These two really knew what country music was about and they clearly had fun doing it. They really set the standard of pure talent and I think today's artists really struggle to compete 😅

The pedal steel guitar is phenomenal. Each generation the skill level has waned. I am learning the basics of the instrument and these old players motivate me. It's sad that newer generations have lost all interest in the instrument in favor of flashy hooks. I'm from Indiana where many good players of the time had their roots. No museums nothing. And forget about Nashville, that's what killed it
