Most people love tesla because software such as camp mode and sentry. Funny that vw invested into rivian. But none of these brands can compete with tesla in software. Looks like tesla will end up licensing its tech open source to all the brands for a sas price to avoid anti competition. Be nice if tesla made a large van or convention large truck or suv for same price.

I ended up buying the Lasfit. Fronts fit perfectly, back was a little tight but I was able to get it to fit decently. Trick is the back closest to the seats needs to be positioned up above the back seat feet instead of under. Liking them a lot. Material is better than Weathertech imo. It's more rubbery and grips better when wet. Also won't curl like Weathertechs. Jury is still out on the Lasfit bed liner though. Having trouble getting it to sit flat.

Holy crap glad I didn’t bite the bullet buying the lightning when it first came out. I was seriously considering buying an XLT model for 75K, but after months and months of dealership’s insane markups, it turned me off. They were adding at least 15-20K to the MSRP, that was straight predatory. Now they are selling it for 43K, and have a lot in the inventory. People aren’t so excited about buying the lightning anymore.

Recently sold our 2018 Tesla Model3 and ordered an F-150 Lightning Flash. The Tesla was essentially maintenance-free - replaced wiper blades & cabin air filter. Tires replaced at 43K miles. Really no issues with the local Tesla Service Center, except that appointments sometimes had to be scheduled weeks in advance. Hoping for similar reliability from the Lightning 🤞.

I'm an electrician who installs the BID (home back up power option for the lightening's) I can tell you for a fact that Ford canceled the Lightening for a reason. The truck is trash. The updates are trash. The back up system is trash. Why would you buy a truck and home integration system for over 120k that can only back up 10 single pole circuits... (when it actually works) when you coul ddrop 15k out the door for a whole home back up with a generac. I get it... some people don't have natural gas at home...and others want the newest thing and have money to burn... One install... we had to return several times over just a couple months because the automatic updates to their system (thanks ford) was kicking one or more components off the system... thus...no home back up power. Can you imaging how pissed you would be if you paid over 110k for a truck and whole industrial complex of electrical equipment to be installed steampunk style at your home... just to find out that you cant have a working light in your toilet because of a forced update from Ford.... then have Ford tell your installer (that's me) that they will no longer be paying for us to go out and re-pair your truck to the back up system or the charger! Yeah... Everyone is welcome to google away and see that I'm not lying. I'm still with the same company,,, but only focused on solar and tesla batteries.... so don't get me started on how many powerwall 3 batteries we have to go back to and replace because they are failing. At the least... just from my division/region... it's 20-30 a week. Talk about an unproven product being pushed out. The upside is my company is covering the costs because they are already scamming you from the start. GET A GENERAC and forget about going green until it's proven and affordable. Side note... it's neither green nor affordable as of yet.

I don't like the cold, but firstly, you didn't care to indicate the units of measurement for viewers in degrees Celsius, secondly, it's only -7C, which has almost no significant effect on both electric and gasoline cars. It is really cold for a car from -20C, after -25C the car can no longer leave the house due to problems with starting or battery discharge. Although, thank God, this rarely happens here in Europe, but -20C happens every year for a few days for sure. That's why I never like the drama of the fake cold, when you're not even wearing a baseball cap, let alone a hat.

Just got a ‘24 Lightning Flash for $60k after all rebates. All the problems you mentioned here have not existed with what i have thankfully. There is a calm screen where the info on the dashboard is limited and you can also limit the info on the tablet by pressing and turning knob up. I came from a Tesla Model S Plaid. I have two level 2 chargers as my wife drives a model Y. I park outside but i live in the desert. Our Ford dealerships are great here. Tesla dealerships here are great for service especially using the app, Tesla’s app definitely is more superior than Ford ever will be. I find it weird there is no built in dashcam but i need the functionality of the truck as a truck and i love my lightning

I have a f150 lighting platinum, and I’m thinking of trading in for a new model 3 LR RWD because it definitely is a different drive experience than the ford and not to mention the range difference too

you guys are all a bunch of rubes. I've had my lighting for 2 years now, YES I get 20% or so less range when it's 15 degrees, but so what? I'm not driving 200+ miles a day, I have a level two at home and just plug it in. I've had no issues so far, it's been a great truck. And if you're buying an EV and can't charge at home, what is the point? 131kw battery at 50 cents a KW = $65, you're not saving anything over buying gas. This guy is hyping this narrative to get views and keep his monetization, that's all.
