    This was amazing lmao I wish I could see that Ringmaster ann Shaman WD video xd. Btw Lion's kit has been kinda the same since he was created in like 2004, so don't blame Valve for that lol, blame Eul or whoever the hell conceived him. Silencer too was conceived by someone in DotA 1 so that's where his straightfoward name comes from. I love you both started doing random shit and have fun! xd, btw you should have went the recommended build by Dota plus. Parasma amps silencer damage a lot and Moon Shard makes him attack faster, Scythe of Vyse is also good on him. Lion has a facet that enables him to Fist people and is honestly the most fun facet to play with. You can turn Lion into a Rightclicker with Echo Sabre and Yasha-Kaya after getting Scepter and such. Also "I want to finger Hoodwink so hard" that's some good taste right there

    Your friend Ezdoe clearly has not known pre-rework Techies. They have been reworked several times and it took a lot of butchering to finally stop their madness. Techies was worse than Teemo ever was. His mines not only were instant, but they were also stackable (didn't had a radius limit) and it was a BASIC ABILITY so he could start doing that since minute 0. His Ult was also a stackable mine wich was remote, wich means it triggers manually whenever he wants. AND he had a skill that literally BLEW himself to death for an INSANE amount of damage. More than his Blast Off would ever do. Techies was a nightmare to play with and against because he sucked all the fun of the game into himself, turning the match into minesweeper.

  • @GearDiego23
    @GearDiego23 Місяць тому

    Hearing you talk about techies and teemo. Oh no sir... you where not there... Techies was reworked, he was the master of being hated. Way more than teemo. Teemo is just a little p**** a** b*** compared to the my beloved classic Techies. We used to have an ultimate called. Remote Mine. They were invisible, able to stack in the same place and Techies manually explodes them on command. +the usual land mines u see. +A static mine that rooted people. Techies used to have THREE different mines. I missed him so much.

    Duel CAN be wasted on ilusions. 29:47 and you did. You only taunt the unit you selected, even if its only an ilusion. With that facet, that is the damage your allies get if they assisted you on winning the duel. You only get the 10,20 or 30. 2 deadalus increase the % chance. But not a flat amount

    3:53 when he said "she is dead!" I was expecting Axe to dunk Medusa on the spot XD. Because yes, Axe Ult can instakill Medusa as long as her current HP is below the the damage. Without caring about her shield. That's how Axe Ult works. It insta kills the target as long as its HP is below the damage. Without caring about any damage reduction or death negation debuff.

    • @GearDiego23
      @GearDiego23 Місяць тому

      Thats not how the ult works anymore. Axe ult does pure damage (can be increased with spell amp), to avoid that medusa interaction.

    • @KitsuneFaroe
      @KitsuneFaroe Місяць тому

      @GearDiego23 the Ult still does work like that, it is an instakill, it is just based on damage after amplifications. Medusa interaction still exists, she still can be one-shoted with full mana full health. But she can solve that problem easily by getting some stregth or hp.

    I'm sure you've figured it out by now, but half the time you said Zeus "ulted" you, it was actually him using his second basic skill, Lightning Bolt. His ult is the one that hits all enemy heroes at once (unless he picks a particular facet which he didn't pick this match). Lightning bolt is the one that stuns the enemy that gets hit, it deals about the same amount of damage to a single target. Also, his "little jump" is his 3rd skill, Heavenly Jump, it can actually work as a potent escape because not only does it allow him to jump over cliffs, it zaps one nearby enemy hero which slows them down for a couple seconds. Also AFAIK there is a talent that grants him movement speed after using jump. One very important aspect of Boots of Travel in addition to allowing you to teleport to creeps is that they drastically reduce the cooldown of the teleportation itself. Not only that, but it makes it so you no longer consume TP scroll charges when using it, so it essentially gives you infinite scrolls as well! Side note: RIP Tony Todd, the voice of Viper, Night Stalker and Dragon Knight. Gone too soon.

And I think this was the first time I saw a Lion with Dagon in the last 8 years or so.. Very fun to watch, and I can already see you're improving over time! Veno with Jakiro makes for an absolutely AIDS lane for the enemy to be in, and the two of you did manage to make it work and transition into mid game nicely. Looking forward to seeing more!

