20240104 Long Run and week in review
In this video I go through my training week of running so you can see what my training looks like week-to-week. I also talk a little bit about heart rate and stroke volume. Most of my running is easy zone 2 runs with some speed mixed in. One day is a faster workout.

20241228 21k Long Run
Переглядів 4019 годин тому
This is my Saturday 21k long run. I tried running and recording on this run and it worked out ok. I am thinking about getting a camera (Insta360 Go 3S) to use on my runs. I signed up for a marathon on June 8th that I want to record part of it but I need a light camera and the Insta360 fits that.
20241221 - 14 miler today
Переглядів 1921 день тому
My long run today was 14 miles. Trying to up my mileage to over 30 miles a week. My new schedule is 6 miles on Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs with rest on Fri and then a long 13.1 mile run on Sat and rest on Sunday. That get me 35 miles a week. They say to become a better runner you need to increase mileage so trying that. My fear is injury from overwork; I am hoping all the years I've run, I can tel...
20241214 - 12 mile long run after coming off a half marathon

Getting back into normal training routine and did an easy 12 mile run today. Next week I get back into my normal routine of running Mon, Tues, Thurs and Sat. I need to start adding whole body strength training on my rest days.
20241207 - OUC Half Marathon
Переглядів 18Місяць тому
Ran the OUC Half Marathon yesterday and it was perfect weather. Before anyone gets on me about being disrespectful during the National Anthem, I had my headphones on and was blaring my race music (AC/DC) and didn't know it was going on. As soon as I realized it, I stopped. There is nothing more annoying than someone disrespecting the flag or anthem and that was me yesterday.
20241130 - Last long run before the half marathon next Saturday

Long runs are done for this race. This week is a light running week and then the half on Dec 7th.
20241123 - 10 miles today with 3 miles of intervals after
Переглядів 12Місяць тому
It was a cool 46 degrees this morning so I opted for a long sleeve dry wick shirt. Even though I didn't sweat too much, I still hydrated with electrolytes in the form of chews and drink. I didn't drink a lot. 2 weeks from today is the OUC half and I feel good. My goal is 2 hours.
20241116 - 15 miler before my taper
Переглядів 14Місяць тому
Got in a 15 miler today. It's the longest run training for the OUC half marathon. Next week is 10 and then the weekend after is 8 and after that the half. My Garmin had me at 10:11 min per mile. Not bad seeing it was an easy run day.
20241109 - 13.1 run on Saturday
Переглядів 92 місяці тому
It was hot on Saturday so I had to slow down a bit. I think these long runs are starting to wear me down a bit. OUC half is in 4 weeks so 2 more long runs and then taper to recover for the run on Dec 7th.

Had a rough run today - just didn't feel great. I guess that happens. Sometimes you feel like superman and other times a sloth. But nothing beats being out in the fresh air soaking up the rays.
20241028 - Did 13.1 miles in 2:22 on Saturday
Переглядів 182 місяці тому
Ran in Savannah over the weekend. Did 13.1 miles in 2:22 at an easy pace so confident of cracking the 2 hour mark at the OUC in 6 weeks. Maybe better if I keep training and stay healthy.
20241022 - finished UCF 5 Miler
Переглядів 422 місяці тому
Finished UCF 5 Miler with a 7:46 per mile pace which was better than I expected. Felt good and the first time using my new Super Shoes. Asics MetaSpeed Sky Paris with the carbon fiber plate. I can't say that it helped but if my time of 39:21 was any indication, I don't think they hurt. I like the feel.
20241020 - UCF 5 miler
Переглядів 172 місяці тому
Had a nice run this morning at UCF for the U Can Finish 5 Miler. 39:21 with an average pace of 7:48 per mile. I finally broke the 8 minute pace. That felt good. Next goal is the OUC half marathon in December.
20241012 Long run - MADE A BIG MISTAKE.
Переглядів 202 місяці тому
10/12/2024 - 13.7 miles - It was cooler on Saturday so I decided to lessen the amount of electrolytes I usually put in my Camelbak and to compound things I didn't start hydrating until about 6 miles in. By then it was too late but I started hydrating and stopped at a 7-11 at about mile 9 to get more electrolytes. That helped and I started feeling better. Note to self - hydrate even if it's cool...

