This channel is all about Rayman 3. I'm trying to upload Combos which are needed to reach the Maximum-Score in some of the levels.
Bog of Murk, Part 3 - The ultimate Matuvu-Combo (Attempt)
The whole point of this combo - if played properly - is to reload the part until both the Hoodblaster and the 2 Muddibogs survive in the beginning. Which is possible but not only beyond annoying to achieve, but also not necessary for simply showing off the new route. Therefore, I decided to leave the Hoodblaster to its fate and to instead focus on successfully attempting the rest of the combo.
If the Hoodblaster survives as well, the goal is to get the blue can after hitting the last Muddibog, to then kill the Hoodblaster and get both the red gem and the Matuvu with a powerup. If done correctly, this combo is worth 16.380 points vs. the "normal" version's 16.180.

The old combo included the Matuvu for 500 combo points but without a powerup, so this version is worth roughly 250 points more.

How to play the end of the final combo in HH3. This can also double down as the easy version, although slight adjustments (like including the Matuvu) are recommended if you want to play this as a standalone combo. This video shows how to play the beginning: ua-cam.com/video/YfV6j-qX99E/v-deo.html The full version yields 21.940 Combo-Points (100 more if you include the Black Lums from the Hoodib...
Hoodlum Headquarters, Part 2 - The 2-Room-Combo

How to combine (most of) the first 2 rooms into a combo worth 26.160 Points. This is not necessary to achieve the maximum score, but it allows for a more lenient approach to part 1 (the warehouse is horrible to play, thanks to both its layout and the IPG).

It's possible to get a much better time still, but if the past few days of practise have taught me anything, it's that speedrunning can be very frustrating :P therefore, I will likely not be touching this category again until the record gets beaten.

My best full run yet, but there's obviously much to gain; I lost a lot of time in DOTK2 by falling down and having to use the Knaaren switch, same with DOTK3 where I accidentally dropped the PCM, I didn't get the fast Reflux cycle in DOTK, I missed the PCM in SBTC2, I hardlocked myself in HH1's warehouse which cost me over a minute, I triggered the shooting range in HH2, and getting scammed dur...
Bog of Murk, Part 5 - The extended Razoff-Combo (1 hit)
Переглядів 20211 місяців тому
How to get 4.500 combo points from the final hit(s) on Razoff. The general concept for this combo (triggering the Razoff sequence from OoB) was developed by 1234m. Note that it's possible to land multiple kill shots on Razoff if one spams the hit button when he's jumping sideways. Presumably, this is because Razoff cannot run away while his feet are still in the air. It's not uncommon to get a ...

Fairy Council, Part 3 - The 4-Matuvu-Combo

With this approach, all 4 Matuvus are worth 2.500 Combo-Points. Previously, the first Matuvu could only be gotten for 2.000. The mid-combo RSJ looks wild, but is surprisingly consistent once you get the hang of it.
Tower of the Leptys, Part 1 - The Hoodlum-Combo

I missed out on one of the full hit bonuses, a perfect score after this combo would be 25.920 Points.
Summit Beyond the Clouds, Part 1 - The Green-Gem-Combo
Переглядів 103Рік тому
It's possible to get the second Yellow Gem with a powerup as well, for a combo score of 9.980 Points.
Summit Beyond the Clouds, Part 1 - The Fish-Combo
Переглядів 130Рік тому
I've never thought of trying to jump off the ship mid-combo before. Turns out it can be pretty helpful! The highest possible combo score with this version should be 6.800. My apologies for the long period of nothing happening in the beginning, it only occured to me after the upload that I forgot to trim the video.
Tower of the Leptys, Part 1 - The Arena-Combo (Proof of Concept)

The combo is supposed to be played with the Lockjaw (which you can get to with a superjump), but I couldn't be bothered to get the Lockjaw on every recorded attempt. Relevant because of the Cage-PCM glitch, which lets you get the Heckler for 2.500 Points in Combo at the end (hence the random hit at the end, simply as proof that you can make it before the combo timer runs out).

