Disrespecting 100kg - Grind To A 160kg Bench Press
Deload day today, and apparently I cant count 🤦🏻♂️
I thought I had done 15 reps here, but as it happens I only did 14. Definitely could have gotten the 15th too.

135kg bench press top set today, then 125kg back offs. Absolutely thrashed my triceps and chest but it was worth it. Definitely feel progress is being made. Finished up with a few sets of weighted dips with 60kg added. These were surprisingly easy though. I thought they would be much harder. I had intended to pull this weight for a triple today, but arrived at the gym feeling pretty tired. My hamstrings were just said “nope”. So After pulling one rep it was pretty clear to me just to leave it at that for today. I should have rested a few more days after my squat training on Monday, and I probably could have gotten the full set. Road to 260kg deadlift! #subscribe #powerlifting #trai...

Worked up to a 220kg top set today. Everything moved easy and explosively. Only issue I encountered was the unnecessary quick re grip on my top set towards the end. Wtf the single rep that I got w this weight slipped AS SOON as I hit the top and ur here doing 10 w no struggle 😳
Practice 🙏
What a recovery 😮
Still recovering
bro has 2m arms, nice bench and sick ROM!
Thanks mate. A wide grip messes with my shoulders so I have to get close.
I want to see the no.3 on the bottom of the gripper!
Look at one of my long form videos in that case.
Whats your max fat gripz deadlift nowadays?
I have a video on my channel where I pulled 140kg somewhere. Tbh though I haven’t trained them in a while so Im not sure what my current max is. I would probably say around 130-135kg
@@IronHandsDan Yeah just saw it. Any recommendation regarding workouts to get to 140kg? I am doing pinching grippers fat gripz, wrist wrench, wrist curls with oly bar
@@ilanaizelman3993 honestly mate. All I really ever have done grip wise, is fatgrip deads / pull ups. Coc grippers. Towel pull ups. And on rare occasions some wrist wrench. Oh!!! And most importantly… never use straps ever 😆
I will start gym soon, I'm 14 (F) any tips? 😮
Squat, bench, deadlift, overhead press, dips & pull ups 🙏
@@IronHandsDan thanks big guy 🫶🏼
You got insta? I can help you too
damn 0 leg drive, practically horizontal torso off the floor and still brute forcing 3 reps is very impressive.
Thanks haha. Im probably using more leg drive than you think though. I just have to start with my hips higher. If I bend my knees to much I can’t pull as much.
I’ve just done my first 100kg deadlift. Incredible to think you just did more than double that!
no. stop. you're destroying your spine. please get help with your technique. exercise physiologist here.
Can you go in to detail please
Краткий курс...как не надо делать
thats dangerous af, u literally the wrong example of deadlifting
Thanks 🤩
Idiot that's not actually HIM in the video, it's someone else's he stole and is trying to make money off.
I get that your tall but bend your knees a little before you break your spine
Nope 😘
Это техника называется «срущая собака»

Thanks! Please like & subscribe xxx
solid
Thanks! 😊 this needs to be my new training max if Im ever hitting 160kg
Зачем спиной тянете? Ниже садитесь и с ровной спиной поднимайте
Ебать бедная спина!! Продолжай в том же духе и скоро она пошлет тебя нахуййййй!!!
I am increasing my deadlifts. Upto 70kg.. what you do is nuts! Awesome.
Thanks pal. Appreciate it. Im after 260kg. 70kg is not to shabby though.
Just done 100kg.. 260, is off the scale.
Incredible
It’s weird huh!! I struggle pulling 235kg here, but a week later crank out 3 reps with 240kg.
nothing like the feeling of a PR, congrats... as a grip specialist, you're not hooking your thumbs, right? if so, not too many people out there doing that weight double-over hand unhooked; hats off...
Thanks mate. Felt like time slowed down on that final rep 😂. Ohh and This is a hook grip btw. I max out about 225kg or something when I pull strictly double overhand. Most of my deadlifts up until that weight are pulled without a hook grip, unless Im going for higher reps 😎
Any recs for workouts to improve bench?
Bench twice a week. Do a ton of overhead pressing and weighted dips. Figure out where your weakest and then target them areas after with high rep assistance exercises after. Thats about all I do personally 😃
@@IronHandsDan thank you Dan!!!
@@evanpeteryt no problem mate
😂 no way that’s a 300 lbs
No one ever said it was 🤷♂️
thats cheating . you must only use one hand to close
No
@@IronHandsDan check official rules then. They are using a card.
@@gerykis yes. Thats called a credit card set. This is called a deep set. It won’t get you certified, but its still a close. Thank you for sharing this brand new information with me though. I will take the video down and hang my head in shame. 😳
@@IronHandsDanthats new to me. I didn't know. kudos for your achievement. Which coc are you training for now with this deep set method?
That’s loads!!!
You can always get more on the bar. I was disappointed here as I pulled 250kg about a fortnight ago. But this weight felt awful as I was a bit battered! Next week though….
Your other hand is touching it for a significant part of the range of motion. I personally wouldnt be satisfied with that nor would I count it. Just place it in your hand, then remove the other hand completely, pause for a second, and then try to close it.
These are not like the cheap shit grippers you get at the supermarket. You are allowed to set them in your hand like this. Its called a deep set. Though if you’re questioning my ability to close, then take a look at my other vids. I have many other COC3 closes out there.
Good strong work bro! You'll get your 225LB OH PRESS. I have no doubt. 👊 After 35 years of training, that's the only lift this old man still hits heavy (for me anyway)...stay healthy. 🙏
Thanks mate 😊 I think im miles off them 2 plates, but I can dream haha. Maybe if I gain some weight but I really don’t want to. I prefer being lighter.
Keep it up
I intend to haha. Got a bit left in in me yet
Good work brother
Thank you so much 😀
Can i get full workout routine that you follow...and keep up the good work✨️
It’s literally in the title haha. I just switch out the overhead presses sometimes for weighted dips. Take a look through my more recent vids, and you will see I just follow a basic 5/3/1 FSL structure 😎
More like an inch and 1/4
I think you only showed us the rating on the first gripper but not the rest but you didn't mind showing us that gay little twirl you did with it like it's a pistol or something and you're Dirty Harry with that little sissy gripper.

