Another big problem with our system is the type of person that gravitates towards public office. Ideally there would be rather strict eligibility requirements to run for office, some kind of service etc, and serious limitations on your ability to privately earn money after your term has ended, no more 500k speaking engagements and cushy consultation jobs etc etc ad infinitum. Art is not beautiful, ugly, good, evil, etc. without the key input of an observer. The observer dictates the meaning of the art, and not all observers will interpret the same art in the same ways. Say you witness a piece of art that you find strikingly beautiful, but another might find it bland, ugly even. Is your immediate reaction to claim this person is disingenuous? Or some agent of a cosmological evil? No! It's just a person expressing their opinion on a work of art. Art is art. The world of man need not be so direly linked to it.

Beauty, Goodness, and Truth, cannot be inherently linked. Truth is not reliant on Beauty or Goodness to remain the Truth. Beauty is bound to the perception of the individual, it cannot be based on Truth or Goodness, as someone truly evil could find a depraved creation or act to be of the highest beauty. I agree with your definition of Goodness, that being that it is something naturally healthy for the soul, like genuine communication with another or playing with a pet animal, but I don't think that means Goodness relies on Truth or Beauty to exist, you could get into a semantic argument about it where you say that goodness is inherently beautiful or something but I don't agree with that.
