Flat-Earth Nut MrThriveAndSurvive Questions NASA's "Blue Marble".
As I was uploading a video responding to MrThriveAndSurvive's latest foray into Crazy, he was uploading an addendum to his video. He asks questions, so I thought I would provide some answers. :-P

MrThriveAndSurvive vs. NASA "Earthrise"

In the latest installment on MrThriveAndSurvive's comedy Flat-Earth UA-cam channel, MrThriveAndSurvive demonstrates (again) that he doesn't know what "North" means. Also, he can't draw a circle for shit. Richard Feynman Lecture -- "Los Alamos From Below"
Переглядів 1,3 млн8 років тому
There are quite a few copies of this Feynman lecture floating around out there, but most end prior to the question from the audience. After the lecture, a guy in the audience asks Feynman about his safe-cracking stories and Feynman goes on for about another ten minutes relating three different stories on his safe-cracking while at Los Alamos National Laboratories. Enjoy!

Regarding the sources of error in ancient measurements and the use of sextants and gnomons, in particular with regard to Eratosthenes and the measurement of the Earth's circumference: You will find all of these covered in reasonable detail in undergraduate astronomy textbooks. GLOBEBUSTER'S Wonky Flat-Earth Solar Eclipse (Addendum)

This is an addendum to the last video I made, which was a response to a GLOBEBUSTERS video (links below). This is all strictly as a layman attempting to see if the predicted diameter of the shadow cast by the Moon onto the Earth's surface corresponds to the co...

This is a response to part of the content in Bob's GLOBEBUSTERS video at the link below. The GLOBEBUSTERS video was based on a video by Flat Earth Consequences, so I'll link that video as well. The GLOBEBUSTERS video was a 3 hour livestream. This video is response to the solar eclipse material only. As I state in the video, surely even lunatics can agree on the basic properties of shadows? I've considered doing a short video on Eratosthenes, the purported subject of Jeranism's video here. I say "purported" because there is very little regarding Eratosthenes in Jeranism's video. Just looking at the photograph Flat-Earthers most commonly use to push their Flat Earth lunacy. Jeranism used the photograph in a video back in May, 2015 shortly after it appeared in a television weather broadcast. 200 Photographs of the Earth from Apollo 11-17 Missions

There is no shortage of nitwits on UA-cam who think the Earth is flat and/or that the Apollo Moon landings were faked. At some point, one of these twats, likely Eric DuBay or Jeranism, declared that only one picture of the Earth from deep space exists and this one picture is a fake or a composite image. From that moment on, all the other flat-Earth douche-bags parroted the meme. You would think...
How "Big" Does / Should the Moon / Sun / Earth (from the Moon) Appear to Look in the Sky?
Переглядів 1,8 тис.9 років тому
I often hear people say the Moon or Sun appears as big as their thumb, or that this or that object on a horizon is not the right size. This sort of statement is wrong for two reasons: (1) The object in question invariably "looks" smaller than the person thinks, and (2) It's meaningless to say the Sun or Moon looks as big as your finger or thumb without specifying the distance from the eye that ...

If you think through his story about placing his wife’s clothes on the upper bunk in the men’s dorms you realize the governing board were worried that Feynman was cheating on his wife, so banned women from the men’s dorm 😅 “someone is sleeping with one of the guys”- but they surely knew it was him.

Lets make jokes about killing a bunch of random civilians and making everywhere radioactive. Feynman didnt give two fucks when "helping/dropping" the bomb. Why did Oppenheimer get blamed for the atomic bomb and not Niels Bohr? Bohr's was technically the one who split the atom in half by heating up an uranium ore. Bohrs and his colleagues didnt even know what happened til Lise Mietner had to explain to them how they split the atom by fisson. Granted Borh did help jewish scientists flee europe he also was getting money out of the deal since they started working for the u.s. gov. They took people like Feynman who didnt even have a degree that would take on the project to become a "legend in modern physics". They already knew they needed uranium 235 with plutonium 239 due to the isotopes(they knew isotopes meant radioactivity because of the uneven number of protons to neutrons)and a shell casing of beryllium since that's radioactive so it would set off a chemical bomb making the uranium heat up and explode since you are "cutting" an atom in half once the beryllium is activated. Essentially on a small scale you are making a battery. From the beginning to the end of it, Borhs was always around just never worked on it but told them how to make it. He got 2 Noble prizes for quantum theory and atomic structure. While Oppenheimer got the blame. Then feynman gets a noble prize lol. Why did we drop the bomb? There was no need to since hitler was already dead by that time. The U.S. gov wanted to become a power nation. They weren't scared of the nazis making an atomic bomb. Heisenberg stayed in Germany to try to make an atomic bomb but he ran out of time once Hitler wanted to invade Russia then killed himself. Everyone in the Manhattan project ruined physics as a whole and now it's become bullshit theoretical ideas that they know noone can prove like parallel universe, multiuniverse, string theory etc. We had dipshit Stephen hawking's who didn't know shit to now Neil degrasse tyson, Brian green, etc. I feel like our government purposely hand selected people for the manhattan project because they knew once the bomb was dropped physics would change forever because before everyone shared their ideas and go to conferences. Our gov put a stop to that because we wanted power. That's why after the war we split up the nazi scientists with russia. Feynman was good at grabbing attention. Feynman couldnt grasp the concept of how magnets work. They work from electrons being in alignment to electrons spinning in the same direction causing a magnetic force. He made up quantum electrodynamics when its bullshit. Everyone who made it up was people from the Manhattan project. All of the 29 original founders of quantum mechanics wanted nothing to do with it because they knew it was bullshit. Electrodynamics cant be real if it was then we would have a 5th force instead of the 4 forces of nature we know of making quantum mechanics/physics change everything. Also when going down to the 12th decimal point the math becomes incorrect. QED is basically the opposite to electromagnetism. He doesn't know how magnets work but was able to find a 5th force which is the opposite of electromagnetism. Feynman was great at teaching simple ideas to people with little background of chemistry, physics, and mathematics. He is an overhyped physicist that helped destroy physics for his own fame.

I am very disappointed as I learnt he was involved in making the atomic bomb. He deluded himself that he had a ‘social conscience’. You don’t contribute to making a bomb for the sake of peace. He, too, was uselessly intelligent like most, if not all, scientists in any given period.

This reminds me of working Inventory Control for a giant warehouse when I was 16 at my Dad's company. There was an office inside the warehouse dating from the 1950s, and ancient desks nobody had keys to. Using paperclips in my spare time, I opened Everyone's drawers to reveal ancient stuff. It was fun for us all. These folks had been sitting at these old desks they could never open! I went a step further, and fashioned paperclip keys with a bit of tape for each desk. I was their Hero. I also scared the Hell out of them, that this stupid kid could pick any lock and gave them keys that I made for each one. Good times. My Dad was the CFO for the company, after all. And a Captain in the US Army. I've always loved Feynman, never heard this story before. He was picking locks before I was born. It's so easy.