Give Qaiodan Feiying PB4 a try.... you'll love it.
How did you attach them? What year miniCooper?
Hey! I started running 6 months ago and I finished my third 10k today. At what point do you need chews/drinks? I'm trying to go for a half-marathon! Thanks for the video
Fabulous 🏃♂️🏃♂️💪💪💯💯🥇🥇💙💙💙💙💙
i love your dog. its so sexy.
mate these are asics isnt it. u said adidas.. lol. how much is your new shoe ? r u always asics fan ? why not nike ?
My mistake. Adidas ... Noooooo! Asics, YES! Thanks for the correction.
Hopefully, you don’t land on your midfoot when wearing those. Congrats on your new shoes, and I wish I could grab a pair of those myself. However, they’re too expensive for me. 😅
I know, they are a bit of change. I'm only using them for races. I have heard these super shoes wear down fast so I won't be using them for training. I train in Asics Gel-Nimbus but want to go to Asics Superblast but the cost of those is high too. I am also looking at Novablast. Any of those are good.
.. You've been Graced with a Wonderful High-Performing Body that I know you cherish & appreciate .. I just started running (70-yrs) and I recently had a "Stress Echo-Cardiogram" just to get an overall understanding of the condition of my Heart, and to see if there are any problems .. All came-out very efficient & strong for my age, and I was cleared for any amount of activity I want to pursue .. Have you ever had a Stress-Echo to better understand how your Heart is doing, and to see if Your Heart has the capacity to keep performing well for You...? .. Much Respect ..🙏🙏
Someone left that trash there intentionally

Sometimes is best not to question the UA-cam algorithm when it serves a masterpiece
I know, right. What UA-cam algorithm did I trigger. Crazy!

I started running again two years ago, after giving up following ACL surgery some 15+ years ago. I have always run aerobically. I also swim 2 miles 3 days a week. The swimming is not exactly aerobic. The workouts combine aerobic and anaerobic. Aerobic warmup, with anaerobic sets separated by short aerobic recovery (100 yards). I am now incorporating this hibrid approach into my runs once a week. What I have noticed in my swims is that if I push my HR up too high, I am slower the next time. To counter that I focus on technique religiously. That focus prevents me from pushing too hard. I'm hoping for the same result in my running.
Your two drain plugs are in upside down. I soaked mine in rust desolver and put them back in with seam sealer.
Maybe an aftermarket trunk pan and hasn't been cut out yet?
What alternator are you running on your camaro? Are you running a 350? I'm running a 383 stroker with Holley Sniper EFI and I cant get my battery to charger.
I like him!
I've seen people riding in there 70s and 80s in a 36 mile bike race I did.
That dosnt look much like a live oak....looks like a dead oak
possibly if before removing water pump, remove thermostat and check which way water flows in the radiator, through cap opening first while at idle. easier than water pump? just a thought. (I say that because more flow with it out and not at steaming temperature at opening) but your probably right about pump direction. plus, that heater hose line on the pump might be messing up the flow on your particular engine, some have pipe plugs there with hoses on intake manifold. in other words, most of the water is being moved through the heater core and not the block so much with that hose there. depending on the intake style. thanks ✌️👍
Toggle switch your fans so that you control them. Don't rely on something else to turn them on. You probably had a 195° stat that's the most common one that people use but with your set up that's too hot. I'm guessing the motor is built to some extent so you would want a cooler stat and the 160 should be perfect. Toggle switch those fans so you control them. Turn them on at an idle once you hit just above 160 and once it hits 180°. Cool to 160 then repeat as necessary. You don't wanna cool it to below 160 or the stat will close back up and you want to circulate the coolant or it won't cool.
Best of luck man.
Maybe get an actual mechanic? How about that? 😂
Do a compression test on each cylinder to see if you have a head gasket leak or maybe a cracked block. Good luck.
Look like crap
