i love the GOs , BUt I think it should just keep the price low, and cos I just use it for RDP ... The software windows RDP to remote windows RDP server is the best compare with ios, macos, android ... I would get another go 1 at original price, but not the crazy go 4 price now a day :(

This screen has 60 not 120 refresh. I have this as my current gaming laptop. 32GB RAM, 1TB SP NVME M.2, 1TB SP 2.5" SSD installed using the expansion cable, New battery, keyboard, thermal paste & pads, upgraded to a 120hz screen and upgraded the bottom cover to the one with the red back near the fans. Today is 7/14/2024 @ 12:23am in California, and I run Destiny 2, World of Warcraft, COD Warzone, Fortnite, and many more games and I have no issues at all. This 2017 laptop still currently holds awesome value, coming in at $650 on average, and that's only including a 256 GB hard drive, & 8 GB ram lol. Now add in everything I've done to mine! It's actually up for sale/trade if anyone is interested. If you need help or have questions just hit me up. My Model is actually an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-51-5082 from 2017.

Ive add 16gb ddr4 ram into Open back cover ( stockly unlocked inwind inlays on gpu & cpu ) now GtaV - 60-120fps on epic preset Witcher 3 Next gen - 40- 110 fps on max setup. Metro Exodus on max setup 60-90 fps ( thats ok). Devil May Cry 5 on full 100fps non stop Jedi Fallen Order max on 100fps non stop But as i say i draw a wind pots ( covered by producer) No overheat No downgrade No throtling

My power supply that came with my laptop died , so I use a 120 watt replacement power brick and it works fine mine is the I7 acer nitro 5 with 16 gigs of ram and a gtx 1050ti. I disabled turbo boost and no crashes with the replacement power brick.

This computer can not handle pc games is it not made for gaming it is REALLY bad computer only made for people who just check their email maybe Microsoft word or just using the internet

I have just got a second hand one with XPS 8700 PC i7-4770 3.4GHz 16MB RAM 2TB HDD, windows 10 and a G Force GTX 750 Ti 2GB I want to do my you tube video recording and live streaming on UA-cam not gaming through OBS and my video editing will that handle it

My hunch is that upgrading from 24GB RAM to 32GB RAM was somewhat pointless.. and certainly has no effect on gaming

I realize I’m 2 years late but this just popped up. I have a mini PC I got for $130 on AliExpress(N100 celeron) that has done 5 4k transcodes at once over remote connections. Hooked up a DAS and that’s that. Pulls an average of 15watts, runs 24/7/365. Auto starts after lost power. Things don’t have to be overly complicated or expensive.

Wow, another video saying "how to add media to Plex server", and not actually showing how to add files AFTER the server is set up. Do you FTP or use a browser? I just want to open a window and drag a file to my server HDD. I hate to go over and unplug my HDD, take it to my PC, then drag my files on it, (although faster transfers) then take it back over to my Shield TV and plug it back in! I used to do it, but forgot what to add to the IP address in the address bar in File Explorer.

Hey great summary. One thing to note (now) is that PlexAmp is free but a lot of the premium features remain paywalled. One is continuous playback, they call it 'Guest DJ'. I subscribed to Plex Pass mainly for access to PlexAmp until I realized it was free. Kind of debate buying a lifetime Pass but there's not any groundbreaking features for me. Hardware transcoding would probably be the biggest feature for some people but I think this also gets overvalued assuming bandwidth is a non-issue. The way transcoding should often be handled is just avoid it at all costs, like re-encoding files in proper codecs and using compatible clients. Just my 2 cents on the subject.

Hi, what is the best hardware to build my Plex Server to 4K and hires audio, considering the clients like NVidia Shield Pro, Apple TV 4K and Chromecast 4k with Google TV. I can use a Synology DS923+ with ram upgraded or an Intel NUC with 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 4-Core (11th Gen). So to NUC option, I should be run it over windows or what is better? Needed something low cost to run Windows for remote work. Dell does not support the XPS 8700 beyond Windows 10 and anything that supports 11 was more than I wanted to spend. Picked up a bare XPS 8700 (Case, MB, PS) off eBay. Installed i7-4790, 32GB RAM, 512GB mSATA, 4x 1TB HDD, EVGA 2GB NVIDIA GTX 960, and Sound Blaster X/Fi. Setup 4x HDD as a 2TB RAID0+1. Installed Windows 10 to mSATA as C:\ and RAID as C:\Users. There is an acceptable 14% bottleneck on the EVGA card. Works well with Clip Studio Paint 2.06. When job is done, will dump Windows and run Novell openSuse Linux.

My media server runs Emby instead of plex. With that out of the way, mine resides in a rack mounted, 20 bay 4U server chassis. It consists of dual 12 core E5-2697 v2 cpu's, 128 gigs of ram, and a spare 8gig RX580. I don't count on my gpu for heavy transcoding since I never have many concurrent streams.

If you have the hard drive space in the case, but not the motherboard connectors as is my situation... add in a raid card. It will give you way more options storage wise as well as run your storage in at least raid 5 to give you a bit of leeway if you had a hard drive failure. That way you wouldnt have to redownload all of your media all over again. 8-10TB platter drives are becoming very affordable these days. Get three of them in raid 5 and you will go to go for a long while.

realisticly for most people will be 1-3 trascod at the time , you may give access to 20 people most will not open the app more than 2 times
