The pools and hot tubs were unbelievably small for how huge the ship is. Everything else was nice.

My family and I were on the Venezia in August....We LOVED it!!

Its not a typical carnival ship ,so no ,and Carnival Markets to a undesirable group

Hi....I prefer the Carnival Panorama to the Firenze. On my cruise the roof was closed in the Lido area. While it was cool outside, it was hot a muggy inside. And also, the music was very loud and boomy with the roof closed. We always love Carnival and the funship vibe, but because of the acoustics, it didn't really work on the Lido deck. Also, I much prefer the Pig and Anchor buffet that the Panorama has on deck 5 vs. La Strada Grill. But that is just a personal food preference. The décor around the ship was beautiful. On the Panorama, we stayed in a Havana cabin which is equivalent to the Terrazza cabin on the Firenze. I can't recommend these cabins enough. I loved the exclusive area which was always half full or less (even on sea days), and our own private outdoor bar. Also got really personal bar service. We met so many nice people and had a great time in that area of the ship. It is well worth the extra money. So I don't love or hate the Firenze, I just prefer the Panorama. With regard to the lifejacket demo, when I was on Valor last year, the crew member asked if we were comfortable with putting it on. We were outside on the promenade deck. My best friend, who hadn't been on a cruise in 6 years, said yes. The crew member said we were free to go. So I feel it depends on the ship and/or the travel party as to whether or not they do the demo.

I'll go on my first cruise ever, and solo, on October 12th (2024) with Discovery Princess to Mexico. My 2 favourite of your 10 reasons are 3 - introspection and self discovery and 10 - personal empowerment.

I tried the Firenze, I like the Panorama and the Radiance better personally. Did like the greenery and Serenity tho.🎉

Can you go in that area for solo travelers if you are solo but not staying in a Solo Studio?

Those pools are so small with so many people in them... thats absolutely miserable.

I am booked on this ship for a 7 night cruise to Bermuda September 27th. I have only done one other Carnival cruise but I enjoyed it. We typically cruise Princess or HAL. I tried Carnival for the first time last fall just to do something different.

Absolutely correct on the small upgrades needed. On her last May and could not be more in line with you. SHOWER HEAD, PLEASE!

I love Discovery Princess.

I've gone on 25+ Princess cruises and got really tired of them taking away the special things that I used to get: free limited internet is now 1/2 price for unlimited, loyalty OBC is gone, free shipping of medallions is now $10 unless you buy an overpriced Premium package. There's more, but I am now looking at Viking. All the things that Princess used to include are still included on Viking and a lot more. I did a price comparison for a balcony on Princess vs. Viking and the price was very comparable.

Ugh! Will be in 5242 next week! I sleep light, hope the problem is solved!

My friends said that ship was the worst cruise they been on water didn't work in the bathroom the food was nasty.

When I was in a solo cabin on the Epic in January 2024, my keycard wouldn't let me into the solo lounge. I went to guest services and they couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work. I even asked my room steward and he couldn't figure it out. The few times I tried to get in, I could see people inside but they wouldn't let me in when I knocked on the door. They just stared at me and laughed. I'm not sure if it was because they didn't know I was a fellow solo passenger or what but I felt it was rude. The entire solo lounge thing felt like a rip off. What's the point of paying extra to have a solo lounge if I can't use it? I would rather pay less, get a normal size cabin (my solo cabin was way too small) and then go to the solo meetups at a local bar. Which is exactly what I'm going to do on my Jewel cruise this coming December.

The Carnival Venezia is, for me, at least in the top 3 of Carnival Cruise Line ships 🛳️ 9/10 would definitely recommend

Feb 2025, out of Port Canaveral. 7 day East Caribbean cruise. This will be our first on the new Italian themed ships (Venezia in our case).

The ramp up to the ship is steep. There’s an elevator tucked in the back.

I sailed on the Firenze, the pig and anchor made me sick. I couldn’t enjoy the steakhouse because I was busy vomiting.

Excellent video and tour. After seeing the demographics point of the N Y area that is a real concern of mine. I appreciate the honesty in your tour. I was expecting a 10 day cruise that would be far different than the Carnival 4/5 day cruise. I think the average Carnival traveler was clearly not expecting the up level feel of the Venezia.

Epic leaves from Florida? I thought they went out of a European port.

I appreciate the video. I'm doing a 10 day on the Venezia in late October out of NY.

The change in Long Beach from emphasizing either 3 and 4 night or 7 night itineraries to those of 5 and 6 nights has me puzzled. It was formerly easy to differentiate the "booze" cruisers to "family" ones, but now the whole Mexican Riviera experience is turned on its head. Likewise shore excursions based primarily out of Cabo do not compare well to those at Mazatlan or Puerto Vallarta. I am scratching my head when deciding which type of cruise carries the greatest value, especially now that Panorama is cast zanily into the mix of both newer and older ships. I wonder how Carnival came up with this cockeyed formula, and why. Of course I can easily book out of LA or San Diego on other lines, but I prefer Carnival.