  • @KitsuneFaroe
    @KitsuneFaroe Місяць тому

    "Quick as Venom" is actually very accuarate considering Venomancer movement speed xd. Ok I love playing Venomancer and he has a huge skill ceiling thanks to his little shits and his innate. The wards help you scout anyware with such an easiness is hard for the enemy to juke or gank from the shadows, and since they block movement they can even trap enemies! One tip I give is that you can order all your controlled units while holding Ctrl. Wich means you can order all your little shits to stop or attack something if you hold Ctrl. There is a way I love to play Venomancer and is playing him as a core and farmer. It gets to a point where I can oneshot even tanky heroes in less than a second. You see... Venomancer's innate "sceptic shock" deals more damage for every debuff you applied on the enemy (INCLUDING DEBUFFS FROM ITEMS). With Aghanim Scepter this innate gets DOUBLED and the wards get it too. That's why I play with the other facet, that one that makes you so can stack little shits on top of people (specially YOU). In the early game is easy to ran out of mana so you have to be careful. But once I get to mid-game and beyond I stack them on top of my head every time it is off-cooldown. So I have like 7 to 12 little shits on top of my head every moment. And with Scepter that becomes DANGEROUS really quickly. My build goes like this: I get an Orb of Venom at the start of the Game for more slow and debuff. Then I get boots and jump straight into Scepter. Once I have Scepter and my innate is boosted I try to get a debuff item (like Veil of Discord OR any of the ítems you can build with Oblivion Staff) wich of those items I build is situational and depends on the Game and the enemy draft. Once I have one of those debuff items I go and get a Eye of Skadi, this item is EXPENSIVE but the power Spike is VERY noticeable. Its debuff is not only extremely powerfull but it also gives an INSANE amount atributes wich traslates into an insane boost in Sceptic Shock damage. That's the moment you're able to rightclick almost every hero. However is easy to bring you down is focused and Venomancer has no mobility. THAT'S when I get a blink dagger, so I can surprise-jump on top of someone and instakill them. If the enemy has BKB that is going to be a problem, that's when I get Scythe of Vyse so I can kill them before they can even react with BKB. Later on if you have enough money you can upgrade your ítems, turning Veil into Shiva, Blink dagger into Overhelming blink. And even PARASMA or BLOODTHORN if you can afford the luxury of getting damage-only items. The Gameplan is simple, you try to manager your mana early Game, but from there on you can farm camps really fast (Venomancer is actually a really good farmer due to wards and scouting). Then as you get ítems you can easily kill enemies by casting EVERYTHING You have onto them, the damage is insane. There is s point when you get blink. Where you find the right moment and spot to BLINK on top of the most valuable enemy and cast EVERYTHING you have at him, ítems and skills, everything. They die so fast without being able to react it is crazy! Remember this is with the facet that makes you place wards on your head since a lot of the damage comes from that. I actually made a Guide for that with explanations wich you can search as Kitsune Faroe if you want. This strat works mostly on turbo due to how gold works there but in your skill bracket it is going to be BONKERS.

    Undying does no damage in late game because that's kind of the way his hero works. He is super strong in the early game, with the heals, sapping strength from enemies while growing stronger, and the annoying tomb zombies that make any team fight where he is present obscenely difficult for the enemies. However, in late game he mostly falls off and his abilities don't scale all that well. He's meant to secure a huge advantage for his team in the early game so that the game doesn't last past minute 35, but if that doesn't work out, later he only really provides a little bit of healing and utility with his Aghanim's shard, but somebody else will have to do all the damage.

    About the synergies, 1 complexity heroes are rather straightforward but they still have some synergies to them. Take tidehunter, his kit revolves around team fighting. A ranged attack to slow, an aoe melee and then a screen wide stun. Rikimaru on the other hand is all about picking up lone people. He does extra damage when backstabbing others so he has a teleport that places him right behind an enemy, a smoke screen to disable their enemies and prevent retaliation, the circle thing kinda protects him and then his passive ult makes him invisible . For better synergies check out 2 complexity or higher heroes. Take my favourite(not good this patch) phantom lancer. Read through his abilities and you can paint the synergy in your mind

      Thanks for the clarity, that whole conversation was just our initial observations and comparisons with other games we've played, so as we continue to play and learn more about DOTA, those views will certainly change (plus this game was recorded a while back, we've recorded more games since then). Also, it's not to say that all DOTA characters seem straightforward, I think it just so happened that as of the time we recorded this game, I had mostly played as, against, and seen other people play relatively straightforward characters. There's definitely a lot of characters in this game that require more brain power; Dark Seer was mentioned, of course Invoker exists, and others as well. We'll just have to find out what every character does.

      @@Sir_Gwan well if you want an example of a hero than can do combo's by itself, its invoker.. literally multiple combo's with any of his skills.. but i guess in overall dota is more of a synergies BETWEEN heroes.. so you can check out of symphony of skills or wombo combo videos for reference, that many of the skills complement other heroes skills and amplify the effect.