Am 13 yo and training for3 years qnd i can do it the deepest ur CAN possible be at and with 32 kilos for 1 rep (just for the record)
My shoulders would snap if I went any deeper 😂 Keep trying though. Reasonably good.
Solid! It's funny though, the average gym bro would have no idea how impressive this actually is. There is an extremely limited amount of people on earth who can close this thing.
Thanks haha. I think I would struggle to close a 3 now though as I have focused on my weight lifting more these days.
@IronHandsDan I'm just getting back into grippers after about 10 years off. I used to be an official Ironmind referee. I was never great with grippers though. Hub lifts were my specialty
Definitely. Many can't even close the #1 when first trying it.
The 3 is not a close
Because it wasn’t done from credit card set?
@@IronHandsDan تبقى فراغ بسيط اقل من ٠.٥ سانتي (translation)
Oh. Well I think your mistaken. Though if you’re questioning my ability to close it I have plenty of other videos of my closing a 3 😅
im 70 kg and my best is 40 kg for 5, no joking
That’s still pretty good. The overhead press is an annoying lift to progress at.
Static strength is not the same as dinamic strength. I don't care if it is legit , you are not strong enough dinamically.
What are you on about?
Wicked bro
Thanks mate ❤
Interesting 😂. I can deadlift over 320kg but I struggle with 2. I can't fully close it. Yet grip isn't an issue on the deadlift. I use mix grip. I never wear straps.
320kg! Thats awesome. My best is 255kg currently. I never use straps either. My hands have always been pretty adaptable. Dunno why. Haven’t really used my Grippers much lately, so probably couldn’t close a 3 right now. It usually only takes me a few sessions to regain my strength though.
Pretty sure it's a technique issue. #2 should be pretty easy for a strenght athlete.
@argsgsgsgnngndg9894 nah definitely a grip weakness. But just goes to show someone with elite level deadlift strength can still lack grip strength. Whilst an other person can have elite level grip strength and a subpar deadlift. I've used the No.2 grippers for 4 or 5 weeks now and can now only just close them 😂. Moving on to No 2.5 now
@@ViciousHaze6378 is a triple body weight deadlift sub par? 😂😂😂
@IronHandsDan sorry dude thats not what i meant. I meant in terms absolute strength. Strong grip doesn't always equat to deadlift strength. My grip strength is way weaker then yours. Yet ive never had a issue in terms of grip strength on the deadlift

was the last set of 5 your amrap set on the dips?
I don’t think I did any amrap sets.
Beast mode! I just saw some of your videos about captains of crush! Any tips on how to conquer number 2?
Errrr Best thing to do is just keep on trying. Took me a year to close the 3, and all I really did was double overhand deadlifts and fargripz pull ups. Learn how to set the gripper in your hands properly to. It makes a big difference 😎 Hope that helps
nice progress
Thanks ☺️
as a 260kg puller in the conventional stance, I feel like your gonna hurt your back the way you yank it, and don't pull the slack out of the bar first. Also if you keep your head a little higher your back will have more power when the pull starts, and you'll feel tighter. And it looks like your doing more of a stiff leg deadlift. But maybe im totatly wrong and your form works for you... just trying to give some tips to a fellow lifter. Nice lifts tho!
Thanks mate. Appreciate the comment. I will take on board what ya said, but I think this form just works fine for me currently. Never had any injuries from deadlifts. Squats though…..
How you got there with those long arms man, impressive
Thank you mate. Its just practice though
