5 hours Is really early unless your track riding. I use mine for a big ass field an some trails and jus changed my k2 230 at about 40 hours

I’m gonan be honest, I’ve had the k2 230 for about 6 months and I’ve put it through hell and back, and it holds its end, it runs great, starts up immediately every time with no problems, never had a mechanical problem either. The bike and brand have throughly surprised me. I’ve jumped it countless times(even tho it’s not supposed to be jumped hard😂) they are reliable, and I was supposed to change the oil 2 times during the break in period and the filter once. I only changed the oil once. The bikes a unit

They definitely are more for the beginner riders and be been riding a long time and can tell the suspension is what would be the first the give out compared to Honda’s and etc.

You may want to move up to a higher performance, heavier bike. Most motocross bikes (and I’m sure it applies to these bikes too) are built for a 5’8-10 160 lb. Basically teens.

Not the best fit for you, I would recommend something like a 250 2 stroke or a 450 4stroke. No offense you’re just a big man and will need a little more power to enjoy riding

Hey man sorry for the late reply been sick 😷. Air filter will come out just needs a little pull normally. Make sure everything is removed. You can clean air filter by soaking in dish soap and water. Make sure you completely dry out before reinstalling. Haven’t had any issues with brakes yet. If there is to much fluid it will cause locking though so good fix. Final thing the tires. I went with same size that you read on the front tire and for the rear I went with a 110-90-18 you can use and online site that shows you the actual tire size difference. But almost any dirt bike tire is going to fit as long as the rims sizes match

I normally just start it up low rev and the oil will already be thrown up by the crank upon start up, I always just use kick stand up to you! And to the second question the choke is in a weird spot I’ve notice I don’t really need it unless it’s below 50 degrees Fahrenheit

@@motojanza5686 sorry to ask so many questions... but ive got one more: on average, how many miles to a tank do ya get? I stalled out the other day thinking I had at least 20 miles left, luckily was rather close to a gas station and made it on reserve.

@@gage6661 Don’t be sorry! I posted these videos to help people as much as I can! For me it really varies on how I’m riding, lol when I’m out on trails I don’t get as good as gas mileage on road since I’m stopping n going a lot more. But with that in mind, MilesPerGallon should be about 60-75miles per gallon. 1.9 tank realistically probably only filling to 1.5ish should see about 100 miles per tank is a safe bet. But with the pervious statement that can be less if you’re doing a lot of off-roading from stop n go rather than a consistent speed on road.

I let mine idle around 1500rpm 230cc motorcycles are known for stalls if you try to low idle around 1000rpm. I recommend 1500rpm. As far as the tac and Speedo I have not had any issues luckily could just be faulty wiring

Normally just a few minutes. I use the kick stand because I don’t a good general enduro riding and will just ride to a friends house sometimes and enjoy the kickstand over a center stand my self.

Sorry not sure if I got to you in time I would absolutely say anything around $2500 and under for these newer ones are well worth it just got done attempting some of the bigger hill climbs in my area dropped 3 times due to soft sand on the hills and they hold up good

Mine was $4400 out the door all depends on where you are getting it. If you order online it will be cheaper versus going to a dealership

I would say in my experience so far yes I have brought it out for family events and let people get on it all day never breaks down

Also the T6 is fuel injected giving you even more reliability

@@motojanza5686 the difference is the k6 is not a low maint. engine, the 230 is based off old low maint. honda xr 200. with the k6 you need to change oil way more often. guess performance models have much higher operating costs, and more frequent need to rebuild engine/engine failure. if you look on their website it says low maint four stroke for the 230,and 250 k4 also says low maint, but the k6 and water cooled 2 stroke do NOT say low maint. 230 is a great farm vehicle, and all around knock about type bike. the lower power engine runs longer without maint. , and is designed to last a long time, at least old honda engines did... hopefully kayo has the same reliability, with a much lower out the door price tag. new name brand dirt bike prices are thru the roof, and their quality does not seem to be improving, with knock off bikes having features that name brand dont have, like disc brakes , key start, and wider pegs to name a few...

@@proudamerican6763 Hey still have the bike it’s been great owning it! Put just over 1500 miles on it this last summer and it’s hanging out in the garage waiting for spring. With out a doubt in my mind I know when I charge the battery and turn it over it will fire right up! Only issue I had right before winter is the ignition relay I did a temporary solenoid jump switch.
