What annoys me about this video is that they mostly refer to the German army as “the Nazis”. Those are not synonyms.

A good officer would be with his men if he could. Even Major Winters would have preferred to be on the line. Because Winters had been promoted to company commander, he had to stay behind the front lines.

Easy Company had about 120- 140 men. So losing 65 was a major loss.

The Nazis didn’t succeed in their world conquest, but WW2 was still the final nail in the coffin for Europe. The nations would never recover to their prewar state, and their unity and culture was destroyed forever

You have to watch this in the context of the 1900-1940's cultural norms. You are making commentary using "Presentism". The father is broken from WWI. He is who he is and in the world he lives. Take a step back and asks any living from that era and understand parenting is not today's soft parenting. .There is a reason this is the greatest generation. Remember it is just a matter of time before a real draft includes women and with the strong push by feminists.. you all will finally see what war looks like in the trenches in mass. Not just a few women who meet the above standard. Carry your 180lbs mate on your back and run. Do it 75 times.

The MG42 is so feared that allied commanders produced traini.g films for soldiers to get used to being shot at by the Mg42 and only to attack when the germans are reloading or changing barrels

9:10 Aushwitz. Over 1M only jewish killed. I'm calculate just to imagine if collect 1 million bodies 50kg(110 lb) each (not only adults was captured and low weight due starvation) in one place you get pile of dead bodies over 81ft (24.5meters, 8-9 store building) height. And those bodies can more than 4 times fill volume of Elizabeth Tower (aka Big Ben) up to the roof. And from all fallen in WWII bodies can be collected pile comparable with Great Pyramid of Giza. P.S.: 16:54 Every 5th or 6th(16.7-19.8%) Polish citizen and (almost) every 6th(16.2-17.1%) Soviet citizen has die due WW2(about half of Belarusians and almost 20% of Ukrainians was wiped out by Germans)

And one thing that us men know... It all depends on if the woman is attracted to you and that will determine if you are creepy in her eyes or not even though most men are creepy It's just that women think every goddamn thing is creepy today and the list gets longer every single day.. It's straight up pathetic. But of course it's all nice and lovey dovey because of who the guy is but change it to a guy who the girl isn't attracted to... And then she's calling the cops and a bunch of false allegations and yeah I'll stop talking because I'm getting too real 😂

First RESPECTFULLY I want to say I am a combat veteran and to say that killing in war is murder might be wrong in that in WW II the Germans gassed six million Jews and the rest of the world for the most part joined in fighting that. Not murder I don't think and unless a person has been in war I at least don't think they should be judged but helped maybe. Thank you for this and God bless you.

I know I'm a month late to the party, but wanted to tell my uncle's story. Milo was in this battle, outside St. Vith. He was the sergeant of a heavy machine gun squad (like Smokey). On December 16th, he and his squad were cut off and encircled during the first push of the battle. They evaded behind enemy lines in the snow and woods until December 24th. On the 24th, some German soldiers came across them and the squad was separated. Milo went on alone, and managed to reach friendly lines that same day. He hooked up with a group of men he didn't know and an officer, turned around, and went right back into the battle (not happily, mind you). He was eventually evacuated to a field hospital with trenchfoot and frostibitten feet. He wrote about that experience when he got home, and I still have the typewritten pages with his handwritten copyright. He has passed now, of course, but I like to tell his story because as long as people are thinking of you, you're not really gone.
