Bringing your Ancestors from Wales to Life
Richard Warren is my 10th great-grandfather.
My maternal great grandparents immigrated to The US in about 1894 from Blaenavon and Ebbwvale wales. Samuel Harvey and Moria Morgan. Their children were Annie, Samuel, Elizabeth and Kable. Would love to know more about these ancestors.
It is remarkable to look in any book about the Mayflower and find the name of a direct ancestor of my family. Only half of the 102 Pilgrims survived the first winter. The Indigenous peoples saved them.
What about Johnstone
We don't know the Origin of Wallace, apart from the person was probably welsh .
Really interesting video, thank you.
My grandfather's from ayrshire
My last name is Henry someone in my ancestors dropped the O we use to be O’Henry my granny’s last name was Brown. I have Moore, McNeilly, Cresswell, Colquhuon, Kane, Patterson I can go on but I want fascinating
My Dad was from Prestwick in Ayreshire (came to Australia) and I still have relatives there in Ayr itself, who I have visited a number of times. It’s a beautiful area of Scotland.

"Davies" is generally pronounced as "Davis." Through my life, I have asked Davies's how their family pronounced the name, and that is how they pronounced it. The bulk of my life was spent in England. In fact, it was only in later years that I met a person with the spelling "Davis."
My surname was Walsh and we know the Irish ancestry can be traced to County Cork Ireland.
Our surnames are Lands Boniface and Wenks dont have any knowledge of our ancestors
Ok, I found William Moore on the isle of Mann he was born there in 1771. Found him on the Jannette in 1841 with Margaret and 5 son's.
I'm afraid the narrator doesn't know Scottish history 😕
O DALACHAIN-DULLAGHAN, IRISH ANY info please
Brilliant! ❤️
As an American I have traced three surnames in my tree with great confidence, those being Ashman, Thompson, and Armstrong. The first is Ashman, which I have traced to have lived in Kilmersdon, Somerset, England for centuries. Interestingly I found a point where it was anglicized from Aishman to Ashman. As for Thompson and Armstrong, they both trace back to Northern Ireland (Down County) where I suspect they were Ulster Scots before coming to the US. On the 1840 census an ancestor took it upon himself to anglicize Thomson to Thompson, which further proves it is derived of Scottish origin. If anyone sees any overlapping here, I'd be happy to share information. Hope it helps!

Hello That's good - and a large part of the reason that I wrote 'The Delano and Cooke Ancestors'! It's such a fascinating story, partly because it's so different from all the English Pilgrims, as those who came on the European Tour last September discovered. On page 60, I write "Almost every article has contained errors or omissions, some still unchallenged or uncorrected, more than a century later!" George
