    Hi Jimmy, nice work. A question to you, is the 24/36 that significant a step up over a 16/36.? I’ve had a 16/36 for several years but find that many of my customers are looking for platters instead of large bowls. Is the 24/36 worth the upgrade

    • @billmaxwell640

      Oops….really meant is the 2436 that much better than an 1836?

    I notice you have a small stop collar on the shank of your tool just above your quick release (love your quick release collars!). What is the purpose of that?

    I love the shape!! What was that little measurement you did at the approx. 3 minute mark? Is there some mental formula you use as an approximate distance where the body curve starts to transition to the foot curve?

    I see people in the comments would love access to wood like this, is there a good source, or is it just luck to come across some, maybe a link?

    Liking your approach to the design, just been turning a little over a year and I can see that when I started I didn’t give enough consideration to how the foot interacts with the rim, now I’m more proficient at mounting and the problem resolved

    Where do we get wood like that??? Beautiful. I was very sad to see Jimmy not use some kind of coring tool to save at least a small thin bowl in the inside instead of throwing away all that beautiful burl in the inside of the bowl. I guess he must have burl to burn.

    • @brianhawes3115
      @brianhawes3115 Рік тому

      Yes I thought the same thing, as he kept talking about how truly awesome the wood was. I have access to many madrone burls on my property, and I still core all of them

    Je ne comprends pas très bien l'anglais malheureusement. Mais essayer de suivre cette vidéo avec la traduction en français c'est tout-à-fait horrible. vous remarquerez qu'il a fendu la fin de vais tuer deux oiseaux avec une pierre ici... Je vais vous montrer comment l'outil de maintien des vêtements Jimmy en fait un tenir cela... Je l'ai monté dans l'étranglement sur un locataire un bon locataire fort d'accord... Je vais juste y mettre un peu de forme et alterner naturellement et aller au pâturage... Et ça continue ainsi tout le long. Je sais que ce n'est pas la faute de Jimmy il fait une excellente présentation, mais je pense que UA-cam devrait trouver de meilleurs traducteurs car c'est très difficile à suivre pour un débutant. J'espère que UA-cam changera de traducteur. Un pouce en l'air pour la présentation et un pouce en bas pour la traduction.

    I was really disappointed when you didn't core that beautiful burl. Such a waste, you could have got at least 2 more beautiful bowls out of that burl. An outstanding bowl but I would have rather a set of 3 or 4. Richard...

I am really surprised that you don’t do more on UA-cam but maybe you have been too busy with other work and demonstrations. I do hope you are still loving it out in Vegas and that you are managing to keep out of the casinos😂😂😂. Keep up the great work Jimmy, you still have the gift certainly. Thanks for sharing.
