So I have a cmmg bolt barrel kit I've had 4+ years now. Its the 9" barrel. With cmmg & black dog mags it's been running good! Now I have 22lr cans & I'm gonna also buy another upper & 4.5" barrel so most everything is subsonic. I'm about to make an order from your website. Get upgraded extractor, fireing pin, quiet collar, lightweight bcg weight kit. & A receiver extension plug. Anything else you recommend? I will buy another bcg after a while so I don't have to switch it from one upper to another.

I assume thats just a gen 2 mag problem? I have black dog & gen 1 cmmg mags, I haven't had any issues yet.

Thank you. This might help with why I’m grtting trigger reset issues on a 4.5” with all the stainless weights inside the aluminum weight. I’m having the worst time getting the damn thing to run reliably. Feed issues, extract issues, trigger reset issues, light rim strikes, bolt hanging up on the mag catch… just about every kind of malfunction there can be, I’m having. That’s with a RTB bolt but all the bore buddy upgrades. Their machining quality seems way down compared to a friends bore buddy bolt he just got.

I wonder if blocking the spring up and losing some capacity give the it enough compression to activate the bolt hold open

So is this showing Nitride goes well for bolt cycling? Seems like i get galling on my rails after a day of heavy usle, not only where my Aluminum weight carrier rides the stainless, but also points of contact with stainless. I've actually gottit taken apart for cleaning rightt now, maybe i can get one up later today. When they Run, They RUN💯

Honestly, an airsoft clone of that stock will work just fine with .22, and would cost 200 bucks less. Good video, though. I am building a CMMG banshee .22 clone at the moment. I can't believe folks will pay the price for that firearm, when you can build the same exact thing for a few hundred bucks.

Can this work with the M&P magazine conversion kit (another company I think)? I can't get the bold to go back far enough. Also, my weight just flops around on the BCG (not a problem when it's in the gun, right?

Just ordered a 4.5" upper with the regular weight kit because I didn't know any of this.

I just installed the CMMG conversion kit yesterday and took my Colt AR15 normally chambered in 5.56 to the range for the first time. Very disappointed with the kit's performance. Between 20 to 25 percent of rounds jammed. Received the Bore Buddy reliability kit today in mail. Hopeful it will make a big difference. If not, I guess the next step is to order the weight kit. I'll keep you posted.

What would you start with when tuning for your 7" dedicated? The lightweight or AL carrier and which weights, Stainless & Aluminum? Does it really need to be divided equally?

I have feeding issues with the borebuddy collars. I put a cmmg collar and now feeds everything flawless. I have the quiet collar and the regular collar from borebuddy both have the same issue. 😩

Hi just purchased this kit from Marlinspares in the uk. Is it ok to use the kit with only one weight in each tube? Thinking that it move around too much? Just so i know before heading to the range and adjusting etc.

Ok but why so expensive. The whole .22 upper is $200 this is half the price of the entire upper. Isn't it cheaper to just replace the bolt carrier instead?

Will this work with a M&P 15-22 pistol lower? I already removed the buffer tube and currently use a SB tactical tube style folder but i want to change it to a pic rail.

I have an issue with m&p15 22 mags. They detach from the mag catch if wiggled or bumped.

So to be clear. I can run m&p mag in my standard ar15 w/ cmmg conversion kit and the mag adapter, before I buy that.

How does the cmc do?

thats wayyy to much bolt bounce . that my be the cause of some of the light primer strikes when you do a double-tap

Using the CMMG Gen2 mags on a BCA .22lr upper they tend to push up on the ejector causing the bolt to jam. Not sure if this happens with other manufactures. Simple solution is to file down part of the feed lip on the left side. Only takes about +/- 1/16 of an inch.

My friend had light primer strikes with the stock cmmg firing pin and a milspec trigger, and I replaced it with the borebuddy premium firing pin and it works fine now. The stock firing pin was a hair shorter.

Purchased the accurizing kit from bore buddy. The gas tube plug, gas block for the charging handle and springs. Could not get the gas plug to work using two different charging handles, it would not go back into the rifle. The gas block takes up the space where the hump on the CMMG bolt goes into the charging handle. Also don’t understand the small buffer on the back of the bolt. The bolt does not go back far enough to contact the buffer. It might work if you had the weights installed but does nothing otherwise.
