Bravo john octavio
Thanks. Just opened your card. Thanks.
Absolutely love this video. I would take a low pop HOFer from the pre-war any day over a PSA 10 modern card. Trying to build a low pop vintage collection myself, so I really appreciate your collection and knowledge. Keep it going.
@@dleiphart12 thanks!
Great stuff as always, John . I actually do have the 1974 Johnny pro Phillies set. So at least I can claim that victory. Thanks for sharing.
@@rjcollectssets1839 nice
So agree with you. I spend my money on cards not plastic. Cheers.
Really appreciate seeing the progression of his career from team to team. Pirates, Reds, A's was such a great era watching him as a fan
Great interview Mr. President!
Thanks
So many incredible cards ❤️👊🤙🤙
Thanks Dylan.
Nice Kareem RC John, and with your attention to detail I’m surprised you didn’t mention it’s unlicensed…plain Jersey. I’m not a fan of comparing players from different eras but similar to Wilt, Kareem mainly operated within 5 feet of the basket. Like a lot of big men today, LeBron plays from all points on the court which makes him pretty remarkable, maybe more like Jordan but a lot different physically. All were great players for sure! And then there’s Pistol Pete, I love his RC too.
I just figure all basketball collectors know those early sets are unlicensed. I don’t like to repeat common knowledge every time I show those cards. I figure petiole find it too elementary.
Fantastic Cards John! Trouppe also caught for the 1935 Bismarck Churchills mixed race team, that won the 1935 Semi-Pro Championship in Kansas City. Others on the Bismarck team included Satchell Paige, Double Duty Radcliffe and Hilton Smith.
Nice
Thanks for showing ,your rare food issues plus the short stories you know that goes along with each piece you show very interesting.
Thanks for looking and listening to them.
Amazing cards John! I appreciate the trigger warning even though I didn’t get triggered
Haha thanks Sammy.
Great cards John! That Wagner post card is very cool! I also love that Roger’s Hornsby, that is a fantastic looking card!
Thanks. I love them too!
Dude I love that John McGraw
I do too!
The only thing I can say is WOW!! Simply amazing!!!
Thanks!
You don't need to thank me. I need to thank you for sharing your amazing collection with everyone on youtube. THANK YOU!!
Love this stuff and you beat me to the punch on making a video about this. Why does 'top' mean most valuable? There are many cards I value and would put in my top 25 that are not among my 25 most valuable.
PS I need a to add a Ramly in 2025.
I agree. Seems like a flex or something. Unfortunately the modern hobby is about number on flips and value. I’ve been very disheartened recently. When I see people calling out numbers and critiquing every tiny detail about each card for 2 minutes and justifying why they love a card in a lower grade it makes me want to go back to collecting in obscurity.
Love 'em, very cool Quincy Trouppe-- an underrated Negro Leaguer, I hadn't seen a playing days card of him before (only in my Larry Fritsch set).
Martin Dihigo was really really good. In so many Halls. Cool that you have those cards. You have so many not-top 50s. Thx for sharing.
Good job Mr. President!
Thanks
I like the oversized stuff. They are sometimes hard to store. How do you go about doing it? In fact, how do you store all of your cards? Thanks for sharing John, awesome stuff!
I store the exhibit and post card size cards in the small BCW graded card boxes and lay them flat inside. For the bigger items I get larger shoe boxes or the bigger square boxes at hobby lobby. It’s really no problem. I just store them flat rather than standing up.
Nice top 50!
Thanks Rick. Some cool oddball cards! lol
Amazing cards and thanks for not focusing on price. Those videos are self-indulgent and frankly not others peoples business in my opinion. This is a hobby centered around collecting cards we love, not an investing club. Even if it were I might be interested in the stocks you own and are looking to buy but I’d never ask how many shares of each you own and what your portfolio is worth. Sorry for the rant but this irks me a bit
I completely agree with you.
Super video. Just love those cards 😊
Thanks
Drew Brees has the record for I believe most 500 yard passing games, 400 yard passing games too. I was a Colts fan (Indianapolis) as a kid, and Peyton Manning, was my guy. I hated Brees for many years after that Super Bowl, where the Saints won. Lol. I Now I am a Ravens fan, though. Lamar Jackson converted me.
