Washing Machine waste backing up to Kitchen sink
Hi I have one of these valves and want to take my dishwasher out but the valve is stuck open and won't shut..is it best to force it or work it abit? Thx.
Hi there, I wouldn't force it but best to try moving it both ways to make sure it can turn, If this doesn't work then turn off your mains water supply and fit a new valve.
I have a y shape pipe with the hot water going to the dishwasher and cold to the washing machine, can i cap off the cold while the blue lever turned on? Will the pressure cause an issue?
Hi there, If you can send some photos then I can assist you with the correct information. All the best Mustafa
Hello, thanks for the video, it's very clear. However, I am trying to clone from a different make of fob (it's the same 433.92 MHz frequency of the CAME). When I follow your instructions, which work up to the third and final instruction, where my CAME does not flash three times. Any help would be gratefully received. Thank you.
That probably won't work. Even though the frequency is the same, the code setting and transmitter protocol will not be equal from a different manufacturer.
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer, much appreciated.
Bank holiday Sunday in the kitchen doing exactly this what's not to love
Thank you! Great simple video.
I appreciate these quick little educational videos
Excellent video , well explained and relevant information provided
I use a wired fitting on my dill too get most off
Thank you!
I just changed homes , no more dripping tap's, sorted ? Jimmy the plumber
Thank you so much.
Perfect view, perfectly described, length of video also perfect. Thanks ! ❤
Why didn’t you use the rubber in between your clamps?
You can also unscrew the blue/red lever and then remove the lever to alleviate knocking it to the open position 🎉
Hi there, Yes you can do that, however if you want to reinstate the appliance you will never find the screw or handle. As a example when I have tried to turn a valve off especially in a emergency there hasn't been a lever in place so then you are in a lot more trouble, as this pipe may feed another water supply eg taps.
You got some great videos. Surprised you don't have more views.
Short and to the point. Thanks
Merci!
Is these the rolling code ones?
Don't waste your decade waiting for the information on the video. The commercials are so heavy on this one that your machine will rust out before you get to the information to fix it.
were do I purchase that
Hi you can purchase this from screwfix product code is (75883) and its £7.19p including vat.
No matter how tight I tighten the cap valve it still leaks, I even used the pipe tape and still leaking, any tip to stop the leak?
Hi there, If you have got a rubber washer this will never leak, however if the actual valve is leaking from the nut itself you can tighten it slightly.
@@diyshop839 I actually ended up putting a washer and it stopped the leaking
Thanks
thank you very much i was crying that i couldnt place it back and im using my dads laptop and if i brke that i will be dead thank you very much
What an effort no thanks blow torch for me and nitromoors
There is a vented trap in the video. If it wasn't then the nearest available air would be through the trap, releasing the bad air out.
Zia
Thank you Buddy, you're a lifesaver
Thank you for saving me 😂, awesome solution 👍
Seems simple but my transmitter has no lights.
Unscrew the blue tap?
Hi there, Yes you can do that unscrew the lever, however in my experience what happens is that if you need the valve working again you can never find the screw and lever. Also people then use pliers to turn it on and off, then if there was a emergency to turn the water off, there is no lever and you would need to find the pliers which isn't as quick.
Hello, can i clone the code from 432M to 432EE using the same procedure?
Hi there, Yes you can as it has the same frequency 433.92MHz
Hey ya ! I just saw your video. We're having the same problem, and we tried to bleed the pump, but the screw just won't turn. It's way too hard to turn. Is there any solution for this ? Thank you !
Hi there, You can spray a little bit of WD40 around the bleed screw and wait 30 minutes to one hour for it to work, then you should be able to turn it anticlockwise. Hope this helps.
Nice one! Not bought one of those just yet. Just wanted to know if it has a non-return valve inside. From your excellent video, I can see it has.
I would like to thank you for your positive comment, and the price of the product aswell, unfortunately some people have no idea.
Nicely done, simple & to the point, excellent vid 👍 Still the same Screwfix code & only £1.59 in 2024 👍
£2.89 now. Show inflation.
Prices are expected to change depending on the time of purchase, also Prices vary from different suppliers.
Mine is buzzing when the heating/water is off. Would this fix it? Thanks
Hi there, It's unusual for it to be making a noise if your heating and hot water is off. However it's worth giving it a go as a process of elimination.
@@diyshop839 OK, thanks for the reply 🙂
Great tutorial well done
Simple but very well explained, big thanks!
Hi there, Its clear in my video that if the pin on the trv has worn out, then your only option is to replace it. There isn't a way to replace the pin by itself if there was it would be a different video.
This doesn't address the valve not working it merely replaces it with one that does.
what if the old one is broken? How do you set it up then?
Hi there, You would need to purchase a new one, and if your neighbour or work colleague has a existing one, then you can follow the same procedure in my video.
what are the names of that fitting?
Hi there, It's a Mcalpine T23U waste blanking cap 1 1/2 inch toolstation product code 28272.
@@diyshop839 thanks so much man. Your video is literally what am doing right now lol am glad that I found this video. Keep doing the good stuff man
Pull the head gear off…it’s a bit stiff. (!) New video: how to remove head gear after 24 years…😐
Hi there, Some times it's impossible you can try limescale remover and let it soak for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Unfortunately it's one of those things.
This worked 😁✨🔥🥰 thank you ever so much ♥️
You’re welcome 😊
i have a problem with a tee valve which does not have enough threads to totally seal it so water just come poring out
Hi there, As long as you have a rubber washer on the blanking nut, then you shouldn't have a problem. However if the valve doesn't close fully or the thread has been cross threaded then you would need to replace the valve.
I have a look more hissing and water escaping than in the video. Do I just let it keep going until it stops?
Hi there, once you have the water coming out that means the air has been bleeded from the pump, and that's the job completed. If you have any further problems feel free to ask. All the best.
Thanks for the video, i have done exactly that however it is still leaking? I am confused
Hi There, I would check that the cradle/basket hasn't got any limescale or debris on it which will create a barrier between the washer and cradle allowing the water to pass through therefore not allowing the washer to seat properly. Also I would check that the water level is not too high as this can give you the same reading, if so you can adjust the screw that is attached to the fill valve, lastly your flush valve could be faulty. All the best.
@@diyshop839 thanks for the advice. Lets hope i can get it fixed.
And what about ticking sounds around 2 or 3 times a second? Is that the capacitor ?
Hi there, Its unlikely to be the capacitor if your pump turns off and then back on again. There is a possibility that it is a faulty wiring issue in the pump, there's also is a possibility that the impeller is struggling to turn, due to a build up of sludge in the system. I have got another video which you may find helpful, this is the link: ua-cam.com/video/O5ProxAE4f8/v-deo.htmlsi=jzHpIvZvFI9fa0I6 All the best.
Hi there. How come when you put the cap on there wasn't a build up of pressure? If the water has no where to go when the valve is open surely this would result in a leak or burst pipe somewhere else? I'm a new homeowner so perhaps this is a dilly question 😅
Hi there, This is a fail safe method, if for example the valve was to turn on and you have capped of the valve this simply acts as a end of a pipe run. So there's no chance of a burst pipe or a leak. All the best
Thanks a lot for clarifying :) @@diyshop839