I'm pretty sure this puts me on some kind of watch list, since this garbage is a crime against the whole Rayman community. But it yields more points than the alternative, so... worth.

jesus christ i remember struggling for hours with this part doing a combo thats way less tight than this...
Same 😛 At this point, new combos are basically just for show, the full version of this is hot garbage and borderline unplayable
legend is back! insane combo!
Thanks!
nice
No way thats possible
I wish it wasn't, this is horrible to play 😅
Just noticed that the combo "ran out" near the end, but kept the collectible streak going :v it happened to me 2 times and I thought im crazy
Yeah, that happens if you get another item the exact frame combo mode would run out
This is so ridiculously over the top flawless lmao
Combos like this one are just too perfect not to have been intended
I just cant get the twin inside the combo consistently... But im gonna get a lucky run at some point, just to have a bomber suicide himself later on 🥰
Jesus I gotta do this one now
no way
Nice :v
37:32 just casually landing on 58.041, are you kidding me???
At 37:45 you can see me double checking my LOTLD score, because I thought the run had died right there :P Idk if there's an issue with the spring or whatever, but my punch key seems to not be working properly, which is why I messed up the end of LOTLD1 (fist charge was interrupted despite my holding down the key). Normally, the final score should NOT be that close...
23:10 oh my god, it pisses me off how clever this idea is
You're welcome to steal it, Fluorineer Hundo runs when? :P
100% score 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥵
Fake category
I'm glad you are back, can you do a full game walkrhrough with the best combos you can easily do? I know that these combos are extremely difficult, so I'm thinking about you do combos that are good but also not that hard so you can posibbly do it at first. Even if you can't score the very best, that would be very good to watch, I'm curious about how much score can you do in a full game. You are a legend!
Might be worth doing as a future project, but no promises
5:40 saddest part btw insane combo keep up the good work!
UNREAL! What a legend, these super jumps and the one during the combo were just masterpieces. Hands down the best combo specialist in R3 history, no doubts. Wtf. Congrats!!
Thank you for your kind words! Glad you like it :-)
did someone say ultimate final combo? 😎
Sick combo! Nice to know that there are some people who do scoring videos. Greetings from Switzerland :-)
Crazy combo
banger
GG
Thanks!
he's alive? when did you start posting vids again?!?
Cringe not a real 100% run 😞 what a cringe category (good run tho)
I would love a "true" 100% category, but unfortunately, the fact that the game doesn't keep track of each individual level score makes true 100% really difficult to run/moderate. One of the main issues is that all levels have a cutoff for 100%, but (on PC at least) some levels don't have a level score screen to tell you if you succeeded. Point in case, the doctors' offices or the snowboarding part in SBTC. Murphy stamps/cages are easy to keep track of, which is why those requirements are more suitable for an official 100% speedrun category, even if it's not technically the true 100%.
aw yes, one step closer to the ultimate Razoff-Combo 😎
2:19Well done, how do you manage to reach the shoe and keep the combo of the points 2:19 I can never do it
You have to reload the level until you get an attempt where the shoe is close enough. There's no method or reason to it, it's pure RNG.
I will capture this type of experience in my game. No matter how long it takes to dev
very misleading title, this is obviously the "Ultimate Matuvu-Combo"
There's not enough R-rated turtle action going on in the background to warrant the use of "ultimate".
Huh? This is absolutely insane, flawless execution and skills! Amazing combo, but man, weren't you thinking of trying the HD version on PS3? This is the only version that doesn't stop the score counter after reaching 100k points, plus you can collect Green Gems for 12,000 or 15,000 of combo value. Also there exists an emulator called RPCS3 for PC that runs PS3 games, it may run Rayman 3 HD too. Incredible performance once again!
