    December 7th, 2023, I broke my tibia and ankle. Had emergency surgery, plates, screws put in. It's been an insane journey to recovery. The pain, swelling, and emotional roller-coaster is something I'll never forget. This video and all of the comments make me feel so much better knowing im not alone and that the recovery process im going through is normal. Happy healing to anyone reading this.

    Please be careful. The crutches must rest over the side of your chest, a measurement of up to 3 fingers straight from your armpit line to the side of your chest. Otherwise you will end up with a Crutch palsy which is compression of your axillary nerve lying underneath your armpit. I am a certified physiotherapist so hope this helps.

    Hey Nic, thanks for the great content! I just wanted to mention, I have to search for your channel. I don't get any video/short/live notifications from you even when I'm subscribed with notifications on. Could you please make a community post with a link of your latest live/short/video so it would be easier to see when you upload? It would also make it easier to engage with it. Also another suggestion, I was wondering if you could do Q+A's maybe from instagram for your videos or live? Also a link tree page for all your links? it just makes it easier to see which is the newest link added? Also do you go live once or twice a week? I've been checking everyday and I tend to miss most of your lives unfortunately. Thanks for all the help again!!

      Wiz thanks for the feedback! I’ve been trying to make a regular schedule but it’s hard because right now I am doing A LOT of work. I’m trying to stream live at least 3x a week on ig and yt. Still trying to figure out how I want to structure my content. What type of content should I think about making? I like the Q & A ideas

      It's understandable you must be very busy. You could go live once a week or a month, but I have found the your channel very helpful, and I do thank you sincerely 🙏. I'm personally supplementing your information with my PT from an ankle fracture. It's turned into lifestyle change to help with recovery but also make the recovery easier to the best of my ability. An example that helped me was the video about lunges, I had trouble practising my PT exercises, and your tip helped me with my form, and I finally got it 😅. Q&A was just an idea, It's a easy way to cover a lot of content briefly but also quickly. Whatever suits you, we appreciate it 🙏 💯 🙌 , keep up the great job, don't overwork yourself, your passion gets the message through and no matter how many times you say it, God know we need to hear it 😂😂. But definitely a community post with the link to your latest upload would help tremendously. Thank you again! I apologise if this is too much/uncalled for. 🙏

    I feel you I tore my acl, mcl. meniscus at work on 2/4/2023. I ended up in the hospital on 2/15/2024 due from me not walking correct a got a callous that bursted and gave me callulites up my right leg. I waa in the hospital for 11 days and on antibiotics for 51 days. I left hospital with a picc line and continued antibiotics at home. So my foot dr gave m the ok to talk to my knee dr about surgery. I finally got my knee surgery and from walking a got another callous and was placed in a foot brace. Knee dr is keeping me out of work for now. It just seems one step forward and two step backwards. The pain in my knee was very painful. I, get depressed and thinking stupid things.

May 19th, I suffered a Trimalleolar Fracture. Honestly it's been a blessing. The ability to connect with others who are going through the same stuff is one good thing about the internet! How has your pain levels been?? are you still on blood thinners?

    • @chelseaparker7562
      @chelseaparker7562 23 дні тому

      @@TheHealthyYinzer Absolutely! As for pain levels , my most painful moments were day 2 and 3 after surgery , all I did was cry , because the primary medication (oxycodone) felt like it wasn’t working. I think by the second to third week from surgery , I was feeling alright and stopped the meds I also stop taking the blood thinners like up until the day they took my cast off to remove the stitches. Before I was taking it whenever I felt and notice my foot/toes were swelling up. if I seen/felt my toes were super tight and I couldn’t move them , I took the blood thinners and they brought that swelling down good , I was moving my toes like nothing was wrong. But as of now, I take nothing. I also had moments couple days after the surgery where my foot would just randomly jump, like a muscle spasm , but I didn’t get the meds for it until the day of my stitch removal and don’t even need it because the spasm’s stopped right after the cast came off.
