something i really miss from boneworks was the atmosphere bonelab has a couple moments but even those come no where close to boneworks the grey skies sombre tone huge scale that made you feel tiny and insignificant all acompanied by the beautifully crafted soundtrack that really makes you feel alone lost in some otherworldly place. walking up the stairs to central station or entering the main room of tower and looking up this impossibly tall structure you've spent the whole game trying to reach it fills me with a mix of nostalgia dread and wonder that no game has ever given me the pleasure of experiencing. I hope SLZ can make something that lives up to my love for boneworks.

I think the biggest blow to game chat came in the recent CoD game "Modern Warfare II" with AI moderated voice chat. My cross-platform buddies and I often talk politics and the ridiculous stuff happening in the world, so we'd frequently receive comms bans from the AI hearing what we said. 99% of the time we kept it to ourselves during actual matches of DMZ. Hearing that other games like GTA6 adopting this is rather scary for those who enjoy meeting/trash talking new people in game chat.
