Instead of buying nichrome wire or any other type of resistance wire, another cheap source is just too cut out the element from a broken hairdryer. That’s what I did and to get 2.5 or 3 ohms.m, I measured that I needed about 15 to 20 cm of wire, worked fine. I used long enough so that the wire glowed a dull red when powered!

That is pretty neat. Once I have enough space, I will be building a bigger oven too. I was thinking about using Infrared heaters instead of oven heaters though, since they are dirt cheap and easily available here.

I made mine out of a Ball Jar and drilled the 4 holes in the lid only. The Ball jar is what your wife uses to can food in for the winter. It should seal really well and is super cheap to replace if it breaks. You can also see thru the glass jar and see what is going on inside real easy. I used JB weld to glue the air line fittings into the thin ball jar lid and used insulated banana jacks to carry the power thru the lid. The only thing I had to buy was the 22 gauge Nichrome wire from Amazon for about 9 bucks. I know I have a vacuum leak at the rear end of my engine somewhere. hoping it's not the intake manifold gaskets, but we will see. Great video! You might mention that some cars may have a couple of one way valves in the vacuum line between say the brake booster/evap system/ and the intake manifold, so you would have to bypass the one way valve with the smoke test to see if the brake booster could also have a vacuum leak. Otherwise the one way valve will stop the smoke from escaping and you would think everything was OK. By the way - Super camera work with that leak on top of the gas tank! I know it wasn't easy to get that shot!

yeah, definitely! Because that is how an actually oven also is designed! Good observation! The heat may be cutting off before the lower part of the oven reaches the necessary heat for the Powder Coat on the lower part of a frame like they described having done in this thing!

I put a vortech supercharger on mine with around 15 lbs of boost. A ton of other mods like ford performance intake, long tube headers, h-pipe with flowmaster mufflers. Bigger fuel pump with much bigger injectors. A little bit of suspension work. Sub frame connectors, up and lower control arms. A center force duel friction clutch with short throw shifter. I know there's things I'm forgetting but it was a beast back in the day. Everytime I ran the 1\4 mile I would power shift every gear and I never missed. Even if I would of it wouldn't of hurt nothing because the shifter had stops so you wouldn't bend the shift forks no matter how hard you pulled on it and then there is the rev limiter so you wouldn't rev it past redline
