Nazareth Challenge 2022
A short video of some of the (many) fun bits from our cycle ride through #Israel - #Palestine in October 2022 for the #Nazareth Trust - raising money for the School of Nursing at the Nazareth Hospital - the oldest hospital in Israel. There are so many good people out there - Christians, Muslims, Jews, Druze and others. We must hope for - and help to build - a better future for all the people who call this their homeland.

October 2022, raising money for the #Nazareth Trust - a hardy group of bikers set out from Tel Aviv to Neve Shalom. From there we headed for Jerusalem, before a thrilling ride through Bethlehem and Beit Sahour to Jericho through some of the most amazing desert you'll ever see. From Jericho we cycled to Beit She'an, and then up to Nazareth. I thought my #GoPro footage was unusable with motion ar...

All this beautiful and traditional historical land was stolen by British from original owner and given to the Zionist cult, who has destroyed most of the ancient and traditional places to try to replace it by European style places. What big shame.

This proves there is an ancient palestine even before the jews set foot on this land..that they are the inhabitants of this land.. why did the jews claim that they were 1st on this land?

I love how everyone is idolizing Palestine while it was impoverished & under British rule. So you want to return to the time when it was actually colonized? It was never an independent state before Israel was formed. Basically you're content with any rule as long as it's not Jewish.

Palestine was a British territory or entity carved out of the Ottoman Empire after WW1. The boundaries of 'Palestine' were determined by the British and French, the name given to this land by the British was 'Palestine', legally the name was the British Mandate for Palestine shortened to 'Palestine' or British Palestine. The Mandated area originally included Eastern Palestine. This became Transjordan in 1923, though technically in the Mandate, effectively the Mandate covered only Western Palestine. Palestine as a political division didn't exist before the British, and didn't become independent, being partitioned by the UN in 1948. It lasted a mere 25 years.

Braindead comment. The land was always called Palestina or some form of the word. Look at ancient maps and you will see for yourself. Both Muslims and Jews have connections and deep, rich history to the land. What the Palestenians oppose is Zionism, not Judaism. Zionism and Israel were always an apartheid project. And that is evident in everything they do. From their folk songs(even ones before Israel was a thing) to their philosophies to Netenyahu just saying, "a two-state solution would be the greatest reward for terrorists" and calling all Palestenians "animals", "subhumans", etc. The Zionist movement, advocating for a Jewish state, gained momentum in the late 19th century after persecution of Jews in EUROPE. And guess what, the Palestinian land was not the first choice. Early discussions within Zionism considered other locations like; Uganda: Proposed by the British in 1903, this faced opposition from many Jews who desired a homeland in their historical birthplace, Argentina: Considered by some, Argentina wasn't widely embraced due to distance and a different cultural environment, Africa: Apart from Uganda, there were discussions about Madagascar as a potential location, even the Americas: Some early Zionist thinkers considered parts of North and South America, including the Amazon region. Israel absolutely targets Palestenian civilians. If Israel didn't, they wouldn't bomb civilians non-discriminantly constantly, Imprison and torture children and more. Israeli's problem is not with Hamas, it si with the Palestenian families. Let me ask you a question, let's say Hamas were hiding in a hospital or in the tunnels under a hospital, does that give the right to Israel to bomb the hospital? Okay, what if that hospital was in Israel, do you think Israel would still bomb it? I think not. You know why? Because Israel values Israeli lives more than they do Palestenians. In fact, I don't think they even care at all about Palestenian lives. What gives Israel the right to bomb the Rafah displacement camp last night of displaced Palestenians by Israel (that was supposed to be considered a safezone)? They say they think 2 Hamas members were there. This still isn't okay. Over 40 Palestenians died in 5 minutes yesterday and many got injured because of Israel. Imagine a schon shooting in America happened and imagine America bombing the school because they think the 2 school shooters are still there. Would the world let them sleep? There is no Israel without Hamas. Hamas was formed out if the unimaginable pain boys whose parents were martyred by Israel felt. They formed it because there is no Palestine without resistence. Israel wouldn't let it be as I have proved. Who will save Palestenians from the "most moral army in the world", that commits war crime after war crime, like dropping white phosphorus bombs on civilians and more, and the "only democracy in the Middle East"? A resistence - Hamas. Now, you are saying that "In Israel, the 20% of Arabs/Palestenians have full equal rights" Really? Arab Israelis are second class citizens. They are actively targeted for execution, there are literal hate groups that have worked with Israeli police forces advising them to kill Arabs whenever they can. Since Netanyahu codified Israel as a Jewish state, discrimination against them has been legalized. There are employers who outright refuse to hire them because of their heritage, and there are more than 50 laws that target them for discrimination. Their property is regularly confiscated if they have even the slightest familial relationship with anyone deemed a terrorist. That second cousin twice removed that you haven't spoken to in ten years? Well, he threw a pebble in the general vicinity of an IDF patrol, so now you have no home, congrats! Oh, and yes, Arabs can serve in government! But any coalition that includes them falls apart because they can't even slightly advocate for Arab interests without their coalition "partners" turning on them and dissolving the coalition, letting an extreme anti-Arab coalition into power. And that's just the Arabs in Israel's legal borders. Let's not even get into the Arabs living in areas that have been taken over by illegal Israeli settlements. They're a constant target for vigilante attacks by Israeli settlers who feel entitled to land that isn't recognized as theirs by any international body. Israeli settles will literally go out and murder random Arabs in these settlement and then joke about it. Arabs are literally the target of modern day lynch mobs. Both Muslims and Jews have connections and deep, rich history to the land. What the Palestenians oppose is Zionism, not Judaism. Who will save Palestenians from the "most moral army in the world", that commits war crime after war crime, like dropping white phosphorus bombs on civilians and more, and the "only democracy in the Middle East"? A resistence - Hamas. The the 20% of Arabs/Palestenians don't even have full equal rights in Israel, which by definition makes Israel an apartheid. Arabs are literally the target of modern day lynch mobs.

judaism is a religion. The musIim people of paIestine used to be jewish 3000 years ago but since then converted to christianity and then musIim. That doesnt make them less native. The WHITE jewish people from europe are NOT native to this land. By that logic, a japanese person can claim they are native to africa because thats where their ancestors lived thousands of years ago
