Lol what @warjack said. He's a mix great pyraneese, anatolian shepard, and akbash. I'm sorry if you think he's suffering but I promise you he's not. We do bring him inside in the summer when it gets hot but this weather is what they are purpose built for.

I've seen the chickens walk over them before, but not cuddle up like this. It was surprising to us as we were leaving to see those two. 😂

The dogs have full range to wander the entire property, the chickens spend their nights locked in the barn.

They are livestock guardian dogs...one is great Pyrenees and the other is Anatolian shepherd mixed with great Pyrenees. They live for this kind of work and they play with the kids all day when it's not raining out! I promise they're NOT mistreated!

They are living their best lives doing what thousands of years of breeding is dictating through their DNA, working to protect their charges.

Actually, one is a great Pyrenees (the white one) and the other is Anatolian/great Pyrenees (at 150+ pounds, he'd be a monsterous lab)! And while it looks like they are left alone outdoors constantly (which is pretty typical for livestock guardians, especially when they have goats and sheep to watch over) these two pups get to play with our kids every day and come inside when it's hot out (they thrive in cool/cold weather, and in the deep south, this is their favorite time of year).