Loved all of the rarities, John. Just a quick note because I thought I recognized the Honus Wagner "World Series" postcard that you mentioned. You might already know this but it was actually a 1909 Pirates team accordion style issue put out by the Pittsburgh Chronicle Telegraph in 1909 and was part of an 11 individual player panels, including HOF'ers: Clarke, Willis & Wagner, Very similar issue to the 1908 Our Home Team fold-out postcard sets that included Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis and a couple of others.
Yes I have the full post card complete set except the team card. They are together perforated and so are fragile and most separated. I have a few still attached.
Wow ... simply fantastic!
Thanks
Thanks for sharing John. Your collection and knowledge of these cards are second to none! Awesome stuff.
Appreciate it!
I love it! Of course it’s fun watching all these top card countdowns but I wish it were less geared towards value and more towards most meaningful cards in the collection or even maybe a top pick ups of the year.
Yea me too.
Wow, just wow!
Not a lot in that video I was previously familiar with, so glad I watched it. The Campanella and first Mantle were my favs. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching.
Your trigger warning didn’t work. It made me want to watch even more. Mind blowing group of cards and information.
Best non top 50 count down I've ever seen. Your awesome Magic, lol. Peace out
Haha thanks
Thank you for showing the Negro league player cards, they are the first that I have ever seen.
Some serious stunners on display, I always see something new over here.... Thanks man!
Nice. Thanks
Dang John!! I have my thumbnail designed and everything for the same video. Haha. People gonna think I stole your idea. Mine won’t be as cool and scarce as yours, but same idea. 😢
Great minds my friend.
@@MrJmanginiI’m winking in my picture on the thumbnail and had my daughter trying to put a twinkle on the wink in order to insure everyone knew it was sarcasm like yours last night.
When you posting it?
@ usually Tuesday night or Wednesday morning
Hi John. Thanks for sharing some unbelievable beautiful cards. Talk soon my friend.
Thanks for always looking at them.
Fabulous! What is the pop count on the Magic?(j/k) Those 46-47 Caramelo Deportivos are amazing. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
What’s a pop count? You mean how many Willie Stargell cards I have?
@ touché!
Thanks for the trigger warning. I like the Bender Ramly though. Looks great in the Beckett holder...
Beautiful Kareem rookie, John. Buy the card, not the grade, right?
Thanks
Gave a video like. Always love seeing those beauties. Martin Dihigo cards are fantastic. Love George Sisler too. Born and raised in Ohio and ended career with .340 AVG. Lots of great cards here, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching it.
Some incredible cards John. Thanks for sharing
Thanks
Thanks, John. Such great cards. I'm entered!!
That super rare 1981 Topps Magic is amazing! Only 78 if them ever made inside a PSA slab!!! I looked through my PC and only saw one in a PSA 7. I was embarrassed and just threw it in the trash.
Don’t worry. You can buy mine. You need my PayPal?
@@MrJmangini I think I will pass. It doesn't have the PWCC E sticker for eye appeal. I need a company to verify that for me since I am just an amateur in the hobby.
@ one of the original hobby scammers will give it a good sticker if you pay him. He’s now well respected.
I mistakenly asked for holders for Cracker Jacks cards thinking they wer large cards. I have literally never seen one in person. For some reason, the weird size on ebay photos. Made them look bigger to me.
Haha yea they are actually smaller.
My therapy dog passed out from trauma while we watched this. Fortunately, my therapy pony had a much stronger upbringing. While I couldn't see most of the cards from the fetal position, I was in a safe enough space to hear how each card was worthy of Mangini Collection.
I’m watching my daughter’s dog and it keeps whining when I’m out of sight. I told my wife we need a service dog for the service dog.
Tremendous selection of amazing cards. Thanks for showing these gems!
Thanks Dan
EACH one of your videos cost me AT LEAST $100. You inspire me to find old cool cards. Although I look for versions that might gade a 000.01 inauthentic
Haha sorry!
Thanks for sharing, John. Nice, scarce, rare vintage cards.
Thanks
I was hoping someone would make a video on "My 25 Most Worthless Cards." This is not that, but your title brought the idea back to mind.
That was actually my original idea but O thought it would probably offend more people than this one lol
Awesome not too 50 cards with humor 😂 showcase 😊
Thanks