    • @Sir_Gwan
      @Sir_Gwan Місяць тому

      @alone2break I've seen Invoker, and frankly, he seems far too big brain for me to play. The simple fact that I have to remember what button combinations create what spells seems far too confusing to me. Bear in mind that we're still new to this game for all intents and purposes, both of us have like 30 games each right now which is really nothing. To go from characters like Dark Seer to a character like Invoker is like asking a part time fast food chef to work with Gordon Ramsay in a high intensity restaurant. Once again, I understand that there are many characters in DOTA that have lots to offer, and I've seen a handful of them already. But one step at a time, I'm still trying to figure out what to do half the time.

    Phantom Assassin is indeed super fun when the enemy either doesn't have enough CC and Magic burst to kill her in 4 seconds or if she's just super far ahead. Also, I think this is the first time I've ever seen a carry venomancer, but hey, it worked! A few quick tips to improve your experience: - you can right-click any item in your inventory and left-click the _"Show in shop"_ button in the popup to see both what the item in question was built from and also what it builds into. For example, if you did this with arcane boots, you'd see that they are built from ring of Basilius, brown boots and a recipe, and in turn only build into guardian greaves. Sadly, power treads are roughly in the same tier as arcane boots, and don't build into anything fancier, hopefully there is a cool late game item they build into added in the future. - while shopping, you can click and drag the item you want into your quickbuy box (where it says drag or shift-click at the bottom left) to have all of the item's individual components displayed there. The ones you have enough money for will be highlighted, so you can decide for yourself which ones you want to buy first, perhaps saving up for the most expensive parts as they usually provide the most benefit, though of course it all depends on what exactly you need right now. As stated in the dialog, Shift+left-click does the same thing as dragging the item into the box. When you already have one item in the quickbuy, you can add another without deleting the first one by pressing Ctrl+Shift+left-click. Then you'll have all the components you don't own yet for both items. It can get a bit confusing when both of the items have similar components (such as witch blade and power treads for an INT hero), so you might want to avoid doing Ctrl+Shift in some cases. - when selected, your courier has a button that sends it directly to the secret shop on *YOUR* side of the map. The hotkey is W by default. Once the Courier arrives at the secret shop, you are allowed to buy secret shop items by right-clicking them as if you yourself were there, though of course the items will be in the courier and need to be delivered to you afterwards. Be careful though - when the courier is flying, it will fly towards the secret shop (and then from it to you) in a straight line - it might run into enemies who will gladly kill it if you aren't careful. Sometimes it's better to shift-queue its optimal path like in an RTS game (and yes, you can shift-queue hotkey orders like _"Go to secret shop"_ and _"Deliver items to me"_ as well). Sorry if you already know these things, I think it's just very good to know because they improve your experience greatly - I was really happy when I got into the habit of doing them myself. Good luck and have fun playing Dota!

    Just wanted to say we actually played a second game after this, but I forgot to record, so I've only got this game's footage. Gyen probably recorded his side, so I'll just link his video in the description when he uploads his stuff.

      @@Sir_Gwan I see!! Great content though, keep at it!! Try heroes with more passives, so as to pay more attention to other parts of the game. Less buttons to worry about. Suggestions: Wraith King, Drow Ranger, Luna, Medusa, Viper, Faceless Void, Phantom Assassin You'll find that the general gameplay will improve faster. Easier laning, less buttons. Good luck

