have a few more floors to go before your checkpoint/objective. this was largely done away with in later versions, and i think there's good reason for its exclusion. i still enjoy the need to be optimal with time usage, but it's also arguable that once you get the hang of it, it just stands in the way of the player behaving as they really want to. regarding outside of combat, each block of the story is locked behind the in game calendar so there will be times where (in FES) you pretty much have nothing to do, especially in end game. this can again ruin immersion. while beginning and mid game can slightly remedy this with Social Links, without jobs, all you do is dungeon for a few days, social link, and story fights (wash, rinse, repeat). P4 remedied this by adding in jobs you can do, and raising stats is important, but not really that important if you don't like the specific link (Fuuka/Courage, Mitsuru/Knowledge, Tanaka/Charm, etc). however, if you want the strongest personas (which i'd argue are necessary on Hard), you will have a slight variation in gaining stats which makes the game fun again. (i think you then run into the issue of why not go for all Max S Links, but then you basically have to follow a guide to the letter or you're sooo fucked lol).
Not only “the best Bomberman battle mode by far” AND “the best overall bomberman game”… … but also “the best 5th gen party game by far” And one of the greatest “simple to pick up, all ages, multiplayer party games of all time”, provided you have 6-8 Saturn controllers and at least one multi tap.
The battle mode of the PC Engine BM94 is so much better. The levels in SB for multiplayer are all very basic. In BM94 you have really hilarious arena's that give tons of fun with friends. Like the super speed arena, the one with teleports or the one with full-length explosions. Also the AI of the enemies is more fun. They are more random in their behaviour, where on the Saturn they feel like they calculate every move. Also menu's work fast on 94, where in SB you spend so much time waiting and selecting. Last benefit of BM94 is that you have much nicer characters to pick: they are all Bomberman, yet funny, like a mini-bomberman, cop-bomberman, a punk-bomberman, a blimp-bomberman, a girl-bomerman and more. And the 10 player mode of SB is just a pain to watch. Such an ugly level in an otherwise great looking game. And 5 player is more than enough. Try to squeeze 8 in front of that Trinitron.... If you can find that many friends uberhaupt.
@@2kBofFun CD or HuCard ? I’ve never played that one, and haven’t played or seen a TG16 in many years. Is the same 94 title on SNES or another console in its same battle mode glory ?
@@AyeYoYoYooo 94 only exists as Japanese HuCard. You see splotches of content in SBM 4 and SMB5, but none of those has the overall coherence and quality of 94. The Battle mode of SBM5 is pretty close, it has the weird levels, but it only does 5-player, on the PCE you can play 2-5, and the sound is annoying on the SNES.Similar to BM '94, SBM5 is also Japan only.
sorry for the inactive period from the last video. we're working on some exciting stuff behind the scenes for both this channel and also on twitch, and now that most of the groundwork is done we should be back to regular content. i also got hopelessly addicted to honkai star rail, but you'll forgive me for that, right?
