In the 11s, 5 Star tuned Crew-cab 4x4 5.0 0-60 & 1/4 mile
Hit a new personal best on the dragy in the cold morning weather. Truck hasn’t changed much since previous PB other than a slightly different wheel/tire combo and a bit more weight reduction and decided to run the 5 Star tune.
Specs:

Ported Boss Manifold
90mm BBK Throttle Body
Ram Air intake
2M Headers with high flow cats
170* Thermostat
Granatelli Ignition coils
5 Star E85 tune wraps it all up
Didn’t go too crazy on the weight reduction but I removed the seats, spare, and tailgate.

Decided to try out the AML tune and hit a new personal best, I did take out the rear and passenger seats along with the spare tire to help with Weight reduction. I did hit a 12.18 @ 113.66 with the 5 star tune with this setup so they are pretty close, for some reason I have an issue with the 5 Star bogging on launches which is what’s slowing my launch, but with the AML tune it launches hard wit...

What air pressure have you found to be best on your runs? Air'd down or closer to max?
I just put a Boss Intake on my truck, non ported. So now it has JLT CAI, 2MFAB Y PIPE, 5 Star e85 tune and the Boss. Going to see if I can improve on my 4.87 zero to sixty and 8.57 1/8th. Not sure what I will do next, maybe the BBK. I think I would rather do gears since I have a 6 speed with much higher ratios. I would have to run 3.73s just to equal the 10 speed and 3.31s for 1st gear FDR. Slow 60ft and slow 0-30 is what is hurting my truck most. That is the one thing I miss about the Ecoboost, those rediculous holeshots.
How is the fit and finish of the tailgate spoiler? You still have it on there? Goes on top of the oem, right?
Hey Louis! On this video you ran a 12.7 and on the previous run you ran a 13.2. Weather was not much better on the 12.7, and the only apparent change was that you went from the GT manifold to the Boss. What else changed? Boss manifold isn't .5 quicker than the GT. Did you also have a tire size change here?
I went back and it looks like the only difference would be the wheels and tires. On the 13.2 run I had a 275/65/18 on the stock 18 inch wheels while the other run I had a 245/70/17 on the stock 17 inch wheels.
@louismarquez5346 makes sense. Thanks for letting me know. I have a Boss intake coming from 5 Star, non ported. I will be running the stock TB for now. I recently ran a 4.87 0-60 and a 8.57 1/8th, I believe 1031 DA. Waiting for cold weather to do full quarter mile runs, no sense in beating up this salvage yard motor too much until it will really do something. My truck intake is really noisy, something wrong with the IMRC. If I unplug it, motor gets quiet. New Boss will take care of that and make some more powa. And I plan on throwing some 17s with 29 inch diameter tires on for some good ets. But for now, everything has been on my 20s. I have to borrow 17s from the guy I sold them too...lol.
Well I just ran a personal best with my 2016 CCSB F150 4X4 with the gen 2 Coyote and 6 speed. This is the Coyote swapped truck after I blew the 2.7 up at 228K. 162K on the Coyote. Only mods are 5 Star e85 tune (e68 in tank), JLT CAI, 2MFAB Y PIPE and custom 3 inch single exhaust, Velossa Tech big mouths, Mishimoto radiator, Ford Performance LSD and 20x9 Black Rhino Madagascar wheels with heavy 295/45R20 NITTO 420V tires. Did a 4.87 zero to sixty full weight minus spare. Airbag light is on still but the front seat is in it, still an ongoing issue from the swap, airbag computer not linking up to ECM PCM.

I dropped the 5 star tune for an omegax tune for my 2018 f150 xlt 5.0 with ported oem tb and intake, 3.5 high flo cats and catback and cai. My truck hit 11.3 in 1/4 @ 113.2 mph 0-60 in 4.8 Omegax is the better tune.
105 in 4th gear in a 10 speed!?!?

I can't remember if I told you I blew lil2.7 up at 228K. Long story short, I think it was lean but could just be that 200whp per liter on a wore out motor was a ticking time bomb. I just did a Coyote swap in my truck, 2nd gen Yote. Since my truck is a 2016 I figured less compatibility issues. For now I had to do a 150K salvage yard setup. Its up and running but I have some computers that need to be linked to the new ecu and bcm. So working out a few bugs. Have a Ford dealership appointment next monday.

Yes I daily the truck with the ram air and with a filter of course, It doesn’t rain much where I live but when it does, I try to drive slow or avoid using the truck if it’s raining hard.

@@jamesdowless1465 honestly I couldn’t tell so I’m not sure their worth it since the stock ones are fine. I just got them because I wanted to maximize my power. I believe granatelli claims it can improve hp in the single digits or even more.

At 225,xxx miles I installed CRP stage 3 turbos on my truck and at 227,xxx miles I bought a tune from a new tuner, shorty thereafter it pulled the wrist pin out of a piston skirt and then shoved it through the block. So now I ponder whats next for my truck. My truck is a 2016, pre port injectors and pre 10r80. But I am considering selling all of my aftermarket 2.7 performance parts and doing an 18-20 Coyote swap. There are things I will have to figure out such as will the engine wiring harness correctly connect and function on my truck, will a 18-20 instrument cluster with the 10 speed indicator swap right in and various different things. It may have to be a 15-17 5.0 swap? I really want the port injectors and would like the 10 speed. If I do go to the Coyote, it will be all stock except for a tune for a while, go fast parts will take time. And I may just get another 2.7 motor and drop it in , but hey I love the Coyote. It would definitely be a sound improvement.
