Hi..please can u interview someone from (AUB)American university of barbados
I have currently applied to AUA , hope it a good school because I have read people talk bad about the school, I am from Ghana, hope Ghanaians are there
Hi Francisca, I got accepted too. I'm from Ghana 🇬🇭 and currently I don't know how to go about it
Waa it schiol policy to learn intimate exams practicing in anesthetized patients in 3rd year clerkships
Hi could you tell the passing grade for comp exam, would it still be 70%? Also why you chose MUA and not AUA?
St. George University allegedly is allegedly running a criminal enterprise of money laundering. It is ripping students off. Compared to all other medical schools in the Caribbean and Central America, it is the most expensive. They are accepting and graduating (breading) medical students as RABBITS. The quality of education is no better than any other school. The attrition rate (dropout) is 30% to 35% as per SGU students, but SGU lies and states the attrition rate is only 10%. The focus remains not on learning but on memorization to pass the USMLEs. The majority of students who graduate from St. Georges are not very smart as they were rejected from US medical schools in the first place. Together with a focus on incompetent nurse practitioners and foreign medical graduates, the healthcare system in the United States is doomed. St. Georges does not care about students or alumni. They are just another number, suckers, and free money in the eyes of Chancellor Charles Modica, who uses students, alumni, and their money for his luxuries. ua-cam.com/video/TkMJul2-cHE/v-deo.html St. Georges allegedly bribes officials at various hospitals in the USA offers them free trips, and then donates up to a million dollars to develop affiliations, e.g., at Jersey Shore University Hospital, Neptune, NJ. THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE IS NOTHING BUT A TELEMARKETING COMPANY, WHERE THE SO-CALLED ADMISSIONS OFFICERS (in reality salesmen and saleswomen) keep harassing individual students to sign up. The admissions criterion is not universal and depends on which country the student is from. The admissions office tries to recruit students mostly from the USA because of the Federal student loans the students can get. It's almost $100,000 per year ($500,000 over 4 to 5 years), once you add tuition, housing, meals, travel, etc., etc. It's allegedly a money-making scheme for the Italian Mafia and their money laundering enterprise at St. Georges. SGU does not provide adequate student support such as mental health support, SGU uses upper-level students to provide support. Anatomy lab is a joke as unlike US medical schools, students are not allowed to do any dissection, instead, dissection is done by TAs or lab assistants and structures labeled for students to watch and memorize for the tests, which is the worst way to learn human anatomy. You can learn better anatomy by watching videos. Stay away from this so-called alleged criminal enterprise. Look at other Caribbean Medical Schools for less than half the price of St. George and by the time you are done with school you will have saved over $200,000 in tuition and that will pay a significant amount for a down payment for your new house as you get started in your new professional career. The Justice Department and all Attorney Generals need to investigate and shut down this criminal enterprise. Consider other schools, save tons of money, and make an educated decision: 1) American University of the Caribbean - St. Maarten 2) Saba University - Saba Island 3) Ross University - Barbados 4) Caribbean Medical University - Curacao 5) American University of Antigua - Antigua 6) Xavier University - Aruba 7) St. James University - Antigua
I wonder if International students would be required to submit MCAT scores. It says not on their website but I'm not so sure.
No you don't need the MCAT as an international student
hey, loving the videos! what music do you use here? would love to study to it (:

Great video ever.. very truth-full. I have an interview next month with Ross

I did my first semester online and it sucked. I am glad I didn't make the move to the island. I got tucked into going by a doctor I worked for but he graduated when the school was in Dominica. I heard about the centipedes and that didn't bother me, however, the fact of commuting daily to a campus in downtown that is half a government building doesn't sound good. If I was going to live on the island I need walking distance. I also didn't like that I was offered a scholarship and in the end nothing. The professors had strong accents and some were pretty much incomprehensible even in slow motion. Some people didn't even watch the lecture because of that. The class was huge at one point with 600 students. I also think the school was more interested in making money out of students than in your education in the sense that they are super encouraging in the recruiting process but once you are in, you are on your own. I also had a big screen when taking my exam and I was flagged because I was moving my head and my eyes too much. The minis were incredibly hard and the material was not right from the PowerPoint, in fact, a lot of people used Anki to just focus on questions that would show up since I think most of the questions are out of past tests that people got wrong. It is not about the material is about detail and tricky parts of the lectures, so very well said in the video. At the end of the 2 years, you may be assigned to a site where no US graduate would do clinicals. The doctor I worked for said he was in Miami in a Haitian area and it was super ghetto. He is currently working in an urgent care replacing a nurse practitioner. So I think at the end you're going to a 2 year adventure on an island (3rd world country) to come to do clinicals at the ghetto in the US and if you don't get a super score on the steps forget about residency and your stuck with a fat 250K debt that you need to pay regardless. If your lucky to become a doctor then you will end up suffering the stigma of coming to the US as a foreign graduate and most likely will end up filling the gaps of nurse practitioners and physician assistants. I love your honesty!
Helo. Скажите у вас. Есть в университете стоматологическая школа?
This is very inspiring.thank u so much

I just had my interview and it looks like a choice between this and st James What is your recommendation?
Both are pretty decent options with their pros and cons. MUA has more popularity and have been around for longer. On the other hand, St James is on the cheaper side and considerably more affordable. So if you have the money, perhaps MUA might be better for you. If not, St James is also decent
Thanks for sharing a slice on your life!

do you have a gpa and mcat you would recommend?
please I applied for the school and I was told I will be interviewed. please can you give me a brief of the interview or how it will go because is my first time
I think The interviews are generally easy going and straightforward. Just have answer to questions like Why medicine, Why AUA, strengths, weaknesses etc and you’ll be fine. You can also check on Google for common interview questions
I'm currently a 3rd year student at Saint James School of Medicine. This school offers low cost tuition compared to other medical schools. That being said, they do the bare minimum at most. Clinical rotations are limited, financial department is very inconsistent, and delayed releasing of test/course scores (by weeks) are very common. Saint James does not help students setup external rotations, does not participate in any federal student loans. As of recent, when you start clinicals (which are the last 2 years of your schooling) SJSM expects you to pay 2 semesters in advance... yes, you heard right... I'm in my 3rd semester of clinicals and I've just been billed for my 5th semester. If you don't pay in advance, then your account is place on hold and you do not advance. It's been very rough on some students. So if you are okay with the idea of self-taught medical school at a fast pace, then this might be the school for you. If you're really looking for professors and staff that go above and beyond for their students, this is most definitely not that type of school. I'm happy with the academic/career choices that I've made; however, I wish I had accurate information before making my decision. Hopefully this helps both the viewers with additional perspective, and perhaps SJSM with taking some accountability. Good luck to all those looking to start their medical careers!
Thanks a lot for your comprehensive feedback
