TAPESTRY CROCHET MAKEUP BAG
Hi guys! If you are looking for a nice bag to store your makeup, pens or other small items, then this pouch might be something for you. The bag is made in tapestry crochet which ensures a sturdy material. You can provide the bag with a lining, but that is optional. The pattern consists of single crochet only. The only tricky part is the pattern, but once you are on your way it will be easier.

    Thanks! I saw this stitch and thought it’d be perfect for the pot holder I’m making my mom for Christmas! Can’t find a pattern I like though so I’m going to try making one! Im also deciding what border to give her potholder! Does the inv fasten off work as normal for this stitch?

      Handmade gifts are the best, made with a lot of love! 😍 I don't know if I understand your question correctly but you can fasten off like normal at the end of your project or go straight into your border if you use the same color.

    Thank you for that great tutorial ❤. Just a little idea: it helped me a lot to use a stitch marker instead of holding the yarn between my fingers. Just hang the stitch marker in and remove it after making the stitch. Perhaps this idea helps other crocheters, too 😊

      Hi, sorry for the late respons, I was enjoying my holiday ☀️ It's annoying that your work looks different than planned, unfortunately it is still handwork and it can always turn out differently. You may crochet tighter than I do. You can start again and then make your measurements x 1.6 instead of 1.4. If that is not what you want, you can solve it by crocheting an extra piece on the side that is on the inside of your skirt. The same stitch but from top to bottom, then crochet the edge around it. Or make the edge a bit bigger on the sides using the stitch of the base of the skirt. Or make another panel and sew the pieces together. Hope this helps a bit

      Every round you make 1 3-puff extra in between the 2-puff stitches. The start and end is from round 2 the same for every round. So for round 4 the repeat is 3-puff, 3-puff, 3-puff and 2-puff and then round 5 will be 3-puff, 3-puff, 3-puff, 3-puff and 2-puff. The pattern is similar to crocheting a flat disc, but instead of using sc and Vs, you're using 2 puffs and 3 puffs- each row adds another 3 puffs to each set. Just like how in a flat disc each row increases a sc before the V.

    Hi! I am so glad I found this tutorial! I have two questions (for now! 😂). When you do the front and back post row, the second to last stitch would be a back post SC, and the last stitch would be a regular single crochet? My second question is if the Ch 3 is considered a stitch and the first front post of the next row is done around that stitch. Thank you and greetings from Bolivia.

    • @2LOOPZcrochet
      @2LOOPZcrochet 8 місяців тому

      Hi ask me any question you have :) I try to answer them for you. The last stitch isn't a sc but a front post sc, because you work in the round. The answer on your second question is yes, you work the first front post around the ch 3 from the beginning. Hope this helps, let me know if I can helpp you with anything else!

    • @2LOOPZcrochet

      You can make it every size you want, you start the pattern with some measurements. Measure loosely around the neck of your daughter and write this number down. Then measure from the neck to the armpit. Write this number down. Measure from the neck to where you want the top to fall. Also write this number down. You now have all the measurements to make your top. Follow the instructions from the pattern or the tutorial. You can definitely use a size 3 cotton, you need less stitches to get the desired size.

    Thank you for another great pattern. This is the second of your patterns that I am making BUT I've made a mistake in the sizing. I measured the front and back panel from one of my favorite sweaters that fits well but today when I pinned the shoulders together and tried it over my head, it's a size too small. 😖 I can add width to the back panel but then it will be wider than the front; not sure what problems that will create. I am wondering if I can add width to the front panel but how to get around the V in the middle? Can I add width to side with the foundation chain? Your help would be greatly appreciated! 🤞

      So good to hear that you already made one of my patterns! Lets see if we can fix this together. I am not sure if I completely understand what exactly is the problem. Is it too small at the sides (left to right) or at the neckline or is it too short (top to bottom)? • @2LOOPZcrochet
      @2LOOPZcrochet 10 місяців тому

      That could be due to several things. It could only be the beginning, then it will be fine as you continue working, but it could also be that you accidentally increased more than necessary. You can count your stitches to see if you are still on the right track. In the 1st round you will have 10 stitches and in the 2nd you will have 20. Mark the 1st stitch of the round so you know when you have completed it. Hope this helps!

      Yes! I'm also working on a pattern for placemats in this stitch, you can follow that tutorial if you like. It will be online in a couple of weeks.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you for these detailed instructions!❤ I have to admit I saw this pattern a couple of years ago and I was intimidated. I thought it might be too complicated. But now that I have more experience with color work, I’m ready to give this a try.

      I can imagine that the pattern looks intimidating for a beginner. When you follow the instructions and take your time I'm sure you can manage it! And if you need some help, let me know! You can do it!