Thank you! :-) Looking into R3HD is something a couple of scoring people, myself included, thought about doing at some point. However, there are multiple reasons why we ultimately decided against it: 1.) Playing for a good score is unbearable. Sure, being limited to 100k points is annoying, but in some levels, it also means being able to still get the maximum score after making small mistakes and/or playing easier combos. You wouldn't have that leeway in R3HD, and acquiring good scores would require you to play combos which are so difficult/random that they are being avoided in the original R3. 2.) The levels which would benefit from having the score barrier removed don't really add to the scoring experience. Nowadays, most of the scoring people (once again, myself included) are more interested in theorycrafting combos and pushing the game to its *theoretical* limits than being interested in the practical limits and a massive total. There's a few instances where no limitations on Green Gems might be interesting, but it's a negligably small amount compared to the amount of combos which wouldn't change in any meaningful way. On top of that, out of the parts where you can't score in the original R3 because of the barrier (e.g. Clearleaf Forest parts 4, 5 and 6), not a single one of them has particularly interesting combos. 3.) Summit Beyond the Clouds part 3, which ruins R3HD for multiple reasons. There are ways to get an infinite amount of Kickflips, and you can probably see how that would be an issue with the points barrier removed. Not only does it make any other means of scoring in the Sumit meaningless, R3HD also cannot be competitive because of it. The one with the highest total score will simply be the player who was willing to spend more time doing kickflips with the snowboard. Most of us scorers may not be as interested in competing for scores as we used to be, but if we do compete, we'd want it to be on the basis of skill and creativity, not something as silly as an infinite loop. Could we come to a gentlemen's agreement to not use such tricks within our small group? Sure. But we can't very well force _everyone_ to abide by our arbitrary rules. Tl;dr: R3 is easier, the games are not different enough from each other to warrant playing R3HD over R3, and findings in R3 seem a lot more meaningful in the original.
Imagine trying to remember and perfect all these combos and to choose one of many. Then nailing it. Incredible combo and super precise .Great stuff!😎👏🙌🤩👊
Thanks!
at this point it's just magic xDDD
jesus thats tight. the cutscene mustve made going for this really annoying
Not really :-) getting the Matuvus is arguably the easier half of the combo, and failing the first half (the launching glitch especially) means that you won't have to sit through the cutscene, so it was alright.
Oh shit, Tmaz94 is back? good to see you still love rayman dude
Glad to see you’re still active! This combo looks tricky but it’s giving me inspiration to try to get a good score again. I’ve kinda forgotten all combos since I shifted to Any% speedrunning
I've kinda forgotten all combos even without shifting to speedrunning, so I get how you feel ;-) the more I look back on all these levels, the more it's coming back to me though, so I'm slowly getting there again.
Wow this combo looks insanely hard and frustrating to get.😎🤩👏👌🗿
It is ;-)
This is my favourite part of the game to score on. It played so differently than regular way to beat the parts.
Can you explain how killing the hoodlum thats tied to a baloon, score you? I remember leaving the game still not knowing that lol (I remember my best bet being it gives fixed 800 points or something. It was in snowy level 2)
Hoodlums on balloons are the same as normal hoodlums. If there's a regular Hoodblaster on a balloon, that's 100 points (plus 30 because balloon Hoodlums are always killed in one shot), if it's an Elite Monger like in this video, it's 250 points, and so on.
Im 99% sure I wouldve noticed a normal score increase. It was a really weird one-off. Didnt record that one sadly@@tmaz9474
God I absolutely low just how far this combo system can elevate even mediocre level design like here
I spent literally 3 hours straight before I got the green for 6k (I was going for 9k but something failed :skull:). Then another hour more and got for 9k :v the goddamned jump felt so inconsistent
Amazing combo !! You made it look easy nice.👌😎👏🤩
Legend is back
Your score went past 100000 before the combo score got added. I thought you need to get the combo added before 100k?
The x2 bonus gets added still. Since the last item is a Yellow Gem, you can go 10 Points over 99.999. If it was a Red Gem, you could go 30 over, etc.
hey if youd like to check out a different spin on r3 scoring, consider checking out my newest video (it shows an optimal scoring path for my games first demo level)
LETS GO YES
Incredible!!