    Not gonna lie, it took all my mental fortitude to avoid screaming my head off in public from your arcane boots usage. Like, giving up and leaving because you "have no mana" when you can just press arcane boots and get that mana you're missing? Dmkfktlsigleikslfldksjhakcodjkd I'm kinda glad you didn't go guardian greaves because you'd probably never use them properly! But anyway, I mostly enjoyed the gameplay and I'm sure you'll improve greatly as you go along! A few quick tips to help out in your future endeavors: - if you cast _Ion Shell_ on an enemy, that one enemy will take *NO DAMAGE AT ALL* from that particular ion shell they're carrying. Don't cast it on an enemy you want to kill, in a fight it's better to cast on an ally, or an enemy you think will die last. - you can micromanage the copies created by your _Wall of Replica_ the exact same way you can micromanage your courier. Except the copies can do some serious damage, especially if you catch multiple heroes. You can use copies to bodyblock heroes who are running away the same way you block creeps in lane, or you can order all the copies to attack one enemy hero to deal high damage to them. You can also cast ion shell on the copies, though they don't tend to survive very long. Wall of replica is particularly effective against heroes who have abilities that illusions can use, such as Medusa (tons of AoE damage in late game), Phantom Lancer (the copy can create more copies to overwhelm enemies), Anti-Mage (the copy can burn away tons of enemy mana), or any hero carrying the item Radiance, as the copy will also apply radiance burn to all nearby enemies. - Eul's Scepter is an excellent item to use in a pinch. It can dispel most slows and silences that exist in the game (e.g. _Open Wounds, Gush, Global Silence, Diffusal Blade, Orchid Malevolence_ and many more, you can highlight any item or ability with your mouse and hold Alt to see if it's dispellable or not). While caught in the tornado, you or another target are also invulnerable, which means you can dodge lots of damage with it if timed right, such as Disruptor's ultimate. You can also use it to stun enemies who are about to TP away or are in the process of using powerful ultimates, the biggest example in this game being Witch Doctor, as his ultimate can be interrupted and do no damage whatsoever. The upgrade to Eul's, the item _Wind Waker,_ has a shorter cooldown, can be used to save allies just like you can use it on yourself, and when actually used on yourself, you are allowed to move, even passing over cliffs and buildings as you do! It is usually treated as a late game upgrade though, as it is only a slight improvement when compared to its huge cost. - I'm not entirely sure if you did it this game, but the Wall is vector-targeted. When placing it, you can choose not only its center, but also the direction it will stretch. All you need to do is slightly drag the mouse in the desired direction before releasing the mouse button from the click. - Disruptor is a very powerful counter to Dark Seer! Besides bringing back enemies who are running away with _Surge,_ he can also prevent them from moving altogether with his _Kinetic Field._ Sometimes when trying to escape him, it might be better to save Surge until *after* he already brought you back with _Glimpse_ or after Kinetic Field expires, so that your Surge doesn't get nullified. - another important aspect of the Wall is that it deals damage *every time* a copy is created. This means that every time a copy is destroyed while the copied enemy is still standing in the wall, they will get copied again, and thus take damage and get slowed again. You could actually observe this multiple times in this match. This means that, for example, if the enemy is standing in their own Disruptor's _Static Storm_ and you place the wall in that storm, the copies will almost immediately be destroyed by the damage from the storm and new ones will be created before the enemies realize what's happening. Depending on how often they've seen Dark Seer in the past, this could occur multiple times in quick succession, greatly increasing the damage output of your Wall. Good luck and have fun playing Dota!

      @BAMGM yeah, I realised while editing the past 2 Dota videos that I was misusing Dark Seer's Ion Shell, however, as we recorded these games in one session, I didn't really take the time to reflect on the matches, we just played. As for the item usage, sorry mate, but I'm a Smite player normally and there are barely any item actives in that game that I need to worry about so when I play Dota or League for whatever reason I tend to forget. I played a Tidehunter match on my own and I actually remembered to use my Guardian Boots and Eul's Scepter. There's also just a lot of things about Dota that Gyen and I are unfamiliar with, so we ended up overlooking a lot of things. I didn't even know silences could be dispelled by Eul's since in Smite, Silences also stop you from using interactable items so in my mind I just assumed it was the same for Dota. Thanks for the feedback, though. I used to play and watch a lot of Dota years back, and it feels nice to get back into it. We had lots of fun.

      @@Sir_Gwan please don't take it the wrong way! (well besides the arcane boots comment but you know that was mostly a joke anyway) I'm glad you're having fun and I know you'll quickly learn a lot of stuff that isn't obvious from the beginning. I can see how the silence thing definitely takes time getting used to - there are also exceptions where some abilities prevent item usage as well, but those are very rare and usually only happen in late game. Another big thing I forgot to mention - Witch Doctor was juking everybody so much because he had a glimmer cape! It's an item that makes one invisible for a couple seconds and gives some magical barrier, can be really handy in a tight spot. Normally invisibility is countered by active items _Sentry Ward_ and _Dust of Appearance,_ but in this match you had a Zeus who should have been able to take care of it - both his _Lightning Bolt_ and _Thunder God's Wrath_ can reveal invisible heroes, so it was a matter of good timing from him.

      @BAMGM yeah, in the solo Tidehunter match I had, I also learnt to use the different Dusts. Shame I didn't record it, but then again it was at 10pm and I was too tired to say anything. I'm sure we'll do some more Dota stuff later down the line, but both Gyen and I have been busy recently so any new videos that come out will likely just be stuff from previous recording sessions or other games. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!

    10:52. It's not that you have high damage, it's just that Medusa has less than 400 base hp. The lowest of all heroes. Her health pool is actually her mana pool. if you damage her, what gets reduced is her mana. if she has no mana, she only has her less than 400 hp to save her.
